Introverts (or those of us with introverted tendencies) tend to recharge by spending time alone. They lose energy from being around people for long periods of time, particularly large crowds.

Extroverts, on the other hand, gain energy from other people.

Extroverts actually find their energy is sapped when they spend too much time alone. They recharge by being social.
wow that is a pretty amazing description for types of people:D Yes if I am alone for to long I get sad and lonely I get tired all the time and I lose any real meaning for the day but when I am around people who are upbeat and fun I have this life in me I am often told that I seem to absorb others positive energy and then enhance it like I am the life of the party sort of speak even though I am not.

it kind of makes sense though that I would be that kind of person as i myself am not the kind of person is strong by himself rather I become strong because I am not alone and have others who are there for me I need others to be strong I need support I need hands that will always be there when I fall down and in the same way I am the kind of person who desires to help others to build them up the uphold others and to create and deepen bonds especially so as a Christian.

As I said in another thread... I'm so introverted I make recluses and hermits look social. Oooh, I just a got a good idea for a silly thread.

The introverts win, because... so many of them have not and will not respond to this thread. ;)
And because the bible says, "The meek shall inherit the earth."

In the MBTI, I was 70% extroverted. I think the termambivert is valid only if introversion and extroversion are in 50-50.

I'm basically stoop kid. Whatever he is. I can only be lured into social experiments by ice cream.

Introvert. Being around anybody for more than 20 min absolutely drains me. I deal with it when necessary but constantly long to be alone.

I don't really know what I am anymore. When I was young, I was defiitely a complete introvert.

I am outgoing w/ my close friends or people I know and even w/ strangers I can be very outgoing, however, I struggle w/ starting a conversation w/ someone I don't know. I just cannot walk up to a complete stranger and start talking to them, however, in passing (w/ my dog), if they happen to mention something to me, I can open up and talk to them easily.

My closest friend tells me I'm very shy and yes, I can be, but, I can also be outgoing. It depends on the situation and people I'm around. I do much better in small crowds but, if there's lots of people in the crowd, I feel completely lost.

Also, 90% of the time, I Hate being alone. I get energized from being around people Usually. I can be alone and I'm fine w/ it but I'd prefer to be around people or dogs.
