What harm does it to tell your child about Santa..none (besides you lied..)
What harm does it do to not tell your child about santa?...none either besides the question''whos that'' and answering that.
What is there to argue lol We all survived it and we all ended up figuring out it isnt true (which some of us were most likely pretty upset about) but we are all alive

Where is it written that it's ok for parents to lie to their children about Santa Claus and magical flying reindeer? I'm pretty sure that God has said that He hates ALL magic in His word and that we are for the most part never supposed to lie.
Like I said though, the pastor should have talked to the parents, not the children.
Unless of course, the children are ready to hear the truth... but that is left for the Holy Spirit to lead someone.

A lot of people have different opinions.
That's why this silly thread is so long, and so heated.
A lot of people have very different opinions.
So you like to pose random hypothetical questions. What we're discussing is simply a lie that has gotten out of hand over the centuries. Will I lie to my children if I ever have children? I will try not to of course. If I do lie by accident, I will simply repent to the Lord and He will forgive me. What's your point here? You surely aren't helping your case.
