Thats where we should take our job seriously and pray for our leaders :p which people dont like doing because of the resentment we get planted in our hearts when listening to dumba...

Yep. A sociopath's vote for a good thing is still a vote for a good thing. They're crazy, but self-interest is insanely pliable and know how the base butters their bread.

One of them has an amazingly awesome and consistent voting record for the cause of liberty. I hope he goes nowhere, but remains guided by people of superior quality.

It's amazing how God's Word addresses metaphysical things with utter simplicity. God knows the mind of man and as such the things which we make obscure are not really obscure at all, but deviations from simple truth.

Well our biggest issue is the striving for ''equality''. It opens door after door. Thats what democrazy started... democracy aint Gods will. He wants a kingdom.. not a bunch of politically correct dummies ruling the beginning of a one world gov.

Pray for them and hold them, hold them accountable, and replace them when necessary. That or run yourself like you seem inclined toward doing. :p

Never stand to be governed by your inferiors.

Egalitarianism is okay in so far as it recognizes all men to be equal in their inherent dignity as creations in our Lord's image as well as their inherent depravity since the Garden of Eden.

The trouble is when we go beyond that recognition and seek to make equal. Because of our depravity, the project of making equal (as opposed to recognizing equal) is inherently doomed.

In a sentence, you have summed up the fundamental problem with tyrants and totalitarians- they would assume the mantle of God when it is not their place in the created order.

It's also the basic theme of Paradise Lost. You are very wise for a sixteen-year-old.

We can dig out the root to the fall. pride leads to rebellion/witchcraft which leads to the fall.

You may have missed my more germane question. :p

Do you have to be born in the UK to be PM?
Only elected Members of Parliament can be Prime Minister not forgetting of course you have to belong to the winning party.

This is where the Europhiles should take note, the rules state that you can stand for an election if you are 18 years or older and you are a British, Irish or eligible COMMONWEALTH citizen! Any other nationality can not stand, so up yours Europe.

Up yours Europe, indeed. Lord knows the Eurocrats wanted to change that qualification in their heart of hearts.

So my friend, What do you think about the race for PM? Who do you favor? Etc.

True indeed.

Part of my career is mentoring young philsophical/political types like you. Maximize your effectiveness in the political arena. If you ever find yourself in want of good books to read/talk about your possible political career/discuss these things in general, my door is open.

Truth, I often find in my years of working elections that there are two kinds of politicians- the crazy sociopaths and those who endure and confound the sociopaths by not being sociopathic.

Sad but true, they are on both sides of the aisle and spout every flavor of political rhetoric imaginable. Those who maneuver around them (the endurers) are truly inspirational.
I see you have been following American politics....lol

We used to have a Raving Loony Party here. Now the Labour Party, our main opposition has taken over their policies.
They have made their Party unelectable by having a Marxist as leader. Most of the MPs want to get rid of him but he refuses to go. I expect to see the Party split in two. As the Chinese might say 'we live in interesting times'

Difficult choice as to who I want for Prime Minister, my only concern is that someone who is pro-remain may not be ruthless enough to make a proper break from the EU. Europe is telling us we can still have same trade deals with the EU if we keep an open door policy. I Seriously hope that anyone standing will not take this offer, if they do there will be blood bath on the streets as it will be a green light for all kinds of anarchists and right wing paramilitarys and anyone else who wants a pop at the establishment to riot and worse.

Here are my top 3.

Gove certainly makes all the right noises as to some extent seems the best person for the job, he is still listened to by everyone in the party, even though his friendships are strained due to siding with leave. Although I am wary about if he will continue where Cameron left off, however if he has taken us fully out we can always vote him out next election with the confidence that next government would not be able to make any new deals with the EU.

Fox
I do not think he has as much political influence across the party as Gove does, another person who has clearly stated the position on having to leave the EU with no deals in place regarding immigration

Leadsom could be a dark horse in this election, again another person with sensible approach to our trade and immigration, I can be confident she will also deliver the best for this country.

the other candidates, not to sure, I do not think May has the right qualities and along with Fox they both voted Remain so not sure where their loyalties still lay. Could be dangerous game to have a pro- Remain person in charge as they could be tempted to agree to something that would not be in our best interests.

In a five-way race, it's anyone's game. Particularly since they'll be power-jockeying with other MP's.

Having seen May speak, I am, as an American conservative, profoundly disappointed that she is the most likely choice. When I tuned in to her opening speech, I was expecting a new Maggie and got this pap about social justice, openness, and inclusivity.

I think my preferences pretty much match yours. I've heard Fox speak to a US News outlet before. He seems like a sharp guy. I'm going to have to read up more on Gove to decide if he is especially corrupt or just really, really good at working the system in the interest of his pet causes.

I do not trust Gove, he was backing Boris Johnson throughout and then stabbed him in the back. Smacks of "cannot be trusted".
