Non parents giving parenting advice is really silly....and arrogant. I don't like arrogance.
Hahaha, God is our Father. His commandments are for us, His children. The "don't lie to your children" isn't my advice... I advocate it, but it comes from God, not me or another man. You don't like that I've said this for the reason you stated, you simply don't like me. Fair enough...

By the way, how do you know if I do or don't have kids?

You're the hero that was here a few weeks ago defending a female pastor for having an abortion. Today you're defending an idiot pastor for crushing innocent dreams of innocent children. Let me guess what you'll defend tomorrow -- NAMBLA. Not impressed.
Never "defended her for having an abortion." In fact, I repeatedly stated that her actions were a sin. That the blood of Jesus Christ covers her sin. If that's a defense, it's not mine... Christ paid for her sins as he did for yours and mine. That's all I said... I hope the gospel doesn't offend you.

I don't know his heart or his intentions. If I had to guess, I think he's "offended" by the commercialism of Santa and the taking away of Jesus Christ. I can sympathize to some degree with his offense... I don't condone what he does but I can't necessarily condemn him either, other than he should have direct his message to the parents and not the children.

I agree that there are much better ways he could deliver the message in a more receptive way. However, I don't think it's "cruel" what he did... If anything I think it's humorous. Really... think about it... He's in the mall trying to convince people there is no such thing as Santa Claus... I know people love to exercise their right to be offended (the man is offended by Santa and the people are offended he is exercising his rights to free speech) but come on...

How many safe places do we need? Every time a group of people say something we disagree with we cry out for a safe place... To say "He doesn't have the right to tell other people's kids what is true..."... well, the founding father's disagree with you. Now, they don't have to DO what he says, but this man has every right to say anything (as long as it's not threatening) that he beliefs and feels. The people have a few choices to make... Leave the mall, request the mall security ask him to stop, or try to deny him his right to free speech by physical force or by communication.

Well Id say his heart and his intent is very clear in the video.

Possibly but that is his own opinion. Others may not share that opinion. Yes, stores capitalize on every holiday. They dont care what they have to use to get people in.If that offends him, stay home, dont take part in it.

What message? Christmas is about a Jesus they don't know or believe in? Its like me walking into my local Wal-Mart and screaming "ELEPHANT"!!!!! Makes as much sense to people who dont know the Lord.

No it was cruel. These kids were having a fun day with their parents going to see Santa. Harmless. Then some stranger starts yelling at them. I was a sensitive kid and this would have scared me to death.

Quote " To say "He doesn't have the right to tell other people's kids what is true..."... well, the founding father's disagree with you.

Dont recall them saying " thou hast the right to act like a donkey, scare the fire out of children and tell them their parents are liars." Missed that one.

Having a right to do something doesn't mean one should do something.I have a right to tell you you're ugly and your momma dresses you funny, but that makes me a jerk and a donkey for doing it.If this was reversed and atheists started yelling at Christian kids it would be a whole different story.

You're telling the person who has been saying lying is against God's word, that he hasn't "lied about having kids yet". :p

That's just as ironic as a Bernie supporter telling an individual he/she needs to pay for their own college education.

I'm just gonna spell it out straight for you but I doubt you'll get it. I was in the situation the other day where my son asked me a question. Now I'm not going to go into details about what that question was or why he asked it but the fact was that if I just told him the truth of the matter it would not have benefited him....in fact it would have put him in a bad situation....one that he would have felt in the middle of...one that he might have felt he should be able to fix. Probably even left a scar on him...hurt his little baby soul etc.

In that instance telling him the truth would have been harmful to him. So with that said....your black and white truth should always be told to a child is ignorant at best and abusive at worst. You really should just shut up now and go back to arguing about something else.

I think what bothers me the most about modern day christians is their propensity to black and white thinking. Interestingly they have that in common with common criminal's, wife beaters and child abusers. This santa basher and his defenders are no different....imo.

...You don't think it's extreme and dramatic at all to compare people who think kids should be told the truth about Santa Claus to criminals, wife beaters, and child abusers? You can disagree, but this just seems like an unfair character attack.

By going into a shopping mall and doing it like this guy did...no...I don't think it is extreme at all. And for people to defend this behavior as free speech is laughable.

You,Sirk,Willie brothers you're good men, good men. We don't always agree but times like these make up for it. :)
It's an honor to call you sister, and I rejoice at the depth of your faith in Jesus. You are indeed a good and faithful servant, dear sister. God bless you.

Odd, much of what God shows us in His word is indeed black and white. If we believe as God shows us, are many Christians following the path that will lead us to be common criminals, wife beaters, and child abusers? I would think it would lead us to follow the opposite path.

You can break the law and go against God's word... but please don't be self righteous and do it "in the name of the children!" Your priority should be to God's word first...
Protecting innocence is a God-given responsible it's that I don't take lightly. Too bad you don't understand. At 34 you should already, but all is not lost.

Well, simply by understanding that God's word is 100% absolute truth and not relative truth, this would lend credence to much of His truth being black and white.
You just took the easy way....I wanna see how "much of the bible is black and white". If it is so black and white as you say then why are there 3500+ denominations?

Where is it written not to indulge children in innocent, light hearted stories? Rudolph never caused anyone to go on a shooting spree.

How is believing that God's word is 100% absolute truth the easy way?
Many people do not take the bible as literal truth. Sometimes, they pick and choose, sometimes they ignore what seems uncomfortable. Standing for God's word as 100% absolute truth instead of relative truth is often harder. Perhaps this also explains why there are so many denominations.
