I still have sleep issues. I'm coping with it. All these inputs do help when I read them. It's like a phase for me. It comes and goes. I have to get ahold of my life and find enough rest to live the life I want to live. Keeping awake night time is not good for the body or the mind. Thanks again for sharing. This is very helpful.
Tried warm milk and honey before bedtime? That actually works well. And I was a buddhist some years ago, and did meditation. There is a sleepthing there. Lay down in bed, lift your arms and feel their weight, observe/focus on it, this does make you tired. You can use feet too, but I find that arms works best. Becoming awere of the weight of the limbs is also interesting, we never really notice it whie walking around daily

I practice Tai chi, so I know the what the weight of the arms can do. I sort of understand what you mean. In fact, I do stretch my arms out some days while lying down and pray. I'll try this. Thank you friend :)

Some doctors say insomniacs should count sheep if they have trouble sleeping, but I personally find this quite exhausting. The sheep have a bad habit of trying to escape from the pen, and then it's work, work, work to get the stupid creatures back inside before a wolf or some other evil beast comes to devour them. Even if you do manage to fall asleep, you'll awake a mess of nerves and sweat worrying for the safety of those simple creatures.

No, the doctors have it wrong. If insomniacs want to sleep, they should count goats. Goats are similar to sheep, but have some sort of antlers with which the rowdier ones will try to attack other creatures - or even each other. Typically, I only need to count to several ill-tempered nanny-goats, and if the pen is small enough, they'll be butting each other before you can say "Capra aegagrus". After this point, it's only a short amount of time before the goats notice who else is in the pen, and sleep will surely follow shortly thereafter. The only downside with this method is the headache one wakes with afterward.
