TaylorTG, what are your goals for your time on CC? It might help the conversation along if we could reach a common ground as to what you are expecting from being here.

But as for the blood in Praus'es post, I think it is simply realistic. Christ was scourged to where rivers of blood ran down his entire body from his back, he had a crown made of thorns rammed onto his head where the blood ran down his face and into his eyes, and then he was nailed to a cross with nails much larger and much squarer (and blunter) than anything in use today save a square nail.

He did this for all of us, so that we may know eternal life. It was horrifying and beautiful at the same time.

but how can one truly care about someone if he/she never even met that someone, let alone saw that someone's face? I guess it's just an expression...
Did Jesus Christ meet you before He went on the cross for you?

@Praus
No, Jesus was far before our times, sir.

That's correct, so based on your cross-denying question above ("
how can one truly care about someone..."), YOU are antichrist TaylorG.

1 John 2:22 Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.

Disturbing picture (Just the blood.) coming from a user with a disturbing avatar, sorry.
Just the blood...have you ever even read the New Testament, TaylorG?

Heb 9:14 How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

Don't say it. I know, I again ruined any chance of developing good relationships with people here. Don't say it. I learned my lesson.
TaylorTG,

I think you will find your brothers and sisters here in Christ loving and understanding.
Like Rachel I understood your point of being careful, it's a hard thing to be careful but still love.

So you know as far as I am concerned you have not ruined having good relationships and fellowships. For me you could not ruin that. You are a brother in Christ. I accept your word in that.

Hope in time you will see when I say I love you it's genuine.
God bless you for seeking fellowship among all these amazing believers.

Still and always, love you brother,
lexi

TaylorG, I'm sorry if my first post there was a little harsh. It's just that my hackles get raised a bit when I feel that a brother or sister of mine in Christ is being attacked.

No worries, though. If a few messed up posts here and there kept us from friendship, many of us here would not still be around. :)

Taylor, we're Christians (most of us), and you seriously need a lot more Bible study.

Matt 6:14-15 For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

Nice guy.
Gentleman this is what I want and welcome in husband.

But as someone stated difference be nice gentleman and a man who allows abuse of astounding meaures and becomes doormat and worse and has a horrid woman who beyond dominates him and he becomes obedient "thing"..
That is not nice that is stupidity and incredibly bad for relationship where no party truly happy.
They do not stand up for self and say "enough" to the horrid woman behave horrid every day shoppaholic and greedy on his money, abuse him, bodd him around, not let him talk, spy and control him etc
He is like not a man anymore but a sorry man.
Poor such a man and God help him stand up for him self, integrity and put the bad woman in place or leave her.

Samegoes for woman.....
lol goes both genders.
Many horrid females that are "bad girls" but it is not funny although they brag about it.
They go to church but only so they look like goodgood and then get power to missuse and also incite hate and bully someone good they jealous of and stealing from.
They do all the evil so they look and feel good but they are not good.
Many woman in church practice wikka and voodoo and black magic to harm.
Suprised how many evil people go to church but appear goodigoods so they get fame and power they then missuse.
Tragic.
And everyone to brainwashed to see?
They allow so called adults behave this way...........

I like a nice guy.
A gentle man but i like him to be able be a leader and dominate with the good hand in gorgeous manner and stand up for himself if needed not be a "run over" by bad people.
Then again if he was abused, locked in cage and outnumbered like hundreds to one then understand...
But if one woman or a few people then ....not let them run him over and be "lame".

Good with a nice good man who encourage to be better together and sin less lol like stop maturbating or start exercise .
and then compliment eachother.

A member of that anti-Christ? There are so many ways to take that. And so many questions. None worth exploring.

Are nice guys finishing last in the Christian culture?

Yes. Yes. And Yes. Happened to me four times (and counting).

Should they be finishing last with Christian women?

Not at all. Women shouldn't be looking for pure emotional excitement and stimulation. They should be looking for a life long partner that can upbring their children in the most Christ like way possible.

Why don't Christian women like nice guys?

The same reason non-Christian women don't like nice guys. They find them boring and unattractive.

If Christian women are not interested in nice guys, but their opposites, then who is to blame: the guys or the girls?

Neither, I guess. You can't choose who you're attracted to (for the most part). And you don't choose the nice guy life, the nice guy life chooses you. Was half way joking in that last sentence, because if I tried being a bad boy, it just won't happen. Nope nope nope. Never.

Are we "nice guys" because we are devoted to Jesus, and not in pleasing the feminine lusts of the flesh?

No, I wouldn't say that. I would consider myself before I chose Christ to be a nice guy. Same with my good friend who is an Atheist.
Hey, thanks for this my friend. I agree with about 80% of what you've said, and that's pretty good ;) hehe

Thanks so much!

And, by me saying "seeking after", i don't actually mean actively pursuing men. That is just WRONG and out of character for a Christian woman to do. What i mean by saying that phrase is more of "looking out for" said men of GOD :) again, i've been there, doing the active pursuing part XD it ain't pretty, and it makes girls like me feel less like girls, and more of the insecure, non-feminine versions of ourselves. It opens up all sorts of problems for women internally, and it affects our relationship with GOD as well, in terms of trusting HIM and completely submitting to HIS will. We are daughters of our Father GOD. HIS princesses in HIS royal court. We are to be won over by holy men who are truly deserving of our hearts that we have entrusted to GOD for safekeeping, until the one HE deems worthy to love us just as HE would is ready to take on that role :) so don't expect any GODly women to come nipping at your heels, nice guys/good guys/GODly men!!! XD But definitely count on us to be dreaming of, and praying for you ;)
Well then, ... we'll have to talk about this. There's a new thread starting.

I've decided that this is now the best answer. :D

Thank you, Lecrae! (Any relation to the rapper? lol)

"And you don't choose the nice guy life, the nice guy life chooses you." ~ Dude ... this speaks to me.

But I do think that being born again means that that will turn us into nice guys.

Thank you brother!

@Asurefire
You're too nice. *shakes head* No one on Earth can possibly be that kind and understanding. You must be an alien invader, or maybe an angel in disguise..
Yup  this gal is a true-blue MARTIAN, and darn proud of it!!! XD

But, being a little more serious now, thanks for thinking i have such "impossible" qualities ;) it's all thanks to Papa GOD, who's changing me every single day. We don't call HIM the GOD of the Impossible for nothing :) all glory and honor, power and praise be unto HIM and HIM alone, for the amazing and loving works of HIS hands, upon the life of this humble servant, and in all the lives of those HE calls HIS beloved and HIS very own!!!! :D

You're stuck? I'm excited to play games from the 90's!

I was excited a few weeks ago that I picked up a 486 to play old adventure games on (and before anyone asks, the old DOS FPS games get played on a Pentium III with a Voodoo 3 3000).

I can't do online any more... too many smack talking kids.
Ahahaha!!! XD i've stopped playing online as well. You are right about those crass and crappy-talking kids these days, alright XD i avoid them like the plague when i just want to have fun.

The last game i played online was Granado Espada (Sword of the New World). Basically loved that game for the unique 3-character fighting system, and the awesomely addicting music (mostly Trance  i downloaded the game OST, and listen to it when i want to relax or do house chores XD)

Right now, i content myself with my XBOX 360, and just play games like Dark Souls and Elder Scrolls :) i've loved playing console video games since i learned to enjoy killing monsters on the Nintendo Famicom at the age of 8

Oh yeah! I love that game, Azure...i played almost all characters in there! My favorite was Wizard and Scout. I missed those times~

Sorry OP for the derail. lol
