Yep, D&D is very dark and addictive. MTG is of course the sequal by the same people. I know someone here is gonna flame me for posting this, but it sums up the TCG/RPG scene rather well!
Click --> Dark Dungeons

As a Christian I can't play those kind of games, too dark. Not to mention most people make it an idol. :p

I knew it wouldnt be long before someone came along. First Magic is not a sequel, it has nothing to do with D&D besides also being based in a fantasy setting and owned by the same parent company(wizards of the coast/Hasbro) It has totally different creators. It's also not satanic or anything dumb like that. But since you brought up dark dungeons lets have some fun with the dark dungeons movie trailer

That tract he linked to was hilarious though. Kind of like "What if Michael Bay made a worst-case-scenario movie about D&D?" :rolleyes:

Years ago my then-husband was big-time into Magic the Gathering and a huge Wizards of the Coast fan in general.

At one point, he actually taught me to play and that's how we used to spend some of our time together.

It's been so long ago, I can't remember any of it. I just know I had some favorite card (A white dragon?? I think?? Sorry, my memory is totally blank with) that I used to use every time I had the chance...

Well, I'm a History nerd. I'm the one remembering historical events and periods in a way that makes people think I've got some kind of diagnosis:D.

Someone arrange for this kid to meet with our very own BananaPie because that is one showdown I wouldn't want to miss. (I believe you but I would have to bet my peanuts on Banana...)

That, and Grace-Like-Rain and Roh_Chris chowing down in the Hot Dog Eating Competition.

The closest experience I ever had to "geeky/nerdiness" was many years ago in high school when me and the other "cool kids" would throw crumpled up laminated periodic tables at nerds in the cafeteria and make their 1% milk drinks spill all over their paper cardboard-covered physics and geometry text books. Then me and the cool kids would laugh like mindless grunts and give each other high fives!!!

I miss the good old days!!!

P.S. If any of those same nerds are here on CC now, then please accept my sincere apologies, and could I have my crumpled up periodic tables back (apparently they are needed to get a diploma, and I will hopefully be graduating high school any year now!!!).

I racked my brain several times for this thread because I feel like I should be a nerd about some things but couldn't remember what..

Then I remembered... I'm a nerd when it comes to photography! :)

(I took these..)

Despite the fact it was a really bad joke, I was forced to like it anyway just for the opportunism displayed.

Sort of the same here.

The closest thing for me is technology. I've worked with/on computers for years. I'm not passionate about them though.
