Chocolate is my choice for favorite candy. Just simple and plain chocolate. I do occasionally enjoy chocolate with peanuts. Taffy is a big no no for me. I love it but it doesn't love me. It pulls my dental work out of my mouth. It causes great suffering because I end up spending hundreds of dollars fixing my dental work.
I love almost all kinds of candy, but I don't really like Rolos. The flavor of them is really good, but I don't really like the texture of them. I guess it is from having braces and having the caramel stick to my permanent retainer is what I don't like, but I like snickers go figure?

my favorite candy are probably homemade caramels. i love to make different versions, i.e. bacon caramels, fluer de sel-topped caramels, espresso caramels, cocoa nibs caramel, caramels dipped in dark chocolate.
i also love really good quality black licorice, and dark chocolate. the darker, the better.
i've recently become a huge fan of vosges chocolate bars. last night i ate part of a coconut curry bar that was really fabulous. ; p.
i hate any candy that is super tough, i.e. jujus, too sweet (most milk chocolate).
oh and those cherry cordials. they're nasty. what a waste of a perfectly good cherry. and what's that sludge inside?
