Taiwan has had the best response to the pandemic. They have major business interests in China with a tremendous amount of travel back and forth and yet they never had a Covid outbreak (at least for the first 12 months, they did have one small spike for a few weeks which they quickly remedied), they never shut down their economy. It may be the only place on the planet that life continued along almost as if nothing happened.
What they do is have a 2 week quarantine for anyone coming into the country. But everyone else can go about their business as if nothing is going on. The only exception is they take your temperature before you can enter work or a business. If you have a temperature you can't enter.
Also they have a tracking system if you came into close proximity of someone who later is shown to be contagious.
