Sadly you fail to realize that this isn’t about a candidate. It’s about the system. The important thing is that there’s a way of changing the dysfunctional political monopoly of Elephants and Donkeys.

There might not be a decent third party candidate for years to come, but we have to start somewhere.
I agree but I doubt if any good guys are going to come before Jesus returns. We are near the apex.

Ha! Coming from the guy who is always complaining about the “rich”, yet has a six figure income, that’s beyond laughable!
You mean the guy who's terrified that so many live on less? The guy who participates in responsible consumerism, because he understands that consumers, and not rich people, create jobs? You mean the guy who gave $10 k away to charity last Christmas? You mean the guy who doesn't want a fat earthly bank account because it means a skinny heavenly one?

You mean the guy who understands that lining the pockets of the rich will NOT stop the coming apocalypse?

Riches cloud judgment. As per wit.

Still haven’t seen you tell us who this mythical 3rd party candidate is and what their platform is.

How is that ridicule?
Because you don't - and won't - take the time to read and comprehend.

Every six months I take everyone off ignore, just to see if they're still around and still ridiculously mistaken. Sadly they most always are, and the list rebuilds quickly. Looks like Richie Rich gets to be the first on the new list.

You’re a good hearted person, so I can understand why you choose to put some of the posters on ignore.

I’m not that good a person, opposite from you and many others on here, so for me those vile posters are just a different kind of jerks than me😁.

I think most are sincere however some are sincerely deceived or sincerely mistaken. I've been blessed enough to study in places were party politics and denominationalism was totally unacceptable. When we studied the Bible, we studied the Bible. Not religion or polotics. Debates over the Rapture were confusing enough. Telling others who to vote for was grounds for getting 86'd lickity split.

I put them on ignore because I'm too weak to not respond if I see their, uhm, missives ;)

I just wish the ignore function went both ways - if I put someone on ignore, not only should I not see their posts, they shouldn't be able to see mine either.

And you are a good person, most of us are here. We've just been too well trained over the years to look for conflict.

Who the heck was talking about that? I was talking about protecting the environment. I'm not a member of any party in fact I'm adopted and I think abortion for birth control should be a felony. Just because I'm strongly against some things 1 side is in favor of dosn't put me on the other side! This is a free country and I don't have to vote along any party line. That's why I joined the military to defend the bill of rights. Abortion is one of them.

When I was a kid the smog was so thick we couldn't see (20 miles) half way across Los Angeles from the hill where we lived. My father died of asbestos lung disease. Latinos and Blacks couldn't buy a house in our neighborhood. It took government regulations to get the lead out of the , asbestos out of work places and to mandate fair housing not based on racial zoning laws. Bernie's a pipe dreamer Hillary manipulated the DNC and they're both pro abortion.

Don't get it twisted. Because I want clean air and water and laws to protect us from the money grubbing sharks that couldn't care less about humanity or the planet. It dosn't make me a Marxist. In the Bible it says "come let us reason together" I choose the center lane!

There is no center lane. There are socialist progressives and conservatives. One or the other will win in 2020. My point is, what's the use of clean air if you live in socialist/communist country. Priorities.

I don't tell people who to vote for, but I do put the issues before them so they know just what they are voting for. And that saying home gives the vote to the other candidate. The Bible talks about the issues we see today and I think politics is very much a part of that. I don't know how you can discuss/study the Bible without current events.

I will definitely be voting for Trump....again. Personally I do not like the man, I find him arrogant and a bully. He says things he shouldn't. He may be corrupt but aren't they all? But as a Christian, I am a conservative, I believe, and vote according to God's word. Trump has some good Christian advisors, and encourages Devotions and Prayer every morning with His team. I am against many of the things the dems are pushing.....abortion, gay marriage, removing religious and historic items from the public, removal of guns, socialism, requiring schools teach our children some of these things, etc. I approve immigration if they do it legally, and arrive planning to support and adapt to our country instead of insisting on changes. I am against supporting illegal immigrants with free housing, food, schooling, medical, and many other privileges. The dems were so shocked by Trumps win in 2016, they have become toxic with their anger and hatred of Trump, the Republicans, and his supporters. They are actually scaring me. I don't hate people, I would never mistreat anyone. My heart breaks for the suffering in other countries, but we have to stop this flow of millions coming in illegally. We need to build that wall to stop human trafficking and drug smuggling. We need to take care of the millions of Americans who are homeless, hungry, and going without medical. I do not understand how anyone who claims to be a Christian could possibly vote democratic, it just doesn't fit. Join me in prayers for our country, our people, our leaders, MAGA, God Bless America!

Polarization will destroy us from within. I'd rather die for equal human rights freedom of religion and private property than live for Marxism or Fascism. which are the far right and left.

I have repeatedly said that I vote on issues not party lines or personalities. Mennonites believe in praying for leaders but realize they can't be trusted. We only bow to Christ taking any other side is wrong. Every nation in history has eventually fallen due to influence power and greed. That's where I stand and will stand until they pry the Bible out of my bloody hand.

The Bible continuously tells stories that seem repetitive but the names places and dates are different. What makes any one think history won't repeat itself again? Are we so blessed that he will rescind prophecy or unwrite our future? The Bible shows that mankind consistently makes the same mistakes and rather than submit to or obey God we tend to idolize ungodly things. We tend more to worship the created like space and what we can see through a telescope or microscope. Precious commodities like Gold or silver and it's replacements like paper money, credit, debt and oil. We tend to trust leaders more then God.

The Hebrews wanted a warrior King like David and Murdered the prince of peace. They chose Barabbas over Jesus. That's how their inheritance got passed to the Gentiles. How many Bible stories tell of a second or third born son receiving the first borns' inheritance? King David in fact was adopted by Saul as Jesus was adopted by Joseph.

People often macro focus on verses and miss the big picture The Egyptians, The Canaanites including the fortress called Jericho which showed that there is no fortress that God can't knock down. The Babylonians, The Persian~ Amino, Greek And Roman Empires all were examples for today. Not just old stories but nations and civilizations that believed that wealth and might makes right... And FELL by the sword, famine pestilence & plague. It's going to happen again. No nation that follows the will of men has ever lasted for long. And we won't either. There are two ways to choose from. Gods way or the offramps to perdition.

BTW the "N" in Nazi stands for Nationalist! Closing borders and harbors will not prevent the implosion that's comming.

I'm sorry, but what does your earthly bank account have to do with heaven? I missed something there.
Matthew 6:
19 “Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust[a] destroy and where thieves break in and steal, 20 but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. 21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

22 “The eye is the lamp of the body. So, if your eye is healthy, your whole body will be full of light, 23 but if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light in you is darkness, how great is the darkness!

24 “No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money.[b]

Honestly I feel like the religious right has made Trump their golden calf
I've never seen a politician with them or fanatical fan base
Remember when Trump said he could murder someone in the middle of Times Square and wouldn't lose a single voter?
I don't think he was exaggerating

CFPB taps student loan executive

Robert Cameron, pick for top watchdog role, comes from a firm that was cited for poor industry practices.

The Trump administration has appointed a longtime student loan industry executive to be the federal government’s top watchdog for the $1.5-trillion student loan market.

Robert Cameron will serve as the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau’s new student loan ombudsman, the bureau said Friday. The job was designed to protect student loan borrowers from poor practices in the student loan industry. It’s one of the few jobs explicitly named in the Dodd-Frank Act, the law passed after the 2008 financial crisis that created the CFPB. It’s considered the go-to office for borrowers who have complaints about their loans.

Cameron most recently worked at the Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency, better known as Fed Loan Servicing, as its head of compliance and risk mitigation. That agency has been cited for poor industry practices, most notably for how it has handled the troubled Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program, designed to allow student loan borrowers who work in public service jobs to get part of their loan balances forgiven.

A report by the Department of Education’s Inspector General’s Office released this year found that Fed Loan employees received a “fail” grade on interactions with borrowers 11% of the time, far more than the industry average of 4%.

The CFPB’s student loan ombudsman position has been vacant for nearly a year. Seth Frotman, an Obama administration appointee, quit in protest of the Trump administration’s handling of the issue of student loans. Frotman said at the time that the White House was hostile to protecting borrowers and had used the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau to serve powerful companies’ interests.

Frotman now runs the Student Borrower Protection Center, trying to do from outside the federal government what he had been doing at the bureau.

“It is outrageous that an executive from the student loan company that has cheated students and taxpayers, and is at the center of every major industry scandal over the past decade, is now in charge of protecting borrowers’ rights,” Frotman said Friday in a statement.

Mounting levels of student debt remain a hot political topic, with some 2020 Democratic presidential candidates calling for a national student loan forgiveness program. One in 10 student loan borrowers has fallen behind on repaying loans.

Maybe you didn't read the Wall St Journal report that one week before the Obama admin left office (of which Frotman was a part) they submitted a report saying they had "overstated" student loan repayment numbers. When the new numbers were updated, the DoE had inflated the repayment numbers by 99.8%. If you're wrong by 99% , that pretty much isn't an error. It's a cover up. Nobody paid any attention to it because of Trumps inauguration.

Of about 1000 colleges studied - about half of the students failed to pay even one dollar on their loan within 7 years. You and I will pick up the tab on this fine administration's work which constitutes about a tenth of US debt.

To be honest, I'd just as soon have Bernie Madoff in there besides Frotman and Obama's pure incompetence.
