1. what three things do you enjoy doing alone in your free time?
2. what's the most impressive and delicious meal that you can make yourself, from scratch?
3. name something you have an irrational fear of.
4. if you had to choose, which super hero would you date?
5. are you more likely to be running late or running early for a social event with a close friend? why?

1. Reading, watching movies/TV series, surfing the Net. I love to draw but I haven't done it in quite awhile. I really need to get back into it.

2. I'm good with main-courses, not so much with desserts. I make some very flavoursome and spicy curries and stir-frys from scratch. I can make other dishes but I always need some kind of well-written and structured recipe, even if I don't read it.

3. Taking big risks in life. Rejection.

4. Are there many female superheroes? I need some help here! Wonder Woman isn't my type, Black Window is interesting but cold, Super Girl is just silly.

5. It depends on whether I'm organised. Usually, running a little early but sometimes running late.

I hope to find five interesting questions every week for us to answer and discuss. Launching now.

1. What movie deserves a sequel?

2. What one toy would you like to throw repeatedly at a brick wall?

3. What is one thing you always wanted as a kid, but never got?

4. Where do you not mind waiting?

5. What is your most impressive car repair skill?
1. I would like the movie, "I am Legend" to have a sequel. I know it isn't your typical super hero movie, but I want to know what the survivors would do with the cure they found. The movie just left me hanging with the survivors escaping. I want to see a sequel that has humankind fighting back to retake humanity with the cure they found.

2. I'm not very unique here. I'm throwing your typical ball. Why? Because it's fun! Throwing a ball against a brick wall is classical entertainment for all ages and kids love it! I most likely will be the one throwing the ball at the kids on the wall though. And no, it isn't cuz I like hitting kids with a ball. Well, maybe just a little. But anyway, the kids at church don't like being "it". And they always want me to be it, so I end up throwing the ball at the brick wall.

3. I remember going to Thrifty's (before it became Rite Aid) back in the early 80's and saw this awesome display of Star War action figures. Everytime my mom would take me out for ice cream, I would go to this display all the time, staring at Luke Skywalker holding a light saber with all the battle spaceships. I wanted it. I wanted ALL OF IT. But it never ever happened. So I contented myself with the ice cream. The ice cream was good though.

4. I do not mind waiting on a woman. :p No, I'm kidding. And no pun intended because that can be read the wrong way. I don't mind waiting in Office Depot to be honest. Yeah, seriously, I like office pens and I like mechanical pencils. I like manilla folders, hanging folders and sheet protectors. I even like looking at the new stapling technology. I also like Fry's electronics too, but Office Depot, Office Max, or Staples would be a good place for me to wait at.

5. I have no impressive car repair skills hahahaha!! My repairs are only replacing battery terminals due to corrosion, replacing an interior door handle, and changing a tire. I also had to replace a fuse because my clock and radio wasn't working. And all my repair experience came from my dad, and youtube. Thank God for Dad, and thank God for youtube.

1. what three things do you enjoy doing alone in your free time?

Walking around the city, Exercising and Devotional

2. what's the most impressive and delicious meal that you can make yourself, from scratch?

I made chicken pad thai the other day, but generally I have the ability to create anything as long as there is a recipe and isn't a sweet baked in the oven :p

3. name something you have an irrational fear of.

I get social anxiety a lot and I guess you could say that sometimes whenever I go out for a run and I have my headphones in I get paranoid because I can't see what's behind me and my hearing sense is blocked out.

4. if you had to choose, which super hero would you date?
Haha, I don't do well with these things.
How about aquaman, I like to swim :D

5. are you more likely to be running late or running early for a social event with a close friend? why?

Reading, cooking, and gardening

Needles. Shots don't bother me, but the idea of a needle going into my vein (like to draw blood) really freaks me out, to the point where I had a hard time typing this out.

4. if you had to choose, which super hero would you date?
Spiderman. He's always been my favorite superhero.

5. are you more likely to be running late or running early for a social event with a close friend? why?
If I'm bring my kiddo I'll most likely be a little late, if I'm by myself I'll be a little early.

4)Probably She-Hulk(brains, heart, and brawn)
5)Early. I get overly nervous, so I always get places early.

1. what three things do you enjoy doing alone in your free time?
reading, practicing piano or horn, cooking, however, while cooking is fun to do alone, it's even more fun to cook with someone.

2. what's the most impressive and delicious meal that you can make yourself, from scratch?
I just made a pretty awesome dinner tonight: wonton soup, chicken/carrot stir fry and brown rice. Yummy. My kids love that one.

However, I would say that MY favorite dish that I make is either my clam chowder, or a chicken dish with artichoke hearts and mushrooms. I don't use a recipe so they are slightly different each batch. I like to go into the kitchen and play mad scientist.

3. name something you have an irrational fear of.
Needles.

I don't like heights. I would never jump out of a perfectly good plane....but that doesn't seem irrational.

4. if you had to choose, which super hero would you date?

Spider Woman
5. are you more likely to be running late or running early for a social event with a close friend? why?
Most likely early. Why? When doing stuff with or for friends, I am usually early. If by myself, I saunter in whenever I get there.

ETA - oh my! I didn't realize Spider Woman was gonna take up the whole screen! Oh well...

1. I enjoy many genres but I enjoy very few country and western songs. Also, few techno songs. My favourite is probably symphonic metal.

2. Firm but quality, so not stiff as a board. Soft to the touch but good for my spine.

3. Around 12C.

4. Depends on the weather. I dislike lukewarm water. I usually drink room temperature water and cold in Summer.

5. Theater or cinema? When I visit the cinema, I usually go on Cheap Tuesday. If possible, I sit at the back or towards the back and sometimes in the middle. I don't like the front of the cinema, it's difficult to see the full range of the screen.

5. I don't purchase any concessions. (Mom does that.) I just consume... and I sit wherever Mom sits... I have no freedom even though I turn 12 this summer! :D

1. Any music that is romantic and playful in nature.
2. I don't use a mattress. I sleep on the floor.
3. 60 degrees - I am from Florida and do not tolerate cold temperatures.
4. I prefer black coffee.
5. I don't go to movie theaters any more but if I did I would sit with my arms around the woman that I love.

1. What genre of music do you prefer?

I like instrumental music of the late Romantic period - Brahms, Mahler, Richard Strauss...and Impressionistic - Faure, Debussey.

I also like classic rock, swing and bebop jazz.

2. What type of mattress do you prefer? Soft, firm... vibrating with a lot of buttons?
:p

I don't use a mattress. I hang upside-down from the top of a cave.

3. At what temperature do you wear a coat?

I never paid much attention....upper 50's, I suppose.

4. Do you prefer cold water, or room temperature drinking water?

I am fortunate to live in an area where the tap water is pretty good. That's not the way it is just two counties up or other parts of the country that I have lived in for a while (I'm talking to YOU, West Texas!!!). The tap water tends to be just a bit cooler than room temp, but not refrigerator cold, so...I guess I like it a little cooler than room temperature.

5. When you go to the theater, what concessions do you purchase & where in the theater do you sit?

I will not pay such crazy prices for those kinds of things. I may bring in some Hot Tamales that I got in the dollar store before getting my movie ticket, or (usually) do without. I like to sit in the middle...front, mid-theater, or back...as long as I am near the middle somewhere, I am fine.

1. What genre of music do you prefer?

i really don't have solitary preference. i have a lot of musical leanings that are all over the place. i like a lot of the christian sub genres, plus electronic, some pop, r&b, rock/classic, 70s/80s/90s.

i also love pockets of classical, opera, and the standards. coltrane, davis, and simone too. and i grew up listening to classic country, so there is a nostalic fondness as well.

2. What type of mattress do you prefer? Soft, firm... vibrating with a lot of buttons?

probably closer to the firmer end of the spectrum, since i sleep in my stomach. i hate those beds that you sink into, and my big fluffy feather bed (that sounded so good at the store) is in my closet, sealed in a bag. i should probably get rid of it. : )

3. At what temperature do you wear a coat?

hard to say. i hate wearing bulky coats and outerwear most of the time. on the other hand, my hands/arms get cold when i'm sitting around, so it's not unusual to find me wearing shorts and a long sleeved t shirt during this fickle spring/fall weather.

it has to be pretty cold and wintry here in OR for me to bust out a coat, like freezing temperatures.

i wear arm warmers almost everyday, unless we're in summer weather (or the AC is blasting, then they're back on).

4. Do you prefer cold water, or room temperature drinking water?

i prefer my water slightly cooler than room temp, about 60 degrees. but room temp is good for me.

5. When you go to the theater, what concessions do you purchase & where in the theater do you sit?

usually about halfway to 3/4 back. i'm not one to buy the junk at concession stands, except for the occasional popcorn.

but i've been known to smuggle in a cookie or a pretzel. : )

1. What genre of music do you prefer?

Favs - Thrash,Heavy Metal,Industrial,Jazz. I own & will listen just about everything except country. The only country I own or enjoy would be Johnny Cash.

2. What type of mattress do you prefer? Soft, firm... vibrating with a lot of buttons?
:p

I haven't really slept in a bed in nearly 10 yrs. But if given the choice then something firm yet really comfy,if that makes sense. Currently I have been sleeping in a lazy boy type recliner.

3. At what temperature do you wear a coat?

I'm the type who'd rather be cold than sweaty & hot. I usually will wear a hoodie even in the dead of winter.I will wear one if the temp drops below 50 degrees usually.

4. Do you prefer cold water, or room temperature drinking water?

I hate warm or lukewarm water...has to be cold. the colder the better..preferably with ice. I don't enjoy beverages warm unless it's coffee. (or tequila at room temp)

5. When you go to the theater, what concessions do you purchase & where in the theater do you sit?

Sometimes popcorn, but usually just sneak in my own stuff. Then again this is rare,as I almost never go to the theater to see movies much anymore. I like to sit somewhere in the middle.

I hope to find five interesting questions every week for us to answer and discuss. Launching now.

1. What movie deserves a sequel?

Passion of the Christ: The Blessed Hope. It would be more awesome than the movie 2012. But the difference is that Jesus is the Savior who raptured us into the sky and you see cars crashing, planes down, the earth shook.. you name it.

2. What one toy would you like to throw repeatedly at a brick wall?
This question was already asked last week! So I say it again, a lacrosse ball. I think you repeated everything this week, rain. Need to come up with more original.

3. What is one thing you always wanted as a kid, but never got?

A true high school girlfriend. (never had one)

4. Where do you not mind waiting?

Where? Hmm.. Ah, if I am going to have a child for first time, I would not mind waiting at the ER for my future wife whoever she is to give birth to our child!

5. What is your most impressive car repair skill?
Changing tires for this poor crying lady in January 1985 who needed someone to fix her flat tire on her old VW Beetle (long before the New Beetle model came out). I changed it when it was like 10 degrees out, at six pm, snowing hard,.. can't see the nuts and bolts on the wheel so I had to take my gloves off and feel the icy cold parts with my bare hands!! I did it!!! She thanked me so much. (please refer this part to my blog on about my dream. This happened same day as I received my clues). I can fix almost anything so I changed to most proud work I have done. I did this to help this lady because she needed to hurry home to get ready for her hot date (not kidding!! She said that!) in an hour! AAA would not come to nearly an hour later!

3. At what temperature do you wear a coat?
45 Degrees or colder (in F!)

4. Do you prefer cold water, or room temperature drinking water?
Icy cold but often I drink room temp bottled water.

5. When you go to the theater, what concessions do you purchase & where in the theater do you sit?
No concessions and normally sit to fit the width of view of my eyes.. row 5ish to 8ish.. Middle right side since I am blind in right eye. And my special sweetie whoever she is would have to sit on my left side always. And no, do not think of me as Sheldon!! Hahaha!

If you did smuggled in and I worked as an usher, I would spot a mile away you would be sneaking in something, I would ask you to remove it!! lol!!!!

I have been known to ask movie goers to remove such food from them and I place them in the usher's stand. Yes, I used to work in the theaters back in the days!!

Also caught someone naughty naughty in the theaters too!! It was a no-no!!

Also someone has no proof of ticket to a movie she sneaked in and had to throw her out!! My boss was right there!

All this for FREE movies to watch unlimited!!! Death Wish 5, Running Man, among other movies back in 1980's.

Ok, I have five new questions :p

1. How long does it take you to count backwards from zero?

2. If you had $1000 dollars and you put $500 in the bank and spent the other $500, and then the bank failed because the government didn't think it was big enough to bail-out, how many dollars would you have left?

3. How many calories are in a diet soda?

4. What's pi minus 3.14?

5. Who asks the dumbest questions ever on CC? :p
Hey, ask Dr. Sheldon Cooper!! He will answer them for you!! Bazinga!!
