I began the design for this Philippians 4:4 + Psalm 28:7a panel January 5th, 2021
I absolutely love the color palette, the butterflies, and the way the shading really presents
a 3-D image -- for instance, the texture on the dress is fabulous! It's a feast for the eyes.
The bright colors and patterns would definitely help me remember
the Scripture set against them a little better, as I am very visual and,
in order to memorize something, I have to be able to picture it in my mind.
I could see using that panel as a "Scriptural Flash Card" -- a wallpaper panel
against which one could up different verses they wanted to meditate upon, etc.

The dress and arms are actually from a doll Which is why there is very little definition in the hands, and I did consider swapping out the arms for that reason, but finding some in that position (holding the dress just so) could have proved quite challenging, and I decided I could live with them the way they were LOL. I do have human female figures modeling dresses, but I had already used quite a few of them, and I do not like to repeat myself (um, aside from such things as butterflies and flowers, that is
), though I came across a motherlode of them since then, and probably saved well over a hundred of them Most of the ones I had before had no heads, which is actually perfect, because I always construct my figures from multiple pieces, the face/head being just one of many... sometimes I will use a doll's face, and I will change the hair, adding either a wig or layered wigs as with the panel we are discussing, or hair from a different doll, and often add different eyes and mouth. I also more often than not change the color/hue of the dress, and make modifications to it as well depending on what it looks like Someone recently told me my figures were too distracting. And of course there is the usual complaint that there are no female angels, but I do not see that as a problem because this is, after all, art, and besides which, we do not know for a fact that there has never been a female angel. I tend to think of angels as being more androgynous, though of course the few that we are told of in Scriptures which manifested as human were always male, but even that does not tell us that an angel has never manifested as female. However, this is all beside the point. I do go to great lengths to make these figures beautiful, so when someone says to me that they are too distracting because they are too attractive, and even immodest, I kind of have to think that the problem is with that man's heart, because I also make sure they are properly attired, and make adjustments and additions to cover any areas that show too much, such as adding jewelry/a necklace to cover the bosom, for instance, or blending any cleavage to reduce/eliminate that distraction
On the other hand, I am not going to apologize for the female form I am just making the point that I am mindful of these things, and I do appreciate that you appreciate my efforts also -

Proverbs 18:10
I began the design for this Proverbs 18:10 panel February 12, 2020, but lost track
of its existence (due to naming it incorrectly) until recently, when I added the
Scripture verse plus citation, as well as adding some finishing touches. The verse
was inspired by an exchange between @Billyd and @Gardenias

I began the design for this Ephesians 1:3 panel on April 25, 2021,
and in honor of @presidente tried to make the figure look
Indonesian, because I understand his wife is of that ethnicity
It was originally very pink, but I made some filter error which I could
not fix because I do not know how I caused it... and so had to restart
the design, trying to recreate it as best I could from memory
The pinker one is closer to how it first looked
I began the design for this Numbers 6:24-26 panel on June 16, 2021,
inspired by a statement or question by @oyster67
Hmmm, a two month break from last panel? I had the stuffing knocked out of me
through surgery in mid May, which landed me in the hospital for
fifteen days, followed by a couple of weeks of home convalescence

Good morning, Seeker! Thank you for your feedback and well wishes
I like the Victorian era look also, and enjoy well done period pieces. One need not have an artistic bent to have a color preference, though it is possible you possess more creative ability than you are aware. The funny thing about having to remake the panel is, I was trying to make it a very pale pink as the original one had been, but the first remake came out very blue! So I went through the elements one by one, removing some, adding others, and altering the hue, color, saturation, and opacity of some others. The end result was, despite the two remakes being very similar, there are obvious differences, and I could not decide which one I liked better, which is why I posted both LOL. Another difference between the two panels is in the pinker one, I slightly altered the midsection of the woman to widen her a little... and moved her head slightly more to our left
My life has changed in many ways and quite drastically in some aspects, since at the time covid originally struck and started shutting things down here, I had just received my diagnosis, turned 65, was indefinitely laid off work after 38 years at the same place, started my medical treatments, and had my first surgery in August of last year, after which it was three months before I had the energy to return to designing, or even participating here at the level I had been previously. Both surgeries knocked the stuffing out of me. I was hospitalized longer following the second one, and needed more follow-up care (which I am actually still receiving), but the recovery time after the second surgery seemed to be much faster, which is evidenced by how quickly I returned to designing
More recently I have been on a bit of a break from designing due to the condition of the laptop on which I run Photoshop, for a fan has been going on the device all year, and got to a point where the grinding and whirring noise was too much in terms of annoyance and stress inducement. Thankfully I have a back-up device which I had originally replaced three and a half years ago due to its unreliability in connecting to the internet, and yet since then, there have been no problems in that regard! So at least I can still be online; but it is so odd how things work out sometimes, isn't it? Looking back on my designs from last year, the ones immediately prior to my first surgery are some of my best/favorite...
