Good Morning Deade! My morning has gone splendidly. I spent a while in The Word and started doing laundry. Now off to my studies for a class. Hope you all have a great day.

By the way it may be interesting to share your results if one would feel so led: My score results for my two top gifts are:

1). Prophecy
2). Service/Helps

  • Prophecy—The gift of prophecy is proclaiming the Word of God boldly. This builds up the body and leads to conviction of sin. Prophecy manifests itself in preaching and teaching (1 Cor. 12:10; Rom. 12:6).

  • Service/Helps—Those with the gift of service/helps recognize practical needs in the body and joyfully give assistance to meeting those needs. Christians with this gift do not mind working behind the scenes (1 Cor. 12:28; Rom. 12:7).

My top three were the following:

1) Mercy
2) Service/helps
3) Faith and Exhortation (tied)
I can never self-assessment test accurately for some reason
Mine came out as such:
1) Prophecy
2) Leadership
3) 4-way tie Administration/Wisdom/Shepherding/Apostleship

does this count as prophesy?

that it's possible that God allow suffering (even at the level where humans can never discern the point, or the necessary-ness of the suffering)

yet, God probably allow that so that "in the long run" in the course of human history, the gospel is sustained for the longest possible longevity

hmm ...

This is a questionnaire to discover your gifts God has given you - but it is important to be in Christ to understand your gifts well, and to procure them in Christ. This is just one of many gift questionnaires one could use as a tool - but it may help. It may help many who would like to find out as well about their gifts. The key is to answer the questions honestly. Also, try to fix yourself on the answer with resolve not answering everything with 3's. In other words - give yourself permission to answer it more boldly as to your preferences.

It looked like a lot of work Dan to take the survey as it was not really on the computer that you check boxes off and that it will tally your score and the charts. I would have taken it but I am worn out and my mind is tired.

Instead of thinking for God's sake - try listening to Him spiritually in quietness and expectancy thru prayer - He knows the answers and is waiting patiently to share them with you. But in human reasoning you will be a million miles away from the truth. Lock into righteousness and righteous living inasmuch as you have surrendered to Him all things. He will be faithful and loving and will establish your steps ...

(John 6:37): ... The Voice (VOICE)
37 All that My Father gives to Me comes to Me. I will receive everyone; I will not send away anyone who comes to Me.

In the same way - what we know is based on what we are given by way of revelation of His Spirit that leads to thoughtfulness and willful placement in Christ - as we then meditate from His flow into us. Try to stop trying and accept what He is willing to do - which is receive you and not send you away, as you come to Him. He will show you Himself - you need to have faith in order to trust that. Do you trust Him?
