Annnnnd marshmallow fluff is now on my shopping list. :D

I got the Nutella part from "nut". Fluffer (marshmallow)-nut (Nutella)-er (peanut butter). But it looks pretty good just with the marshmallow and PB!

I'd probably grill it, because I like hot sandwiches more. Plus, toasty bread with sweet, meltedy insides? YES.

I'm watching The Walking Dead. I freakin LOVE this show! And how they ended this past season. Two people died. One, I was personally glad to see go, and the other they made into a zombie. Which was awesome, because he was basically a mild mannered zombie anyway. Soooooooo awesome!

They really are, and I do this...more often than I'd like to admit. I always underestimate how short of a time it takes to cook them, so I'll put it on the burner and then go off and be productive or play guitar for a few minutes, and then I usually forget I was even cooking a sandwich until I smell something burning. :( I need to just stand there and wait for it. But...I get bored and antsy.

I like my grilled cheese blackened. Blackened and smashed flat. Maybe it's because that's how my mother would make them (because that's how my grandmother made them...?), but that grilled crust being black and the sandwich smashed flat, served with tomato soup. NOMS.

Yes! That's how my mom made them, too. And not with that plasticy sliced cheese junk, either. Sharp cheddar, sliced too thick so it took forever to melt, hence the burning. YUM.

I always end up eating the sandwiches I burn, but it's still depressing just because I get annoyed with myself for burning stuff.

I thought the reason people had children was to eat up all the burned grilled cheese.

: )

My roommate caught part of the kitchen on fire today. True story.

She has a bad habit of turning things on high on the stove and then walking off. She turned a TINY bit of oil in a pan on high and then went to play on her phone. From the other end of the house I smelled something burning and looked over JUST in time to see the whole pan and wall go up in flames. I ran over and smothered it before she even knew what was going on. -_-

P.S. Smashed grilled cheese with tomato soup is like....oh man.....SO good!

It's too bad you can't have one of my "accident" grilled cheeses then, because then I could just say "Oh! I did that on purpose...yeah. On purpose."

I also used to not even want to try tomato soup, but then I tried it with grilled cheese, and I love it now.

I love sharp cheddar. The sharper, the better. Have you ever read the description for the plastic cheese stuff? It says "cheese product". It doesn't even sound like it's cheese. Because it hardly is.

Speaking of cheese (so yeah, basically I just love dairy products, stemming from my love of milk I suppose), there was a store in the Mall of America when my sister and I visited that just sold cheese. I bought two blocks after sampling them: Pepperoni cheese (bits of pepperoni mixed in with colby cheese), and smoked bacon sharp cheddar cheese. Worth it.

I love to slice French bread, lay a slice of cheddar on it and put it under the broiler until the cheese is kinda crusty :) Even better topped with jalapenos :)

My sis always says there are few things that cheese or chocolate can't make better :)

How has this post gone unmentioned?? 0_0

Glad to hear no one got hurt! That sounds like a close call.

PS - I agree that grilled cheese in nearly any form, with tomato soup is definitely SO good. :p

My mind was stuck in grilled cheese heaven for awhile so I totally missed that post.

Glad you weren't hurt, Catlynn! And your roommate should do all the dishes herself for the next month.

Speaking of sandwiches....a friend was telling me that if you spread light Cool Whip between two chocolate graham crackers and freeze it, you'll have a low cal ice cream sandwich :)

The same friend also made a great tasting tea ...it's a pitcher of tea with Splenda and a cup of white grape juice.

Aaaaaand...I read that you can mix the last few spoonfuls of jelly or jam in the jar with equal amounts of oil/vinegar for a great tasting vinaigrette :)

My dear friend, don't pan grill them. Put them in a toaster oven. It has a timer and it will give the sandwich a different flavor.
