The recent landslide victory (75 percent) of the new District Attorney for the city of Philadelphia in America March 20, 2018, is nothing short of miraculous! Another amazing event was that he was sworn in by his wife, a new state judge. This is in keeping with other dramatic events related to Philadelphia, which is mentioned in the Book of Revelation. His miraculous victory gives hope to those who lives have wrongly been devastated, or ended, due to minor offenses, and the often permanent PTSD damage caused by "Institutional Trauma Syndrome." (a personal term I use to describe the severe psychological trauma that can result in permanent psychological damage), or even death, as in the case of Sandra Bland of Texas, and Kellsie Greene in Anchorage, Alaska. This is due in part to people accustomed to modern 21st Century, especially first offenders or low-offenders, or vulnerable people, being subjected without any transition, to archaic, and obsolete incarcerational facilities, based on principles dating back to the 16th Century and the legalistic mind-set of "eternal punishment" for the sins of society, and pre-Reformation views.

Jesus was well aware of the inherent injustices of legalistic punishment, and the possibility of putting innocent people to death by Capital Punishment, something ultra-conservatives seem to be obsessed with.
This is why He made a point of beginning His ministry by saying (quoting the Prophet Isaiah):

"The Lord's Spirit has come to me, because he has chosen me to tell the good news to the poor. The Lord has sent me to announce freedom for prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free, to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor." (Luke 4:18; NIV; biblehub.com)

Acccording to the story in the "New Yorker," (newyorker.com; magazine, 2018), Krasner's father was a free-lance writer and his mother was an evangelical preacher before having children.
And also according to this news story, :
"Krasner’s first initiative was to eliminate cash bail for most nonviolent crimes. “We don’t imprison the poor in the United States for the so-called crime of poverty,” he said. In March, he sent a memo to his staff outlining his policies, which he described as “an effort to end mass incarceration and bring balance back to sentencing.” Few of the ideas were truly new—many progressive prosecutors have stopped prosecuting people for possessing small amounts of marijuana, for instance, or have increased the number of people diverted from prison into drug-rehab programs—"
It was also in Philadelphia where the Philadelphia Eagles football team won the superbowl, just as the massive asteroid passed by the earth, on February 4th of this year, 2018.
"your young men shall run and not faint..." (Isaiah 40)
and,
"they shall rise on wings of eagles..."

Wherever you are today, celibrate this amazing victory of freedom in America, and the end of the "mass-incarceration" era, and the spiritual victory of "Freedom In Christ," for all who endure to the end, heralded by Jesus Himself in Nazareth, and again in Revelation.

Larry Krasner is a Soros-funded democrat . . . what could possible go wrong? How about an $8,000.00 dollar bond for a black kid accused of murder? I can see all kinds of problems with that.

You don't see all kinds of problems with the system we have now? Young people, women, disabled, vulnerable people, have their lives destroyed or worse, for a system of "anti-justice" that discriminates against minorities and the poor, who can not afford bail, that costs $42,000 a day for one person, that does not deter crime, and makes people more dangerous?
Do the math--
Justice reform is here to stay; It can not be stopped because it is divinely ordained and has bi-partisan support.
It's not about specific cases, but the broader reforms.

What exactly is legalistic punishment?
crucifixion.
a college grad-student dying alone in a cement tomb for a turn-signal violation on her way to her first day of work. (Texas)
a teen-ager subjected to permanent, terminal psychological harm for allegedly stealing a back-pack. (New York)
a drug-addict dying in a cell denied emergency medical treatment, whose only crime was physical dependency. (Alaska)
a native man dying in a cell begging for medical help. (Alaska)
ask the Taliban--

What you have written here is hardly the full facts of the case, it reads more like high pitched rhetoric

One to make a case for "anti-justice" then stick to the facts, movement towards justice does not come from half-truths and sound bites.

I want to see the links to all these supposed atrocities.

I'm sure he just neglected to mention that the sweet young college grad student probably physically attacked the police officer and resisted arrest. Of course, we know that the cops are all wrong. They were probably old white guys and the princess was likely a black girl. If she were white, no one would barely notice this--except maybe her immediate family. Not enough to burn down a city over.

Show me proof that it costs $42K a day to house one inmate.
I miss-quoted that-- it's from the NYT Kashner story, and it is quoted as "$42,000 per year," not per day. I quoted it from memory, and my memory does have minor issues when I'm under duress--
that's not too bad for 45 years of duress...

I'm working on your requests-- George Saros looks like he is supporting human rights, women's rights, rights of the disabled, minority rights... from his website--

https://www.georgesoros.com

which btw, is one of the most perfect, professional websites I've seen-- simple, to the point, short, -- money can't buy that kind of inspiration; it's a sign of the integrity of his voice--and the mission of the "Open Society Foundation" that is supporting democracy and human rights in over 100 countries according to their website. I like the way he talks, clear, and to the point, with power and authority, and he is from the same area, Hungary, as relatives on my father's side of the family (adoptive).
Looks good to me--
and the amazing 75% landslide victory of Larry Kashner is also a sign of divine inspiration.

And you know I don't support the Taliban, as they are an example of "legalistic punishment," that Jesus came to overcome, and replace with the Law of Grace. as far as Sandra Bland, yes, she does look like a black princess, and the cop who arrested her was a white guy who lost his temper when she did resist arrest. But, it was a passive resistance, and how could such a frail, petite young lady possibly hurt a fully armed and protected officer? Her resistance of arrest appears to also be related to her possible disability and possibly being under the influence of a controlled substance. This is still not a reason to give her the death-penalty.
Sorry, I love Sandra Bland-- she is one of my heroes. Her smiling picture-icon is one of those on my computer desktop. I weep every time I remember her unnecessary death.

And, it's not about police officers, except those who have used excessive force. I obey the law, and respect the law as this is a commandment of Christ and the Apostle Peter and the Bible. I have never been treated wrongly by a police officer in my life. In fact, I spoke with one the other day about an abusive and dangerous family situation, another failure of the system to protect the vulnerable. Police officers want the justice system to change too, since it would make their jobs safer and easier.
The officer who arrested Sandra is likely devastated by what later happened, and by his own loss of temper.

I've done the math--
The math works;
Justice reform is an act of God.
Christ Himself elected Larry Kashner as AG of Philadelphia.
I'll be back with more stats...

Jesus was well aware of the inherent injustices of legalistic punishment,
and the possibility of putting innocent people to death by Capital Punishment,
something ultra-conservatives seem to be obsessed with.
Did Jesus say we can break the laws of the land scott free ?
Do you know Jesus even favored the death penalty ?

The Old Testament of the Bible speaks with perfect plainness on the issue of capital
punishment:“He that smiteth a man, so that he die, shall be surely put to death”
(Exodus 21:12).

In the New Testament book of Romans, God REAFFIRMS that authority: Romans 13:1-4

Many people reject God’s clear commandments involving implementation of the death penalty.
And though the death penalty was reinstated by the U.S. Supreme Court in 1976, Americans
have demenstrated a fear to sternly correct evildoers, and are vacillating in their determination
to use the God-given option of executing people for horrible wrongs.

Punishment, when meted out in the proper manner, and at the proper time, is one of the
greatest blessings a human being—at any age—can receive. The reason is that if we do
not receive correction, we will proceed on a course to our own destruction (Proverbs 14:12).

As the late FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover once stated about our modern permissive society,
we have “substituted INDULGENCE for discipline.” The result is that our prisons are full
to overflowing and our society is inundated in violent crime.

Discipline Promptly Proverbs 19:18, Proverbs 13:24 admonishes us, “He who spares his rod
hates his son, but he who loves him DISCIPLINES HIM PROMPTLY”. For the good of society
and the individual, swift, stern justice must be meted out when wrongs are brought to light.

Ecclesiastes 8:11 tells us the importance of swift punishment when it says, “Because sentence
against an evil work is not EXECUTED SPEEDILY, therefore the heart of the sons of men is
fully set in them to DO EVIL.”

Ezra 7:26 guides us toward speedy response to crime by stating, “And whosoever will not do the
law of thy God, and the law of the king, let judgment be executed speedily upon him, whether it
be unto death, or to banishment, or to confiscation of goods, or to imprisonment.”

The book of Proverbs states, “When the scorner is punished, the simple is made wise,”
and “Smite a scorner, and the simple will beware” (Proverbs 21:11; 19:25). People can
learn vicariously from the experiences of others!

The deterrent effect of the death penalty is muted because of current practices. But even
basic understanding of human nature tells us that, if administered properly, the death penalty
would have a significant deterrent effect!

The criminal mind does not respect authority.
Those who are trying to do away with the law of the land are in error.

This is in keeping with other dramatic events related to Philadelphia,
which is mentioned in the Book of Revelation.
Sorry not sure how you come-up with the city of Philadelphia in the U.S.,
that has anything to do with a church in Asia.

Or how the Philadelphia Eagles football team won
because of Isaiah 40, and an asteroid at that time.

This is not biblical at all and just fantasy.
