does anyone smoke cannabis ? i am a supporter of it only thing i really support and think it can help people emotionally and physically ... if you dont believe me do your research.. i believe that a balanced blunt or joint once a while isnt bad and helps someone its like when people drink a bit of wine.. (please no judgment or insults towards me ) yes i know in the bible it says we arent supposed to do drugs but i dont consider cannabis a drug .. god gaves us plants ..
I don't smoke it but I had friends that did and I was with them when they did it. It seemed to affect them similar to how alcohol affects people except they weren't all wobbly and their speech wasn't slurry or anything. It put them into this mellow but silly mood. I tried smoking it once but it gave me a headache.

What did bother me a bit was when they were looking to buy the stuff. I mean I don't like anything that has to do with dealing drugs and you know they had to go see the local supplier dude..

From the following

Cannabis: the facts - Live Well - NHS Choices

In the past cannabis wasn’t thought to be addictive. However, research has shown that
it can be addictive, particularly if you have been using it regularly for quite a while. About
10% of regular cannabis users are thought to become dependent.

As with other addictive drugs such as cocaine and heroin, you can develop a tolerance to it.
This means you have to have more and more to get the same effects. If you stop taking it,
you can experience withdrawal symptoms, such as cravings, difficulty sleeping, mood
swings, irritability and restlessness.

If you regularly smoke cannabis with tobacco, you’re likely to get addicted to nicotine and may
develop tobacco-related illnesses, such as cancer and coronary heart disease. If you cut down
or give up, you will experience withdrawal from nicotine as well as cannabis.

  • Cannabis affects your ability to drive. This is one of the reasons why drug driving, like drink driving, is illegal. One French study found that drivers who had been using cannabis were more than twice as likely to cause a fatal car crash.

  • If you smoke it, cannabis can be harmful to your lungs. Like tobacco, it contains cancer-causing chemicals (carcinogens) that increase your risk of lung cancer. It can also make asthma worse, and cause wheezing in people without asthma. If you mix cannabis with tobacco and smoke it, the risks to your lungs are higher.

  • Cannabis can harm your mental health. Regular use is associated with an increased risk of developing a psychotic illness, such as schizophrenia. A psychotic illness is one where you experience hallucinations (when you see things that aren’t really there) and delusions (when you believe things that aren’t really true). Your risk of developing a psychotic illness is higher if you start using cannabis in your teens and if you have a family history of mental illness. Cannabis use has also been shown to increase the risk of a relapse in people who have schizophrenia, and could make existing symptoms worse.

  • Cannabis may affect your fertility. Research done in animals suggests that cannabis can disrupt sperm production in males and ovulation in females.

  • If you are pregnant, cannabis may harm your unborn baby.Research suggests that using cannabis during pregnancy could affect your baby's brain development. Regularly smoking cannabis with tobacco is associated with an increased risk of your baby being born small or premature.

For the love of Moses. Lol where did you pull that from. So funny.

Unfortunately this 17 almost 18 year old refuses to listen to sound advice,
she gets grumpy at anyone who disagrees with her and those who pamper her
by being understanding and nice, are not doing her any favours.

So far she has posted she has gotten into bother due to her attractiveness, with
things starting up around 12 years of age. Got into porn, likes pot, likes older men,
was attracted to women, doesn't want to finish schooling, doesn't go to church, thinks
she is a Christian. Oh and the only good thing posted, she has fabulous parents.

My worry is that she is going to get herself in a whole lot of trouble
before she sees the problems she is setting up for herself.

For some people unfortunately the only way they learn is via the hard way.

If I was one of her fabulous parents I would be tearing my hair out.

Hi Godslove,

Just a thought, maybe I was wrong to draw attention to the above, but as you
have said you want to put the past behind you. Then you really need to consider
how you are going to do that and want you want to achieve out of life, both personally
and in your walk with God.

There are so many people who talk about change but do nothing about it.
Dont be another "do nothing" person.

Ya'll realize these threads are trolling, right? It's the right age range, they're the right topics... it's the same ole stuff.

honestly, yes I do partake. Though not often...

I do not believe it is a gateway drug unless you want it to be. And it depends on who you keep company with...

I partake with a church friend, after church occasionally. And I've always loved the smell.
I find it to be insightful in many ways. And I believe it is far safer than alcohol. But I don't drive on it, I let it wear off.

Well, at least you're honest. For the kiddo's, it tends to be a gateway drug. For adults, some of us are smarter than that. So i dont doubt you know better than to do the really harsh stuff. To each their own.

I've never touched the harsh stuff. I have a younger relative who got into meth and I've seen and heard its effect, truly evil stuff. Probably about done with weed anyway, started doing it after my divorce. The one I smoked with and I have had a falling out this last week, probably done being around him. Sometimes it takes a while to see people clearly, especially when we don't want to because of similarities of what we've been through. Only did it occasionally so it's not like I'm going to really miss it, I have far more important hobbies on my plate. And we haven't been to church together for a while, i'm thinking this is a good thing. I pray he finds his way through his family issues. Mine are turning out much, much better than a year ago.

some might remember I've discussed what my daughter and I have been through, some of it I wasn't sure she needed to know (her mom's infidelity). she asked me for the whole truth last week, so I told her. She kind of suspicioned it. I was amazed at what she had noticed in the past.

Wooohooo!!!!

Old thread needs to be bumped. I notice you are young - and I notice most of the older people replying (not to generalize ya'll as there are some exceptions) are parroting the Cannabis Propaganda out at some level.

It is good that more young people are realizing the what a bum deal this plant has gotten. Because it competes with a number of industries (most notably the pharma and alcohol industries) - of course it gets a bad rap! It's in direct competition with certain vested interests profits! Not to mention it could replace a lot of paper products and plastic products as well! So um - HELLO! the fight is not going to stop against it - as it has the potential to destroy way too many monopolies. You think that kind of influence isn't going to make into television commercials and whispered into the ears of your law makers and enforcers? Duh! Of course it is!

Would I use it, or do I use it? Oh yes! Not very often, though. I don't care what people say - pot is just not physically addictive. You can get withdrawal symptoms from all kinds of pharma meds and even from alcohol if you drink hard and long enough - but you will not get them from pot. In my younger days I used to use it all the time and when I felt the need to quit it was the easiest thing to quit.

Smoking pot does not ruin your lungs - the smoke actually helps protect your lungs. But if you don't believe that, or don't want to start toking - you don't need to. There are plenty of ways of ingesting it that do not involve smoking and actually give your body a fuller spectrum of the nutrients in the plant than smoking does.

There are people who do not like/want the high - the good news about Cannabis is that with the right knowledge - it's the perfect Gentleman in every respect. There are not only strains that contain 0 to negligible THCA (converts to THC with heat/age) so that it can be ingested with 0 psychoactive effect - but even if you have a strain that has THCA - if you don't heat it or age it you can still consume it (raw) or in a (cold tincture) that won't get you high! In order for that to happen it has to be non-heated and not aged.

So where's the downside? Anyone who has done any research knows it helps in a lot of different ailments and is a super healthy plant. And you actually think that God made this plant with all these benefits only to instruct lawmakers to make it illegal?

Er when? Cannabis was widely legal in the USA prior to the 1930's! What happened - did God change His Mind??

Nah - it's been illegal for all the wrong reasons - and those reasons are almost all financial ones to help protect certain industries.

No. I don't have anything its prescribed for and have never been interested in using it otherwise.
