You do realize Esanta that 'direction, bearing and focus' are not 'objects', as the question asks.
Object has more than one definition. Seriously, are you actually nitpicking that? lol

What you call 'nitpicking' i call presuming you've misread the question and trying to help by pointing it out. But if you want to take the critical route and paint me to be some kind of bad guy, then go for it if that's what you need to do.

You do believe some strange nonsense, so I wouldn't be surprised that you don't know what you're talking about.

and yes, I realize that all of these are not in the form of a question, but this ain't Jeopardy.

1. Yesterday I cooked, but today I ate, a simple but tasty dish. Cooked up some chicken with a lot of onion and garlic and almonds and a healthy dose of pepper. Accompanying the chicken were various raw veggies. My brother and I finished up with a bowl of vanilla and chocolate choc-chip ice cream.

2. I can't remember. I think it was to country western Victoria for my grandma's funeral. Late last year?

3. A) Heaven's Wager - Ted Dekker
B) When Heaven Weeps - Ted Dekker
C) Blessed Child - Ted Dekker and Bill Bright
D) A Man Called Blessed - Ted Dekker and Bill Bright
E) Thunder of Heaven - Ted Dekker

You've probably gathered by now that my top bookshelf is entirely made up of Ted Dekker books. :)

4. The last household chore I did was remove, clean and replace the books in my bookshelf (big job).

5. My favourite Summer activity is to stay inside, in an air-conditioned room and do nothing or just watch something good or read a good book. Aussie Summers are often intolerable and I don't really care for them. It's Winter here.

1. Describe a dinner you had within the last week.
Drat. You caught me. This question makes me feel like Fiona Apple ("I've been a bad, bad, girl...") On my day off, I made a HUGE pot of spaghetti alfredo (I make mine with spaghetti noodles instead of fettucine; I just like the texture better), picked up a 6-pack (of cupcakes!) and snacked all day while watching movies. This is close to my idea of heaven. :)

2. What was the last road trip you took?
My parents and I recently spent 4 months traveling and visiting family, driving from FL to AZ to WA state (it actually feels weird now to be in the same place all the time.) I loved it!! We had planned to drive back to AZ, but wound up flying because of a car accident that put our vehicle out of of commission. I was actually disappointed we didn't get to drive back. I like all kinds of travel but there is something special about road trips. One of my goals (hopefully) would be to drive from one end of Route 66 to the other--and back.

3. List the first five books from your bookcase.
Goodnight Moon (favorite childhood book), Theophostic Ministry, Disappointment With God, Where is God When it Hurts (my favorite Christian author is Philip Yancey, who asks the questions we all have but are told not to ask), and Personal Finance for Dummies.

4. The last household chore I did was _________.
Watered the babies (house plants... some of them are actually growing!!) and wiped down the kitchen. One of my friends KNOWS I am a newbie at trying to grow things (container gardening, if you can call it that in my case) with little success (I've had 2 casualties so far) and just "happened" to call the other day, telling me how she and the kids just made a batch of homemade jam using fresh berries from their garden. GGGGRRRR. I'm having vegetation envy.

5. What is your favorite summer activity?
Seeing as I've lived in places with perpetual summers the past few years, my favorite activity has become... enjoying air conditioning. I'm also munching on a bowl of sweet cherries, which always reminds me of my grandparents because they had a cherry orchard when I was a kid. I can still remember my Grandma up on the cherry shaker. These store-bought cherries, while beautiful, have nuttin' on the ones they used to grow in their backyard.

1. Describe a dinner you had within the last week.
Pesto chicken salad with cooked pumpkin, capsicum and mushroom. LOL, I totally bought it pre-made in a container. (You guys assume I can cook?)

2. What was the last road trip you took?
In May, I drove two hours to a tree house cabin in this place that is quite popular for being one of those 'cabin and bed and breakfast' places. I decided to go north instead of south. I think next time I'll go south again. South tends to be less touristy and more 'in the middle of nowhere but delightfully breathtaking'.

Well, I guess next time I'll be going WAY south, all the way to Tintin land. :)

3. List the first five books from your bookcase.
Since I can't be bothered walking from the computer to my bedroom at 5:45am on a winter morning, I'm just going to look at the book case in the lounge room: The Yellow pages, old Bible, the second, third and fourth volume to some sort of Encyclopaedia collection.

4. The last household chore I did was __________.
I washed the dishes.

5. What is your favorite summer activity?
In summer, I like to... go where it's no hot? I don't mind going to the Gold coast here where they have nice beaches, but I'm too self-conscious to be that uncovered in public. Even with boardies and a singlet on. Girls.... psh.

and yes, I realize that all of these are not in the form of a question, but this ain't Jeopardy.

1. I just made seafood alfredo. I was really excited to find the alfredo sauce I always buy in the states at one of the foreigner stores here. It was a taste of home.

2.Ummm, I usually travel by airplane if I'm leaving town.

3. The ones important enough to have with me here: Future Grace by John Piper, We don't speak great things we live them (2 ancient church documents edited for modern readers), Ministering cross culturally, Singles at the crossroads, Dune (they can't all be spiritual books now can they). Also there are several bibles scattered about. I'm still faster with a paper bible than searching for a passage on an e-reader or computer.

4. Sweeping the floor, or dishes. Or technically making tea if you consider that a chore.

5. Swimming. I really should get to the pool sometime this summer.

To do that road trip you probably went through California, right? Probably I-5 or Highway 99 (unless you did 101 or PCH). Are you saying you whizzed through town and didn't visit me? I'm hurt...:(

BTW - everyone's meals sound fantastic!! I'm hungry now.
