I thought this might make for an interesting question.

I actually keep a list of goals I want to accomplish before I reach 60. Some call it a bucket list I have a list of 50 goals, and my list is actually broken down into 7 categories; Physical, Social, Mental, Financial, Travel, Adventure, and Other.

What are 10 things on your bucket list?

Kylie-jo: Well, I guess the idea of the Lord's guidance in life (Proverbs 3.5-6, etc.) is a good item for such a list, right? :)

Blessings.

I always say I'm gonna add stuff to my bucket list but I don't actually have a real one, however there are some people I'd really like to meet before I die.

2. Travel to as many countries as possible.
3. Open an orphanage and work there myself.
4. Get a crazy hair colour like blue or purple.
5. Write my own bestseller.

You better work on this one first so you can afford some of the others. :p

Hmm, let's see...

1) Correct my view of who I am through God's eyes

2) Forgive myself

3) Let people in a tad bit easier

4) Write the books I have ideas for. So far I'm up to five.

5) Kick my sugar habit (as I sit here and drink a Pepsi)

6) Become more organized

7) Travel to just about anywhere. The company is just as important as the location.

8) This sounds silly, but get one of those beds that cools you while you sleep.

9) Make sure my mom is financially secure

10) Learn to cook a wider range of foods

i really don't believe in bucket lists, simply because i have so many goals and plans that i couldn't live long enough to achieve them all. they're more like contingency plans depending upon the path my life takes. : ) but this is what i'll refer to as a "to do list".

learn how to spend time with my family without going bat crazy

start writing again

take more dance lessons

get into really good shape

research further my dad's biological family tree (possibly meet some)

take piano lessons

finally take that trip to the holy land

move and settle into another, better place for me

start my next career

resume language studies, take some extended trips affording me the chance to use my enhanced vocabulary, and enjoy conversation more meaningful than "where's the bathroom at?" or "i'll take the blue one, please".

fall in love with a "worthy vessel"

refuse to grow up

The only goal that comes to mind right now is make it through the rest of the afternoon without spontaneously combusting.

Easier said than done when you're a human firecracker.

I don't even know where I'm going with this. You know what? Scratch all that, the only thing I want to do before I die is figure out how to properly transfer my thoughts into writing so I can stop chasing my tail. Er, metaphorically speaking.

It's funny how one's bucket list changes throughout the years. When I was in high school, my bucket list was something like this:
1. Get married right after high school.
2. Have all our kids by age 25 (at the time, I wanted to 2 girls and 2 boys.)
3. Live happily ever as Mrs....

Fast forward a few (cough, cough) years later and since God has not worked it out for me to be married or have a family, my list has turned into places I want to see and things I want to try instead.

For instance, I hope to:
1. Visit every country in the UK.

2. Be able to attend a future get-together with some of our regulars in Singles chat.

3. Stand on the Great Wall of China (or be like Justin Bieber and have my entourage carry me up the stairs there.... any volunteers to be a part of my entourage???)

4. Sew a pair of jeans (Maybe. I tried once. Epic fail.)

5. Master a diamond-pattern woven friendship bracelet for my niece (after a week, 2 books, and one YouTube video later... I'm still trying. And getting it wrong. WHAT DO YOU MEAN, DOUBLE-CROSS HALF COUNTERCLOCKWISE KNOT???!!!) Dang it all, 11-year-old girls whip these things up in 15 minutes... I CAN DO THIS!

6. Find a church (I just moved to a new area.) I've been to about 6 in the area and haven't found one that has... members under 70 years old. Not that this is a bad thing but I'd like to find a church with member in my age category.

7. Keep a plant alive for longer than a few months... OR on the trip home in my car. (True story, one plant I bought wilted in my car on the way home. I had killed it before I even got it home from the store.)

8. Participate in a volunteer program at the orphanage I was adopted from in Korea.

9. Get buff. (Hey, aren't I allowed to throw in at least one joke on my bucket list...)

10. Beat my insomnia. One of these days, I want to be able to sleep through the night like a normal person!!!

Well, whether the church is Bible based matters far more than ppl's ages. And if you stay at the one with many seniors, then maybe younger folk will join also because you are there... :)

I've lots of experience with different churches, all Bible based. (Who on earth, as a Christian, would go to a non-Bible based church in the first place?? That kind of goes without saying.) Finding one in which you can find a peer group is very important, no matter how Bible-based the church may be.

Try picturing this in reverse--planting yourself in a church of all teenagers. Sure, you can hang in there until the older people join. It's possible. But it will take a while, and it's harder to grow in faith without a variety of age and experience to learn from. Likewise, it's hard for me to grow spiritually among a group of people that are (just being honest) dying (talking about nothing but medical problems) or patting me on the head because they talk down to me and see me as a cute kid with nothing to offer.

Now, to make this post legal--I hope to find a church with a peer group I can relate to and serve in ways other than by bringing the bedpans. (I am making a gentle joke here!)

I used to have a bucket list,so to speak long before it was ever hip to call it that. I don't anymore. One reason is I did many of the things that were on it when I was younger. The only few things I never got to do involved traveling. I still would like to visit these tow places, but if I never do,I'm cool with that.

From the time I was about 6 yrs old I was obsessed with the culture, people, food & films of Japan. No idea why. None at all. I was 14 before I ever even met anyone who was Japanese. I had some Korean & Chinese friends in grade & high school, and when I was in my late teens,a few Filipino friends. Asian culture is cool, but for some odd reason,Japan stood out for me. If I believed in reincarnation,I swear I'd have been born Japanese in a previous life.

So my big thing,up until I was around 32 yrs old,was wanting to visit Japan (mainly Tokyo) before I die. Not so much anymore. Not that if I had the opportunity to visit I'd pass it up,it's just I'm not so consumed by the idea of it any longer.

The other place I always wanted to visit before I died was New Zealand. Seeing the Lord of the Rings films made me want to go all the more. Again, not so much a big priority at this stage in life, but it looks beautiful.

I dunno...I suppose there's one other thing I wanna do before I die,but it's personal. I've told God,and one person. That's all that need to know.

I would like to write the testimony of my life in a book, self publish and pass out copies to witness to the glory and grace of God.

Get my Ph.D

Go to Europe.

Watch my grandchildren grow up. (Beyond my control, I know, but still a goal.)

Lead more people to Christ.

Serve God with all my heart!

Hey this is a great Idea!
1 I want to walk through the spirit instead of through the flesh
2 After I finish military (I hope I can get in the trucking division) I would like to come to the States, buy the biggest and baddest semi truck I can find, and be a trucker for 3 Years or so, and live in the truck and be an owner operator, visit ALL of my family and Friends I have their (cousins, Friends I met in our Hotel)

3 Once I retire from being a construction engineer, I don't want to go to a retirement home, but I want to move to a thirdworld country and build "hog heaven" that is a 30-50 farrowing-sow- hog-farm 3 horses, 10 cows and a cheesery and 30 chickens and 3 four wheelers and 1 Harley Davidson and one pickuptruck and a swimming hole close by and grilling steaks and sipping beers..........AHAHAAAAAAAAAAA ILOVE LIFE!!!!
