This has always puzzled me... when the users are determining what is/is not appropriate for our posts, the final word would be (I assume) you. It seems like, if anything, you would get much MORE leeway, as you know exactly where the line of acceptability is.
Thank you PopClick but I think it's kinda the other way around. We grant great liberty and "leeway" to users here, and then some of those same people want to grant very little liberty or "leeway" to me :D

Oh well :)

Anyway I don't want this thread to degenerate into putting me under a microscope for saying "yuck". Anyway thank you sister :)

Not sure what you mean lil_Christian but I think you're awesome and very mature for your age. You must have a very good family. :)

Eeeh I can be a bit of a spitfire. So sometimes I can snap towards people before I realize, "You know...that's a REALLY bad idea." And sometimes I'll argue over the pettiest things...like the word yuck. :p lol

but thank you! :) I have a pretty awesome family if you ask me ;)

Just wanna say I respect gay rights and think its way past time to let ppl live...they r not hurting anyone...gay rights shud have been an obvious foundation a looong time ago, too many ppl are limited in their views and it is holding the world back from having true equality for all...

Just my 2 cents...
I have to disagree with you on this one.

I have had to deal in the past with many gays and i must say that they are the persons that most judge others in a very hard way , they are mockers of everything they disagree and their "defense" according to them is that there they need "freedom" like everyone else (when they already have it).
So their rights and the "equality" that they ask ,like someone said in this thread, are already given and i dont see why we should twist the laws just because they want.

I'm not sure what u mean...I meant that everyone shud respect everybody...gays shud respect nongays and vice versa...and I'm sure not all gays r "mockers" u r generalizing...and if something is "taboo" its not exactly free...a guy an a girl can kiss an no one looks twice...but 2 guys or 2 girls kiss and a lot of ppl r like "ew" ... does it matter? Its not affecting ur own personal life so get over it...if its not hurting anyone then let it be, if everyone adopted that attitude the world wud be a much better place...

It's thevway you go about it. You see a gay person, you don't tell them they're icky. You love on them. Btw.. It's the act thats the abomination. Not the person.

*BANGS HEAD ON DESK*.. You clearly havent read my posts at all.

I SAID THE lifestyle choice is what I dont approve of, I DO NOT hate the PERSON themselves. Every single post I have written has said this, so your arugement with me is invalid. I agree with you, the SIN is whats an abomination NOT the person, and at NO TIME did I ever say otherwise.

So, perhaps before you go judging other people so quickly, it would be a wise idea to ACTUALLY read the posts you're replying to. Go on.. I DARE YOU.. READ THEM. In every SINGLE post I have made, I have not once said THE PERSON THEMSELVES is yuck/an abomination but RATHER the lifestyle choice.

So, you are clearly wrong, and by commenting further, you're only sinking deeper into an arguement, which you clearly don't understand.

People think that pointing out the fact that a particular sin is abominable and gross will drive people away from God. The truth is, unless people realize their sin is abominable and disgusting they will never realize they need to be saved from it. Thats what the law of God does, it makes us realize how bad what we are doing actually is and how desperately bad we need a Savior.

Have you been wacthing The Way of the Master, with Kirk Cameron and Ray Comfort?lol.I ask that because they show christians how to spread the word of God,by useing the ten comandments as a mirrior to show people how they despertly need to repent and accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and savior.I agree with you.I belive telling people only what makes them feel comfortable can lead a person straight to hell. It's important to speak about sin the same way that God does.As a born again christian,I would perfer if he wouldv'e used the word Abomination, when describing the way that God view homosexuals.

I've only watched that show a handful of times but I have noticed that they use that method, but that is what the Bible says. The law was never meant to save us, but to show us how sinful we are.

Rom 3:20 For by works of the law no human being will be justified in his sight, since through the law comes knowledge of sin.

Rom 7:7 What then shall we say? That the law is sin? By no means! Yet if it had not been for the law, I would not have known sin. For I would not have known what it is to covet if the law had not said, "You shall not covet."

Too much belief in human understanding as being right. Please don't lean on your understanding.

Hi there lil_Christian :)

Well I can see that reasoning -- let people do what they want, as as long as they're not hurting others. It's true that we shouldn't try to legislate morality. Like, we're not trying to make laws against fornication, etc.

But as I stated before, the one big problem is that "equal rights" to marry naturally means equal rights to adopt children. So it is hurting other people -- the most innocent and vulnerable people -- little children.

It should be unthinkable to give a baby boy to two gay men to "raise" (as Obama obviously thinks is okay), and call that a family. So that's my main issue with "gay marriage".

Studies have been done that show kids in same sex families do fine, and i personally know "kids" (now adults) who were raised in same sex households and have turned out perfectly fine.

It's not like gay parents push there sexuality on their kids just as straight parents don't flaunt their straightness to their children.

yes gay rights was the obvious foundation for Sodom and Gommorrah, don't see why the world won't want to rebuild those cities......I heard Babylon was quite the city as well...so anyone want to build a few towers?
That is just silly.

It's not from him personally, but I also got one in regards to the white houses "we the people" petition site about the petition to have obama support the LGBTQ community.

Nope... I am not that kind of conservative Christian.
Apparently you are, if that's how you define "conservative christian". "Robo said yuck, so I'll say yuck back".
