Yes, I do. Pretty much always. Even when it's awkward to do so. Yeah. Haha!

Always, when I drop my son of at school I tell him to wait for the ladies (young and old :) ) before walking through the school gate or doors.

I've been looking at this for the past minute and I still don't know what happened... o_O
One person was in the revolving door, exiting the building. While the other person was entering the building via the revolving door. Both were pushing the revolving door in opposite directions at high speeds. The door couldn't handle the pressure. It vibrated back and forth very quickly. The person exiting the building, between the two doors, fell into the first door shattering it, was startled, fell back against the other door and shattered that one. It was over in a split second. The person entering the building was an inconsiderate moron.

Wow... I totally missed the person on the outside... huahuahuahuahua thanks for the detailed transcription of the scene!! :)

I wouldn't say that the person on the outside was an inconsiderate moron... just a dumb and stupid moron... :D

Haha! No worries, Carol. Also, revolving doors are designed to travel in one given direction at a time. This revolving door was trying to go both ways at the same time and that just doesn't work. Hence, the accident.

The above accident highlights the need to have revolving doors that can go both ways at the same time. :p

I gladly hold the door for others, however, if there's a second door to be opened and held, and the person does not thank me for holding the first door, then I don't hold the second door open for them.

What I find really sweet are little boys opening doors for women. I will say that chivalry is not dead, in some families it may be retired, but still there. And thank you to all the men who practice this on a daily basis:) And thank you for raising kids especially boys to be little gentlemen it is and will be appreciated

yeeeeeeeeeears ago, when i was dating, the guy lived in another state, right? when he would visit me, he would get frustrated because i would always open my own doors. not because i was like "i can do it myself!" but because i was so used to doing it myself. lol
He should have asked you, "Are you in the habit of making breakfast and dinner for your family!"

Galahad here, Knight of king Arthur's round table.
I do say chivalry is alive and well. Who would dare terminate chivalry? To the gallows.

That's kinda like turn the other cheek, wouldn't you say? If someone refuses to thank thee at the first door, open for him the second door.

(I wouldn't open the second one either. Not going to encourage their rude behavior.)
