Are these God's thoughts?
'JEsus said to them 'let He who is without sin throw the first stone at her', and one by one they left, starting with the older men, till there was only Jesus left alone with her. He said to her 'Woman, who has condemned you? She said 'No one, Lord', and Jesus replied 'Nor do I condemn you, go forth and sin no more'.

When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”

13The Pharisees challenged him, “Here you are, appearing as your own witness; your testimony is not valid.”

14Jesus answered, “Even if I testify on my own behalf, my testimony is valid, for I know where I came from and where I am going. But you have no idea where I come from or where I am going. 15You judge by human standards; I pass judgment on no one. 16But if I do judge, my decisions are right, because I am not alone. I stand with the Father, who sent me. 17In your own Law it is written that the testimony of two men is valid. 18I am one who testifies for myself; my other witness is the Father, who sent me.”

In the beginning, there was God. And God made the Earth. And God made Adam and Eve.

And God gave them free will.

Before they knew sin, before they knew lies, before they knew pain, toil, or even blame, what they had was choice.

That was God's will.

I agree! However, we can remind one another based on what the bible says what things are "right" but we can not tell or force them what to do. Because of what we call free will. Though every action has a corresponding consequences and Adam and Eve's disobedience were cast out of Eden

The first verses refer to one who is not saved. Honestly, people seem to parade this verse out all of the time. But do you know what was really going on here? It doesn't apply to every situation.

In response to your bolded passage, Jesus is righteous, he doesn't pass judgement using human standards, but rather passes judgement using righteousness as a standard. Does that mean that human standards don't and shouldn't exist? Does it mean that we shouldn't abide by human standards? Does it mean that christians can't be judges or lawyers? It doesn't seem so; the primary role of a King or leader in those times was as judge. And there were many truly Godly kings and leaders.

Jesus passes judgement on nobody, yet even He is blameless. I pass jugement on no one. But if I WAS TO judge, my decisions would be right, because I am not alone.

But let me ask you, is there one of us who 'stands with the Father' as Jesus did? So then is there one of us who has the TRUE TESTIMONY of two? Do any of us have the witness of the Father? are any of us in FULL accordance with His will as Jesus was?

Can ANY OF US tell what is TRULY inside another's heart and mind as Jesus could?

Yet still with all His power He chose not to judge. That is the true God of mercy.

His message is not 'do not judge unless', his message is clearly 'If you have sin, do not judge others at all'.

John tells us this too. And that any man who says he is without sin decieves himself and the truth is not in him.

This is why John bapstized people daily.

The only true Godly King is Jesus, for He had the real wisdom of a King.

There are several passages about judgement.

One being 'Who are you to judge another's servant? Or who are you to treat him with contempt? For we WILL ALL stand before God's judgement seat'.

God did not give the task of judging Cain to Adam, or to Eve, He Himself judged. Yet now He has has handed over judgement to His son, who died for our sins to save us all.

Followers of JEsus should not be human judges at all. We should be LAST. We should 'give up our lives'. Become 'living sacrifices'.

To say she is not saved is to say her sin is not worthy of forgiveness and cleansing the same as everyone elses.

She commited a sin just as the people who walked away from her commit sin. Hers is no worse than theirs.

That was the real message.

she was just as saved as them.

For if Jesus forgave her, and she called him 'Lord', then SURELY she was saved by Him who forgave her.

The poeple wanted to stone her .. was this in accordance with Jesus' will and therefore God's will (as they share the same Will)?

So then how can the people in the crowd be worth more than she is to Jesus when He forgave her and rebuked them?

They wished to test Him to have Him killed!!

In the same way, How can she be less than them when she called Him Lord yet they did not? When He himself saw her worthy of forgiveness as He would see all people.

'For I have not come to condemn the world, but to save it'.

So in light of all this, the teaching stands for all men 'let the one of you who is without sin throw the first stone'.

100% agree. Really think about it.

Let's be Honest. Marriages NOW days aren't lasting long.
If we REALLY DID take away Porn and strip clubs, there would probably be less "sex addictions", and of course no Porn addictions. Men (and also women..) would be MUCH more faithful then they are now.
The man I want to marry eventually watches porn on the occassion. Of course I don't like it, but ever since I've got on to him about, he did lower down the amount he watches..Also (this may happen towards someone who's lucky..) When we "dated" a while ago back, he told me that he Watched it before he dated me, but he did mainly Stop while we were dating. Mainly, he watches it when he's single.

Let's also admit, we're NOT Saints. I do actually hate the fact porn exists. I even tell myself that I'd actually like to watch it - but Realistically, I don't mean it. In other words, If I wasn't single, then automatically, I no longer have a real desire to watch it. I'm basically saying that I'm lonely at times and want my desire to be filled, not neccessarly by porn itself.

I'm a Democrat..Glad Obama won, but truth be told I wouldn't mind voting for This republican for this reason.

Freedom is the only true way someone can come to God. Adam and Eve were sheltered from it all in the garden, but they had to end up being in sin to eventually be able to abstain from it out of free will and not out of ignorance. But even then, they were separated from God and did not know it's consequence and WHY it is sin.

a la 'forgive them, they realise not what they do'.

end times; we shall be known as we are fully known. no more faded reflection. Complete realisation and rebirth.

Not gonna lie, I haven't read much of this thread because it's 11 pages.

My personal belief is that people should have the right to make and distribute pornography as they wish. This is because, regardless of whether I agree with it or not, it does me no harm and is therefore not my place to put my beliefs on someone else. If it was legal to force people to watch porn then yeah, that should probably change. But as it is, people can do whatever they want with their bodies and their time. Nobody's forcing you to watch porn so if you don't like it, don't watch it.

As far as child abuse and misogynistic views go, I don't think making something illegal will change this. It's illegal to rape people but rape happens. It's illegal to do drugs and people still do them. With porn being legal, the industry can be controlled by the government rather than illegal groups that probably wouldn't require regular STD testing, as the government currently does. Because, no matter what, people are going to be making and distributing porn. Making it illegal won't stop that.

On the first page someone mentioned that children are going to have access to it on the internet. Yes, this is true. With the internet becoming so widely accessible it's easier for kids to get their hands on pornographic images, or violent ones. Whatever it might be. This isn't the fault of the porn industry. It's up to parents to censure what their kids see on the internet and to teach them why this may or may not be a good thing to see.

most porn can be stopped by filters so kids are protected from it, young kids dont need to be on the net anyway without supervision. The only thing I wish would be required of porn, would be something to tell the filtering software that yes it is porn, and make the filters more effective, this wont affect adults making their own decisions, but will simply protect those too young to make the decisions. Banning does nothing to stop it, we have free will, and have to make the decision to not watch it, because it's not right, not because we are forced to.

I did not skip anything, read on in my posts.

'If i am to judge, i would be righteous in doing so'.

Yet he didnt.

It makes no difference what spin is put on it. Jesus WOULD be righteous in judging, because He is in accordance with Gods will and does not sin. We do sin.

Yet Jesus saved and forgave the woman that people in this thread are calling 'unsaved', the kind of person that it's apparently okay to judge . . Hmm.

We can do as we like. I have eyes, ears and mouth and hands and I could judge, condemn and kill all i wanted until i was caught. But not all is beneficial.

so what is with you and removing freedom of choice from everyone in the world and forcing them to adhere to your opinion of the how the world should be?
