Mine aren't really so inner... Board games are probably my favourite - quite like the heavy Euro games (if people know the lingo
) - or heavily strategic games that aren't always particularly well themed. (Some examples would be Puerto Rico, Agricola, T'zolkin etc - though T'zolkin isn't a Euro)
Also making a board game at the moment... have tested it a few times but it needs work.
Do play some Magic also... Though I dislike spending much money on it - I've managed to collect an entire set (with multiples of commons/uncommons, but without mythics mostly) so we often just draft that, with our own modified rules - which make it a heck of a lot more interesting.
I'm very wary of magic tbh - It's an awfully addicting game and every time you go into the local board game store you'll see players who have wasted hundreds of dollars on the game. Also pretty much think that Wizards of the Coast are evil. Their products are just designed to be money spinners. (Ie... to make the addicts spend as much as they can, while making the game less fun for people who don't want to spend money on it)
Particularly being in Australia I dislike Wizards - they charge us far higher prices than are charged in the US for no good reason really & suppliers typically aren't allowed to ship their products overseas unopened.
Also quite enjoy strategy computer games... they're fun.
Oh and I'm a history/politics nerd.
Want me to stop?
