are you more likely to suffer from a lack of energy or too much energy?

i've always been rather high energy. when i'm alone, i have a hard time sitting still or watching television/movies --i have to be doing something else. that said, generally when i'm lacking energy, it's because i'm short on sleep.

are you more likely to startle (scare) someone, or be the one startled?

my friends seem to take great delight in startling me--usually, it's because i'm so engrossed in something. once, i accidentally smacked a pal, and i've noticed that he hasn't purposely scared me lately. : )

how do you plan to spend your "retirement"?

i doubt i'll voluntarily retire. i have plans for a second and third career, and i hope to be enjoying the change of pace and adventures they provide--but we'll see what God has in store for me.

are you easily embarrassed, and what happens when you are?

yes, and usually i embarrass myself. i have a knack for making innocent statements that sound benign to me but after they come out of my mouth and hang in the air, i'm slightly mortified by their implication (or the reference). this happens more than you'd probably guess.

i definitely get embarrassed by compliments and other stuff as well. i usually try to play it cool, but the rosy face tends to give me away.

do you attend church? if so, tell us about your church and what you like about it.

yes, i love my church. it's a nicely (mid to larger) sized church for a decently sized city. we have a great worship service and pastoral staff with a great balance between evangelism and discipleship.

one of my favorite things about my church is how involved/dedicated we are with ministry/evangelism in the community--it's one of the main reasons i chose this church. we recently finished a services/ministry building that is largely dedicated to providing spiritual/health/emotional/basic needs and care and and is almost entirely operated by volunteers.

It all depends on what I've been doing. It's not so much lack of energy as much as lack of enthusiasm.I only need 3-4 hours of sleep a night max. Again,it really depends on my interest level of what I'm doing at the moment.

I more likely to startle people. I used to love to scare my friends when I was younger. I'm pretty stealthy when I need to be. Also I used to scare people just walking around places back when I had long hair. I dunno why but people found me intimidating. I never understood it,but more than one person has told me that before they met me & actually spoke to me that I scared them. Once & a while someone will accidentally scare me,that's the worst!

Ummm...I really have no idea. Hopefully happy & spending time/doing things with people I care about.
(I know..retarded answer)

I used to be as a little kid,but by the time I got into my mid-teen years I sort of came into my own & really didn't care much of what anyone said, because I knew that I could embarrass them far worse than they could me,due to my rapier wit & sarcasm. (nothing to be proud of btw,as I learned moreso once I got saved)
The only time now I get embarrassed is if someone compliments me in front of a bunch of people. Dunno, why but it just feels weird.I just get for a loss of words.

Nope. Haven't been a member of a church since I was 26 yrs old. I'd love to find a good one someday, but to be honest with you I haven't made it a priority.

1. At times too little energy but I have my more energized moments (especially when I'm with friends).

2. I'm more likely to startle someone. Although of late, it's been pretty evenly matched.

3. I don't know. I've never really thought it through.

4. Yes, I easily get embarrassed. My face goes red, my words get jumbled and I make a complete fool of myself - I imagine it's like being in love. :p

5. Yes, I regularly attend my local Lutheran church, usually the evening service on Sunday. The Australian Lutheran church is often very conservative. Our church has more contemporary music and is less stiff and structured but it still has the biblically-sound values and beliefs. I get along with most people at church, but naturally some more than others. We have one pastor who is a lovely humble man of God, very passionate about God and people. We occasionally have members of the church take the message for the evening and often have discussion time or group prayer time. Holy Communion is celebrated every two weeks. Following the service, many of us go down to the pastor's house for a shared tea/dinner and great fellowship. It's a great place to be. My only thought is that they could offer more music styles in the service. That, and at times, there could be a little more depth in the message. But all in all, my church is a real blessing.

1. You'd have to tell me what the roles were before I would choose the players. Some people are better for certain roles than others.

2. Lettuce is rabbit food not people food. Salad is for the most part disgusting but if you gave me a bowl of baby carrots and mushrooms I would eat it without complaining.

3. Anywhere where being an older single woman alone would be taken by the local men to mean they can treat me inappropriately. Parts of India and the Arab world come to mind. Though I think I've perfected the I'm going to give you so much trouble it's not even worth it to talk to me vibe so I don't have many problems with men (except maybe them getting the courage to let me know they are interested if any have been).

4. I made up cartoon land and we blasted off on the swing set and went to cartoon land because it was the one time that the cartoon heroes couldn't beat the villains and they needed our help. Fun times.

5. Sir Terry Pratchett at the North American Discworld convention in 2011. Have to admit I like his books much more than his philosophical outlook.

1. Bananas are good, so are apples and pears and blueberries and….

2. Stress is not fun. Adrenaline is released in stressful situations. Why would you do that to yourself?

3. I still have my baby blanket (aka special blankie) and stuffed little foot dinosaur from when the first Land before time movie came out. They are tucked away in a bag in the basement now, but they did share my bed for a significant part of my life.

4. Let's see. Go hiking out at the beach (there actually is such a place with both hiking trails and beach about half an hour from my US house) and have a nice in depth discussion about life the universe and everything. If we're going to be together for a full day, there will probably be food involved too ( I make good trail mix).

5. My physics teacher stands out in my mind because he wrote all his own tests incorporating seasonal themes, cartoons, and people in class. So we had a turkey themed test around thanksgiving time and one time two of the students in class had an attraction between them (gravitational attraction not the other kind).

1. If you were directing a movie, who would you cast as your leading man and leading woman?

Answer - I would direct a "comedy" version of "The Notebook", and have Rachel McAdams' character played by Anna Farris and have Ryan Gosling's character played by Kevin James. I would call it "The Cookbook".

2. Aside from lettuce, what are your two favorite salad ingredients?

Answer - What's salad???

3. In what part of the world would you hate to be in by yourself?

Answer - Downtown Toronto (it looks like the movie "Bladerunner" - overpopulated and yet very bleak and impersonal). Wow, that was a depressing answer!

4. What was your favorite childhood game?

Answer - Kick The Can. I would still play it today, but kicking a can around on the ground is now considered environmentally unfriendly.

5. Who is the most famous person you have ever met?

Answer - Back in the 90's I got to meet six-time Mr. Olympian Dorian Yates. What a beast! It was hard for me to believe a human being could be that massively muscular. You know what else I couldn't believe? That he charged me $15 dollars for his autograph!!! I could've used that $15 to buy the mysterious "salad" food everyone is talking about!!!
