We have this conversation every year but will interject an opinion. Have you thought about this...
He sees you when you're sleeping. He knows when you're awake. He knows when you've been bad or good...
So he's omniscient like a god? So theoretically one could argue that this is idolatry
Really to a good point. "santa" "satan" His entire purpose is to be the glory of Christmas to take what is the message of the saviors birth and create heresy throug inventing a "diety" santa is etrnal, omini present, is the giver of gifts, is a judge of peoples actions having the naughty and nice list. and if a person is honest santa is taught more than Jesus in the world come christmas time, making the holiday appear to be His day. some would think it silly to recognix=ze but in truth it Robs Jesus of His birthday in the greater worlda definate goal and design of the enemy

"Santa" means "holy" or "saint" (depending on the language). Satan is the name we give to Lucifer after the fall. Lucifer was the good archangel, Satan is the fallen.

Okay why are talking about a suit in a deck of cards and singling the spades from the hearts, diamonds, and clubs?
To "call a spade a spade" is a figurative expression which refers to calling something "as it is",[SUP][1][/SUP] that is, by its right or proper name, without "beating about the bush"—being outspoken about it, truthfully, frankly, and directly, even to the point of being blunt or rude, and even if the subject is considered coarse, impolite, or unpleasant.

Sheesh.

This type of thing hurts the Church's witness to unbelievers. He needs to find a better, less self seeking way to witness to people. Try doing it without resorting to shock tactics in order to get attention while making sure to film yourself and post it online in order to get even MORE attention.

Do you call 6'5" 300 lbs. dark complexioned Black men Spades? Are you so outspoken, blunt and rude to such as them? No, you're not.

I rejoice at the common sense that has taken over the last few pages. Whew!

You really don't have a sense of humor do you? I was joking around to lighten the mood. You were the one who brought in the racist comment which it was uncalled for because you have no idea what other people are thinking and it's wrong to assume anything

Have you ever noticed how the man in the red suit and black boots, who is supposed to know who has been bad of good, seems to get the meanest kids everything that ask for?

One Santa that I know gives each child a candy cane and each parent a card with the story of Christ, along with a copy of the plane of salvation, in it.

Regardless of whether you let your kids believe in Santa or not, take the time each Christmas morning to read Luke 1 and 2 to your family, and thank God for the salvation that he has provided you through Christ.

But if any santas die this holiday season I am blaming the hate speech of this pastor and all of his supporters in this thread. Santas blood will be on your hands...not mine.
