Fair enough, mate! No way on God's green earth am I paying $11.50 for a large (Australian sizing, not American) bag of popcorn. It's too much!
Just what are you trying to say about American sizing, eh? :p

No, no. I was just saying that our sizes for food and drink are different. Our large Coke would be your medium, possibly small. :)

Up here, buying beverages in different sizes can even differ from one locality to another in businesses belonging to the same chain.

We've got something we call the Big Gulp! I mean, we brag about the size of stuff here in U.S. but this just exceeds all expectations...

We have a mayor in New York that got all offended about really big soft drinks so he banned them from his city! As far as I'm concerned he can keep his hands off my bladder, but here's a graph showing the growth of soft drinks...

So really - how much can we drink anyway? Are we really going to die of thirst before we reach the next convenience store? I don't wanna take anybody's Big Gulp away from them, but isn't there some kind of line in the sand that separates common sense to daft?

awww - just kiddin! Have another drink..

I find this phenomenon alarming as well. If I have to get fast food, I almost always get a child's meal. It's cheaper, has the proper amount of food in it for me, and the drink isn't 64oz. I'm always scared when I order a drink somewhere, never knowing how enormous it's going to be. A "medium" isn't what it used to be anymore. O_O I feel like it's wasted if I don't drink it all, so I want to drink it all, but that's 744 calories.

That's right people. 64 oz of soda is over 1/3 of the normal daily calorie intake all by itself. What is wrong with us??

if you could only have one kind of cookie for the rest of your life, what would it be?

what is something in your life that you deserve an "A" for effort, but a "D" or "F" in results?

what are you most looking forward to in the coming summer months?

what kind of spender are you (i.e. cheapskate, spend-everything-you-have, thrifty...)?

if we held an "talent" show on cc, what would yours be?

Nutter Butters. Hands down!

what is something in your life that you deserve an "A" for effort, but a "D" or "F" in results?

This is hard,hmmm... Maybe I deserve an "A" for effort in trying to get out of the rut I'm in (financially),but get a "D" or "F" in actually making any headway.

what are you most looking forward to in the coming summer months?

I don't currently have anything to really look forward to at the moment. Maybe, trying to not sweat to death? I dunno. Nutter Butters??
:p

what kind of spender are you (i.e. cheapskate, spend-everything-you-have, thrifty...)?

When I have money I am pretty responsible with it for the most part, but I am also pretty generous,and/or will sometimes splurge & spend money on things I shouldn't. Such as music,or gifts for friends.

if we held an "talent" show on cc, what would yours be?

Building awesome Blanket Forts & consuming mass quantities of Nutter Butters. (at the same time)

*Awwwww yeahhhh thing's just got real all up in here,yo'!*

1. Homemade chocolate chip cookies (with plenty of chocolate chips)

2. Learning the Japanese language in early high school. I received an E but I worked my butt off to do well. My teacher even said that I had a great attitude in class. That said, I found the experience hellish because it was so difficult and I couldn't grasp the language. By contrast, the following year, I did a class on Japanese culture instead. I received an A+!

3. Well, we're going into Winter here. I don't really care for Summer. It's so hot here and I burn easily. Not good.

4. I'm a bit of both. I save up, but I semi-regularly like to buy books and sometimes buy DVDs.

5. Drawing imaginative creatures.

Double Chocolate Chip

what is something in your life that you deserve an "A" for effort, but a "D" or "F" in results?
Evangelizing, (LOL) But seriously, I wish I was much more successful at it.

what are you most looking forward to in the coming summer months?
The transition of leadership from the senior pastor to me and the youth pastor. I'm honestly unsure about the whole thing, but excited at the same time. I do have a conviction of not wanting to fail and wanting to work really hard for God and for the people. My will is willing to deny myself, take up His cross and follow Him but I know myself too well that I'm selfish in nature. So if anyone is reading this, and you're convicted to pray, please pray for me. Seriously. I need all of it as I can. Please pray that I enjoy being spent for Christ in anyway. Please pray that I am given the endurance to push through. I want to enjoy the endurance marathon for Christ as much as I enjoy the push of running 6 miles. Please pray that I become a good leader who actually cares and does something about the struggles of church members. Particularly, when a man has fallen out of rehab and the girlfriend has to struggle with this. It's a messy situation that I probably have to PM in detail to certain people that I think can give me insight. Yeah, I just need a lot of prayer.

what kind of spender are you (i.e. cheapskate, spend-everything-you-have, thrifty...)?
I'm a cheapskate. If I don't have to spend, I won't. However, I don't coupon either. I mean, if I need to buy something, I stick to that plan and I won't buy anything else. But I don't look around for better deals.

Flirting :p

I am not quite sure as I am still trying to figure out what is wrong with me. That 128 oz Big Gulp would last me a month. Of course, by then the ice would have melted.

Our Large "Coke" at Aussie Maccas or similar, is no larger than 650ml (that's around 22oz). Our Small "Coke" is 300ml (that's a bit over 10oz). 128oz then, must be huge!

4. what kind of spender are you (i.e. cheapskate, spend-everything-you-have, thrifty...)? If I want /need something and I have the extra money after my bills and tithes are paid then I'll get it no matter the price. I don't wait for the things I want to go on sale.
