Jesus of course, said education was important, at least he told Martha this when Mary wanted to sit at his feet and learn, that Mary had chosen the better thing and it should not ever be taken away from her.

Those who arent christlike would argue, like Martha did, that feeding time at the zoo (or home) is more important. While yes its true you cant really learn when you are starving, it never bothered Jesus because the food would be the reward afterward. The hunger for spiritual food takes priority.

So when people deny women this spiritual food, and learning opportunity. what are they really saying, they dont value women? That women are only ever good for cooking up a meal? That women make poor learners?

Note that Mary was WILLING to learn. She made a choice Nobody can force a women or man to learn if they dont want to. If someone wants to stay ignorant, let them, but dont deny those who are willing to learn.

what has been in history was people(men) had this idea that women COULD NOT learn. eg women cant do maths. women cant do science. women cant do this or that..have you ever seen a women do xx. And then laugh oh not of course not. But thats because when were they given the opportunity? Never! But when women do...well guess what, women make brilliant mathematicians, scientists, politicians, doctors and everything else. Just as good if not better than men

why do men feel threatened by this? makes no sense. Women dont go round denying men opportunities, to be loving fathers, to be great chefs etc. So why does it seem men do it to women.

You, Queza, are beautifully and wonderfully made. Don't let yourself be ruined by venturing down the path of feminism. You are NOT in competition with men. Women have their path and their own race, and it's different from that of men. They'll try to tell you that your path is not as important as a man's and how you're nothing if you don't get out there and be like a man. It's a complete lie. Run from anyone tempting you in that way. Resist it with everything you have. I'm serious. Feminism takes God's most awesome and beautiful creation, and turns her into a toxic waste dump of subhuman sludge - because that was the goal of feminism from the very beginning.
But I don't want to remain in my father's house until I get married! I want to be independent and enjoy my life until am ready to marry!

I don't think that means I can't still be a Godly woman. I like running my own household.

for you @EnglishChick miss peregrines home for wayward girls

or an apartment you might have to share with a bunch of odd smelling flatmates if you cant afford to pay the full rent

I saw a lot of independent women in retirement villages when their husbands had died and they had never been single before, and some didnt even know how paying bills worked. The retirment village owners were making a killing from women wanting to be independent.

although in some households the husbands or men who assumed they were heads of it, were the ones doing the killing/abuse, so if you were the unfortunate woman who married a scoundrel that was your lot in life till he died or you got divorced.

and if he died and left you nothing yôu were worse off. some men do that, so marriage wasnt any guarantee.

Feminism is an organized "liberation" movement for women. What they are being liberated from is the main topic of debate.

In America, it has historically been "liberation" from motherhood and all the trimmings associated with it; most importantly, the companion dynamic between man and woman. It has also then meant the corrollary- "liberation" from fatherhood. Both sexes surrenduring to an androgynous, modern paradigm. There should be little shock both things came in vogue before our culture entertains the most absurd and satanic of questions- what is a man/woman?

Complete with genital mutilation no less!

You can be a Christian and a feminist, sure. But you can be a Christian and a dimestore Marxist, a Christian with some racial prejudice, and a Christian and an ancient aliens "theorist." It is by grace you have been saved and through faith He tolerates your attraction to foolishness and vain philosophy.

No great leader in the faith can be a feminist. And if one is both a Christian and a feminist, I would council them to read what the Bible has to say about the sexes and advocate for that in whatever society they live.

Actually there was a house just for independent young single women (not the womans refuge, those are anonymous so their evil ex partners cant find them and abuse them) in New York city called the Barbizon.

Apparently back in the day young single women who wanted to work in New York City and be independent stayed at the Barbizon, it was kind of like a hotel or boarding house and men were not allowed to live there or sleep over. Many young women stayed there until they got married, but some stayed there indefinitely and didnt get married.

They had the city at their doorstep and lots of job opportunities. and they were looked after by a concierge and staff.

There is nothing like that in my city, maybe you could stay at a backpackers or YHA. YMCA or YWCA was actually a christian youth association but it seems to have fallen over and not the safe refuge for fledgling independents it once was. YMCA has now become associated with the gay scene because of the song.

What it is? Is it a bad thing or a good one? Is it possible to be a Christian and a feminist? I am curious lol coz I heard so much about it....🤔
Not sure if this has been stated yet or not, but...

Modern feminism, at least here in America, is not about women's rights or the equitable treatment of women. It's about women abandoning femininity and becoming like men. Plain and simple.

Sometimes I’m wondering... I have never heard of a lady thinking that a man holding the door for her is offensive. I’ve read about it, but I’ve never heard of no lady actually holding that opinion.😁

I think it’s so sweet when a man is holding the door for me.🤗 Sometimes it makes me blush and I can’t hold back a smile. It really makes my day.

So all y’all gentlemen, keep holding the door for the ladies and give us a smile while you’re at it.😀
Most women get angry when you hold doors open for them. The only time i do is if its going to slam right in their faces because of the timing-wind and they still get mad. So i dont do it if possible.

These days many premises have automatic sliding doors so there is no longer that door problem.
It works in the cities where everyone is always going in and out of places all the time.

Some places still have those revolving doors.

I knew a hard-charging gal in high school who would get visibly upset if a man opened a door for her.

I wonder if time has softened her or made her more insufferable.

holding doors is one thing when your hands are full but dont be a snake and offer to hold a ladies handbag then proceed to steal out of her purse like one guy I knew.

No I can carry it myself thank you. You just need you open the door so I can walk through. But the good thing about having shoulders is...they work with bags that have long enough straps. Kinda like bras.

I could never understand guys who made a huge deal of lifting heavy stuff and THEN complain their backs hurt...when they didnt know the right way to lift a heavy object (and sometimes it requires two people or a trolley) that puzzled me why they would show off.

it seems to me that people dont know the right way to hold a bag. The problem with bags is some of them are highly impractical. Its easier to carry a box.

ok with handbags the stupid thing with them is if they cant go over your shoulder what is the point of having them. Do you want to be lumped having to carry a bag and then. have only one hand free to do everything else.

And..for any sewings designers out there especially if you are sewing garments for women make sure you incorporate POCKETS.

How hard can it be to sew a pocket into a skirt or dress. Mens trousers always have pockets, so why cant women. Do we have to buy yet another bag to put our keys etc in, or just always fish them out of our bras?

I don't mind when a man holds a door open for me. As a disabled woman I often need strong people to do things for me, and men tend to be stronger physically. However, I also see nothing wrong with opening a door or pulling out a chair for a man, either . When am having a good day and am able to do these things, I have no issue doing them for anyone, be they make or female

As men and women are one in Christ I don't see the need to fret about gender roles biblical the only gender roles that count are about wives being submissive to husbands and whether a woman should or should not teach men in church ( and even there I'm not 100% convinced that is valid today. I don't know).

I don't think God has an issue with whitewashed the dishes or whether a woman is an engineer or votes or whatever . Of course I don't know for sure but I don't think our faith needs a lot of rules and prohibitions . We are told to love God and others and Rooney the great commission and the command!ends . I don't think we need anything else . The rest is just personal conviction

I had this book in the library, its called Love your body...its for girls because sadly, many girls have very poor body images of themselves.

It encourage girls to be positive about their bodies and to be thankful that they have amazing bodies that can do amazing things, and that girls have different types of bodies.

Boys dont have it as bad as girls where they are CONSTANTLY judged on their appearance and body shape.
I wish it werent so, but mothers can be just as bad, and even cause girls to develop eating disorders because they tell them they are too fat or whatever. Some girls starve themselves TO DEATH because of this. seriously.

I think that anyone disabled (male or female) does appreciates help that is given and no one person can do EVERYTHING by themselves. If men and women can work together thats amazing.

I dont really like seeing boys go off in one group, reject girls, and the same with girls, saying boys keep out, but this is what tends to happen as children grow up. Then they start having ideas that only boys do this and only girls do that.

Must be something very off with your door holding methods???😁

I’m just kidding. Most ladies find it adorable, so I’m a little curious about the women who have disappointed you.
