New questions again...

1. Name 3 objects you would be lost without:

2. What's the oldest item in your fridge?

3. Driving- what's the first song that comes to mind that includes that word (give us the whole line)?

4. Look out the nearest window- list 5 things you saw:

5. Which "element" are you most drawn to; earth, wind, fire, or water? Why?
1. GPS - okay, I'll behave myself. 3 things: my laptop, a good book, of late - my mobile phone

2. A large jar of almonds that's several months old, but they keep.

3. Driving, driving in our big red car - The Wiggles

4. Table with a lazy Susan, cat, stairs, garden, houses

5. Fire. I'm as far removed from a pyromaniac as you can get. Even in Cubs and Scouts I'd get someone else to light the fire to cook our food or whatever. I'm not scared of fire anymore but I'm still cautious. I love fire though. Its unpredictable nature, its power and intensity, the movement and crackle of the flames, the warmth fire provides and how it helps to cleanse and initiate new life/growth in nature. On a more spiritual note, if you've read my profile, you'd notice I love the concept of God being the Refiner's Fire in my life. Life can be a real struggle at times but there's great beauty and hope in letting yourself be refined by the One who made you and knows you best. So, yeah. Fire. Awesome.

1. phone, wallet, and keys. Sigh. So cliche. :p
2. A jar of relish. I don't mess with it, and it doesn't mess with me. We've gotten along so far.
3. Haha I can't actually think of one with the word driving, but the first song that popped in my head is about driving! Fun fun fun by the Beach Boys :D
4. My dad's truck, a cat, neighbor mowing his lawn, a kid on a tricycle, and a unicorn*
5. Water, definitely. Water is nurturing, life-giving, and calm. It has a natural flow, and is so versatile. Fun fact: my name means "longing for the sea".

*just kidding. I didn't see a cat.

1. Name 3 objects you would be lost without:

+ my phone, which is the keeper of my schedule, my phone book, and so much more

+ my computer, which is part of my livelihood, provides a connection to others, a source to educate and the list goes on.

+ my speakers - listening to music is a primary means to motivate, soothe, uplift, invigorate, and so much more. music is always playing here.

2. What's the oldest item in your fridge?
my sourdough starter, which is about 5 years old. i just "fed it" because i'm making some homemade sourdough rolls for burgers/sandwiches tomorrow.

3. Driving- what's the first song that comes to mind that includes that word (give us the whole line)?

the very first song that came to mind was "i drove all night", probably because i heard it a couple days ago.

I drove all night to get to you
Is that alright
I drove all night

4. Look out the nearest window- list 5 things you saw:

tree
bird feeder
terracotta potted hibiscus
grass
fence

5. Which "element" are you most drawn to; earth, wind, fire, or water? Why?

water probably. i love rain and snow, both of which i associate with very positive things. internally, our bodies are marine environments, and we require water for the most essential of functions--water represents life to me.

oh, and i read a cool quote recently.

i need someone who sees the fire in my eyes and wants to play with it.

Is that a quote from Avatar: The Last Airbender? Because it sure sounded like it. :p

No ma'am. It is my own thoughts and wording. But it is kind of Avatarish.

Which, by the way, is the ONLY anime/manga type stuff i've ever liked.

Much better than that big-budget nonsense movie adaptation and James Cameron's plain boring, but hugely expensive, Avatar movie.

I'm sorry. I'll remember not to talk about it again. I just watched the Nostalgia Critic 'review' of the movie and it was downright awful and actually painful to watch. I've never seen the actual movie.

In the post I quoted from you, you mentioned both movies. My cringing response was referring to The Last Airbender, not James Cameron's "avatar".

Avatar was ok. Visually stunning in the theaters, but the plot was just ok.

I had already seen already seen Dances with Wolves and Fern Gully, so Avatar the movie did nothing for me. Yes, sorry, Love. I was referring to Not-At-All-Ugly's post.

You do realize Esanta that 'direction, bearing and focus' are not 'objects', as the question asks.
