Before God breathed life, he was an inanimate object. Comparing apples and bananas. It says later in Genesis 5 I recall, that Adam produced a son after his image, and thus all humans are produced after the image of Adam. Meaning, all have the breath of life. I would also be careful about taking something more spiritual in nature, and trying to use it to justify something biological.
Thats a pretty big leap to assume that made in his image means they already had the breath of life without you know taking a breath...

It's not a leap. The breath of life is more of a metaphor than it is speaking of your lungs. If you want to go that route, the mother's body takes care of that part and provides oxygen for the little guy from the very beginning.

I don't get it. This plan-B pill is not about abortion. Taking this pill keeps a fertilized egg from connecting with the uterine wall and start developing from there? I've been told that's what it does? You're telling me that fertilized egg is a human being? That's fanaticism, not to mention confusion. So you're going to claim God made that fertilization happen so He wants that potential baby to come into this world so that morning after pill is murder? Give me a break! What fantasy world do you live in? God said NOT to have sex out of marriage so unwanted children would not be born into this world. This whole world is running on its own outside of God's will, other than those that keep His laws and commandments. Hence, you are saying that if someone interferes with something that's already happened outside of God's will, they'll be going against God's will. And as for a child supposedly being involved? What child? What consciousness exists there? We're talking about a barely fertilized egg! All you're arguing is semantics, no real breathing conscious person whatsoever.

Frankly, I don't think most people that debate the abortion issue really give diddly squat about any unborn fetus, they just want to champion an argument. What about the millions of neglected, starving, abused, and forgotten living, breathing children already in this world? How about you champion them? Food in their stomachs? Now that would make sense. You accomplish absolutely nothing with debates like this. Absolutely NO ONE on this earth, least of all, unborn fetuses gain anything from this garbage.

Who's truth?
Your's or Gods truth.
God champions his own truths since he dictates and sets what truth is, not us.
Any arguments are brought upon through those who are unwilling to accept his truth.
Did you know that it is GOD who knitted you together in your mothers womb
That it is him who offers you a chance to know him and do his good will.
He made you, and knows the number of hairs on your head.
I made mention before that those who are for Birth control and abortion have already been born.
In other words, the unborn never even had a chance to state THEIR opinion on the matter.
Of course they never can if they keep getting killed off.
Furthermore is it not the born who think they can play God and dictate who is allowed to be born and who doesn't making decisions based upon fear when they instead should be making decisions based upon faith in God.

Do people here seek truth or merely look to what serves themselves.
If it is ever truth, The truth is shown again here in this next scripture.

Jeremiah 1:5
Before I formed you in the womb I knew you,
before you were born I set you apart;

What does it say here other than before a baby has even been conceived in the womb God had a plan for that person.
What was that person suppose to be for the Lord if satan has people convinced that we're the ones who can pick and choose who gets born and who doesn't?
Can you predict the future?
Can you say what a child will grow up to be?
Can you say what the mother may be blessed with after having full faith and trust in God.
Because much of the arguments against Gods word seem to be coming from people who aren't willing to listen to Gods word but they still want any rewards and blessing of God to fall upon them.

Right here:
Ecclesiastes 12
[SUP]13 [/SUP]Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter:
Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
Are you suggesting we're allowed to pick and choose?
And if anyone is going to pick and choose will it only be the ones which serve the self?

The fetus gets all of its oxygen and nutrients through the placenta and umbilical cord---a process called fetal circulation. In post-natal breathing, blood circulates from the heart, to the lungs, then out to the body. As the blood reaches the lungs, it takes in oxygen and filters out carbon dioxide. In prenatal breathing, or fetal circulation, the oxygen arrives in the mother's blood, via the umbilical cord. The umbilical capillaries in the placenta filter the oxygen from the mother's blood to the fetal blood stream and filters carbon dioxide from the fetal blood to the mother's blood stream. The oxygenated blood flows to the fetal heart but, instead of flowing out to the lungs, the blood remains in the heart and circulates through the fetal body. They dont actually breathe on their own till birth.

Well, I'm not really thinking that babies aren't alive until they start to breath. I thought about that afterward, and it would seem more likely that that was true just with Adam, since he was formed from the dust. It was just something I momentarily wondered about.

As I recall uou have established yourself quite well as a heretic in other threads. Believing that everyone will be saved, and none in hell. Do correct me if I am wrong. Sometimes I mix and match names.

People who fight day and night against God, will never understand his word. Paul established that quite well with the case of the natural man.
Yes well I will correct you. I certainly believe that there will be the destruction of the wicked. I believe in hellfire, that it will burn up the devil, his angels, and all who's names are not in the lambs book of life. I've said this before. I just believe they will burn up like Sodom and Gomorreah burned up.

But I gotta admit, when you call someone a heretic, that shows me how you think. A heretic is simply someone that disagrees with another group that consider themselves authorities on some subject. You're probably a heretic in the eyes of the Catholic Church. Do you care? No? Because you think the Catholic Church is a heretical in regard to God's true Word? Well that's the way I look at many of these beliefs the modern Christian Church teaches. I believe they're wrong, false teachings, etc. So yeah, I couldn't care less if you call me a heretic when it comes to that. I know in my heart I want only God's truth, and I know my God knows that. That's all I care about.

Ah, anhiliationism. So you're either a Jehovah Witness, or a Seventh Day Adventist in all likelyhood. Both being cults of course.

I think that's the root of the problem. You trust yourself too much. Jeremiah 17:9

Well, I'm not really thinking that babies aren't alive until they start to breath.
Biologically, it is clear that they are living prior to oxygen entering their lungs. Those who seek to deny it through convoluted means are seeking to justify their sins.

I thought about that afterward, and it would seem more likely that that was true just with Adam, since he was formed from the dust.
Yes, the situation with Adam is an entirely different situation. Adam is not a reproduction. He is the first product, formed from the dust. Dust, is an inanimate thing. It has no life of it's own. God must put life into it where it once had no life before. The conception of a child, is an after the fact issue.

No, actually I'm not a 7th day Adventist or a Jehovah's witness. I've come to believe these things of my own accord after studying and praying for many years. But again, you show your colors loud as usual. Logical error! Logical error! You immediately judge me according to what you've heard on the internet. I must belong to some this or that group because I believe something different than you're parroted orthodox view! Therefore nothing I say should be listened to no matter how Biblically sound it is! (As if you've absorbed a single thing I've said so far?) lol. Yeah I know. You think it's unBiblical. But I think you're preaching lies. I'll say it straight out. You make God look like a monster with your lies. Whose side does that put you on? The enemy, that's who. So that's who you are to me. Your kind is an enemy of truth.

I've said this every which way I can and you just come back with the same parroted views as if you comprehend nothing beyond your blindness. I'm officially dusting my shoes off and walking away. I'll just pray the damage you do in this world will be limited.

Oh my goodness. I just noticed you're 20 years old. You know what they say about "it's only what you learn after you think you know everything that really counts.'' So try to learn something more than that.

this is pretty straight-forward.

make abortion - illegal.

period.

abortion involves more than one person = conspiracy.

anyone conspiring (without success) to seek, and or provide abortions goes to prison for conspiracy to commit murder.

anyone successfully providing them does life for murder - including the abortionist; nurses; janitors; security guards....anyone knowing and not speaking - as well as - the women who sought out the hired killer, and the man who drove her there....and every other conspirator.

.....

one generation will have people considering life in prison before sex with no intention of taking responsibility for the consequences.

SCOTUS - 55 million + consecutive life terms for each and every "Judge" who approved this satanic perversion.

rinse and repeat for abortive - murder - contraceptives - prison for providers etc...eventually the whole thing becomes another sordid underground demonic crime to be stopped at every turn.

In Ireland recently, there was a case that is stirring huge media and human interest. About an Eastern woman who was having complications in her pregnancy. The doctors say they weren't sure if the woman would pull through, and they were almost certain the child would not. But abortion is illegal.

Both the mother and the child died.

that's sad. very sad indeed.
no one wants anyone to die.
hopefully they did all they could for both.

what does that have to do with 55+ million legalized murders (Roe vs Wade) in America alone?

Why is this thread turning into an abortion debate? It's supposed to be about Plan-B.

Think of Judah. There are parts of the bible where someone is put to death for 'spilling the seed', and not producing children for the tribes of Israel. Then other parts where because the wife conceived through 'harlotry', she is put to death along with her unborn child.

So if we're going old testament; anyone who either spills their seed or conceived via harlotry should be put to death.

Then there's instances of wives being poisoned by jealous husbands because the wife committed adultery. It's fair to say the old testament views on abortion and killing aren't exactly black and white, ie 'no abortion'.

It isn't really consistent in its teachings of harlotry, and incest among other things. Daughters getting fathers drunk on wine and having sex with them. Etc, etc etc.

These Old Testament stories are often metaphors and stories, not to be taken as teaching (in themselves with each specific detail), nor as 'what a person should do in the case of .... such and such'.

Jesus came along, and what did he teach; to let the sinners sin. To give people CHOICE, and even when they make the wrong one (adulterous woman for instance), to forgive them.

Some things can't be conquered, and won't be conquered, and shouldn't be 'conquered' anyway. Conquering isn't anybody's calling apart from the one who has the authority to conquer.

The logic that applies to the world we actually live in didn't seem to do much, maybe the biblical instances and teaching will.

I don't really assume the bible as something I have to force out into the world, I choose it as something to try to live by. I think that's the thing with modern christianity; it tells everyone they have to jump on the bandwagon or else.

And 'the sinners' are seen a lesser species somehow.

'Mirror, mirror on the wall, who's the purest of us all?'
