Hello brother Jerry, its been awhile
Yes, sorry that I have been a stranger but the last few weeks I picked up an extra shift at work to help ends meet. Hopefully, I will go back to my usual Thu-Sun schedule. It just doesn't leave much time to relax with my peeps. :)

"If the Son makes you free…." Do not substitute Savior for Son in this passage. The Savior has set us free from sin, but this is the freedom that comes from being set free from myself by the Son. It is what Paul meant in Galatians 2:20 when he said, "I have been crucified with Christ…." His individuality had been broken and his spirit had been united with his Lord; not just merged into Him, but made one with Him. "…you shall be free indeed" - free to the very core of your being; free from the inside to the outside. We tend to rely on our own energy, instead of being energized by the power that comes from identification with Jesus.

Today as I think of America and freedom I know it is not American pride that sets me free - it is my life found in Christ that sets me free and as an American - I can be used by God to love others as did Jesus, as Jesus Himself sets others free. As an American I raise up the flag of Jesus which has been and will be persecuted but has not nor will not be fallen. I can give my star spangled banner in sharing the good news of Jesus Christ and Him Crucified and raised at the right hand of God where we too can sit hidden in Him. Let the flag be waived - and in this moment for me as an American - so too is it the flag of all Nations and places of peoples in the world. Let us celebrate today, as Americans, the freedom of Christ Jesus found in us.

Blue Lady,

Maybe you or your dad could make a portable air conditioner? It looks pretty easy to me.

Good Morning Peoples - I was just thinking of a friend - a close friend - who had answered prayer recently. I got to thinking how sometimes we are shocked He answered us - when all we should be is amazed He answered us. "In that day you will ask in My name…" (John 16:26). We too often think of the Cross of Christ as something we have to get through, yet we get through for the purpose of getting into it. The Cross represents only one thing for us - complete, entire, absolute identification with the Lord Jesus Christ - and there is nothing in which this identification is more real to us than in prayer.

"Your Father knows the things you have need of before you ask Him" (Matthew 6:8). Then why should we ask? The point of prayer is not to get answers from God, but to have perfect and complete oneness with Him. If we pray only because we want answers, we will become irritated and angry with God. We receive an answer every time we pray, but it does not always come in the way we expect, and our spiritual irritation shows our refusal to identify ourselves truly with our Lord in prayer. We are not here to prove that God answers prayer, but to be living trophies of God’s grace. To be living sacrifices for His name sake.

"…I do not say to you that I shall pray the Father for you; for the Father Himself loves you…" (John 16:26-27). Have we reached such a level of intimacy with God that the only thing that can account for our prayer life is that it has become one with the prayer life of Jesus Christ? Has our Lord exchanged our life with His vital life? If so, then "in that day" we will be so closely identified with Jesus that there will be no distinction. Ahhh - How Sweet the sound of that! Yes?! It is reality when we align with God rightly so with the Holy Spirit's guise.

When prayer seems to be unanswered, beware of trying to place the blame on someone else. That is always a trap of Satan. When you seem to have no answer, there is always a reason - God uses these times to give you deep personal instruction, and it is not for anyone else but you.
