Classic example of 'lets sin bc we have grace'
Hell doesn't exist bc God is so willing to be gray.. That's time to get it right... plenty accounts of judgement to prove He's not gray

Very bold to say it's ok bc God is ok with it sometimes.. wrong way to interpret scripture
Holy Holy Holy is what they say before Him... not forgiving forgiving forgiving or loving loving loving or faithful faithful faithful or any other attributes folks present in sin arguments

Over 2000 years later & still straining at gnats while swallowing camels..... There's nothing new under the sun.

The only real difference in the last days is the camels are as big as whales.
I'm guilty as charged, but what's really bothering me is that I'm agreeing with you lately. :)

Adding light (white) to sin (black) is an attempt to make sin "not as bad". That is why there is no gray (white and black mixed).

What the woman did (adultery) is black. There is no gray for sin. Adultery, bearing false witness, etc... Christ's compassion isn't what we are talking about when saying "black or white". Christ has showed us His compassion by sacrificing Himself so that we can be made clean again. Sacrificing is no longer needed as He was the ultimate sacrifice.

Demi hits it right on the head when she says that Christs commands her to go and sin no more. He isn't defending her actions, He forgives the blackness (sin) when we exercise the atonement. Thank God for the atonement.
And telling children about Santa is not sinning. Why can't you understand that?

The little foxes, little leaven, don't you think that same principle applies to everything else or you skip scripture that says don't compromise

Brother, I've said that I personally don't think pretending there is a Santa is wrong. I know some people think it takes away from Christ, but I disagree. We can pretend and play with our children in conjunction to focusing on the birth of our Savior.

What I've been saying is that it's wrong to lie to children about Santa being real. This goes beyond "playing" and "pretending". It's bearing false witness and it is unnecessary because kids can know the truth and still have fun pretending. I know I did.

I honestly don't know of any parent who has said...hey little Johnny, Santa is a real dude that lives at the North Pole. You're so silly!

Isn't it something that both sides think they know what a legalist is, & that it's not them?

It's the legalists of our day that's straining at gnats & swallowing camels by the dozens.

...Really? I accidentally spilled the beans when I was 7 or 8 when I was with other family members my age. My parents pulled me aside and reminded me that some parents want their kids to really believe in Santa. More than half of my friends teach their children about Santa being real... they aren't the only ones I can promise you that.

I mean... it's not a phenomenon for an older child suspecting Santa isn't real and asking his/her parents if Santa is real. I didn't think this was something new...

Ya really. Don't know of anyone who sat their kids down and just lied about Santa. Not saying it doesn't happen but it's stil none of your business if little Suzi wants to leave a tooth on the dresser. Obviously you have the sin of being a busybody....like this pastor.

A busybody because parents talk with other parents asking if their children know the truth or not? It's pretty common dialogue around this time of the year. lol

And once again, you're not even disagreeing substantively with me...You're just wanting to banter and respond emotionally. Do you agree or disagree with what I've been saying (pretending is fine, lying is not)?

It's all just pointless. I can't believe I wasted my time on any of this. And...as far as lying, log meet splinter.

So all this does is make people hate Christians more because they are seen as bullies
