I don't think that God is going to intervene on the behalf of either Clinton or Trump. The US deserves both of them.

I not only think but KNOW God is faithful to intervene on behalf of his children. I praise the Lord for his merciful kindness! Even if you say we don't deserve it, I bless the Lord for telling us not to be afraid and that he has heard our prayers and will take care of us who put our trust him.

I believe with all my heart, that if every Christian in America does what this verse says, God will do what he says. I wonder how many people join me in putting the words to action.

Again I mention the conversation between the Lord and Abraham ..when the Lord made clear for just 10 righteous, he would have saved Sodom. There are millions of righteous believers in America ..always have been and I hope always will be. God has always worked on our behalf, not based on some OT principal of repentance and prayer. But on the NT principals of all the promises of God in Christ are yes and Amen.

i just wanted to point out that i find the thread title itself kind of telling...

it is basically an unspoken admission by the republicans that their candidate cannot stop hillary...and now that obama's FBI and justice department have failed in utterly predictable fashion to stop hillary via the power of indictment...they are running to God to bail them out of their mess...

while normally being broken before God in prayer is an admirable christian trait...in this case it just looks more like crashing the car on a drunken joyride and expecting dad to pay for it...

i would guess that the clinton campaign must be pretty confident now that even trumpists are saying that nothing short of divine intervention can keep her out of the white house...

sadly all of this desperation could have been averted...there were many republican candidates who wouldn't have had to beg for a lighting bolt from heaven in order to beat the most unpopular democratic presidential candidate in history...

i agree...but in my opinion it would probably take nothing less than a christian election boycott for God to take our 'repentance' seriously at this point...

Or we could just all convert to Jehovah Witness's. Lol. Would that work?

I have made absolutely clear that it appears to me that God has brought Trump this far ..its a miracle he won the nomination with all that was against him. I believe God is going to put Trump into power or at least stop Hillary in her evil... Not sure how its all going to work out? But Hillary will not be president ...mark my word this day

The Bible requires its believers to pray for the good of the leadership. Clearly on this forum people do not adhere to this teaching. If they prayed more then they would likely have less to complain about.

No it don't ..we are not called to pray for the good of evil government or the anti--Christ . Pray that God would destroy them and replace them like he did Hitler.

Trump will appoint special prosecutor to probe Clinton Foundation if elected

By Bob Fredericks

August 22, 2016 | 10:20pm

Donald Trump on Monday pledged that as president, he would appoint a special prosecutor to probe the financial dealings of the Clinton Foundation.
Trump said at a rally in Akron, Ohio, that the Department of Justice had “acted unethically” in probing Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email server.
He also said the Justice Department and the FBI “can’t be trusted” to investigate the foundation after declining to prosecute Clinton over the email scandal.
The GOP nominee also criticized Attorney General Loretta Lynch for meeting privately with former President Bill Clinton as the department’s probe was under way.
“I’ve become increasingly shocked by the vast scope of Hillary Clinton’s criminality,” Trump told the crowd.
He claimed that Hilary Clinton had overseen corrupt pay-for-play practices while heading the State Department.

[h=1]Another email dump, more proof of Clinton Inc. sleaze[/h]By Post Editorial Board

Top aide Huma Abedin speaks with then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton in 2011.Photo: Reuters

So much for Hillary Clinton’s claim to have handed in all of her work emails: Turns out the FBI found another 14,900 — meaning she “missed” at least a third of what the law required her to fork over.
It’ll be weeks before the public learns anything about what’s in that dump — but Monday brought plenty of dirt from yet another stash of emails, ones that top Hillary aide Huma Abedin sent or received on her clintonemail and other non-State accounts.
Brought to light by the good folks at Judicial Watch, these show new cases of special attention for big Clinton Foundation donors.
In 2009, for example, the crown prince of Bahrain wanted a sitdown with the secretary of state — but couldn’t get it through “normal channels,” as Abedin wrote.
So he asked the foundation’s then-chief, Doug Band, for help. Presto! A quick reminder to Huma that the prince was a “good friend of ours” (he’d donated millions) and the prince got his meeting within 48 hours.
SlimFast king Danny Abraham, who also gave millions, similarly got a meeting with the secretary via the Band-Abedin channel. Indeed, judging by Clinton’s own emails in the thread, she even delayed her plane’s takeoff to make the sitdown possible.
Other donors got action via direct appeal to Abedin: For example, 75-grand-giver Maureen White wrote, “I am going to be in DC on Thursday. Would she have any time to spare?” Huma’s reply: “Yes I’ll make it work.”
Doug Band went on to found the “consulting” firm Teneo Inc. — the (explicitly) for-profit arm of Clinton Inc. And Abedin, in an unprecedented setup OK’d by Secretary Clinton, then got to draw simultaneous paychecks from State, Teneo and the foundation.
All par for the course for a crew that can’t tell the difference between the people’s business and their own.
Or between right and wrong.

We have the most corrupt group of people to ever have political power in our nation's history. .and folks are worried about Trump hurting some jerks feelings or that he might have changed his position on some issue. It's amazing how the god of this world is now working in the minds of people to try and bring his servant hillary clinton into power.

The truest, most profound, yet simple, post of the week on this forum.

I strongly disagree with God being the reason why the Republicans have an extremely unfavorable candidate that is being eviscerated in the polls by one of the worst presidential candidates in history, Hillary Clinton. I know you don't buy the polls, but as you know, Trump has been a huge advocate of them... when they show he is winning that is.

Instead, I think the liberal media was strategic and cunning in their scheme in helping to nominate the worst Republican candidate to face their champion, Hillary Clinton. Do you remember when the primaries were in place and even CNN was cheering on Trump, destroying the likes of Cruz (Trump's closest competitor)? The media had nothing but positive things to say about him. Once Trump won the nomination, the gloves came off and the liberal media is landing counter-combination death blows on Trump. I know Trump supporters strongly dislike the media, but you do owe them an assist and thumbs up for getting your man in the position he is in, even if Hillary is cleaning Trump's clock.

If the election were today, and I had bet money on the outcome, I would bet on Hillary.
But I have learned that in politics 2 and a half months can be eternity.
Trump is not so far behind he still can't win. McCain was leading Obama by a comfortable margin up until mid September. The economy crashed, and the voters blamed the Republicans, and in came Mr O.
Mitt Romney ran a bad campaign, or he maybe, probably would have beaten O.
You don't really have a firm grasp until about a week before the election in many cases.
