I'm really sad that my Playstation portable stopped working. I lost the ability to play video games after they added the "B" button. Favorite board game is Avalon. Favorite card game is Solitaire.

Oh yes, you couldn't have an NES without the Super Mario Bros series. Too bad they didn't have saving back then, though. We would try to leave ours on for hours not to loose our progress. Probably helped wear the thing out sooner.
Or worse yet poweroutage or game freezes up

Ocarina of time was the one I really loved, though I didn't get to play the one you describe. I played the ones on the first Nintendo too. Not as fancy but not as heavily steeped in paganism. I rather felt disappointed on one of the old ones, though, that you were supposed to go find out the secret path through the forest. Well, wouldn't you know that I found it by accident just by screwing around exploring early on. Rather spoiled it.
The only thing I hated about adventures of link Zelda 2 was death mountain and how illequipt you are for the mountain

Ooooh, if Zelda got too pagan...

Yeah, no, you should never play Chrono Cross - where the main bad guy lives in the Sea of Eden, accessed through the Pearly Gates - or Final Fantasy 10 - where the main bad guy is a big monster called Sin, and the local church has something to do with the cycle of his defeat and rebirth every ten years - and I'm not even going to discuss a cheerful game called Blasphemous.

So to engage in more lighthearted subject matter… 😅

I myself like chess which then naturally moves into my favourite genre of PC / video games that being strategy games.

I have a plethora of favourite strategy games. Command and Conquer Red Alert series, StarCraft and The Lord Of The Rings Battle For Middle Earth 2

I also like crafting games such as Portal Knights, Craftopia to name a few.

With respect to board games most of the classics: monopoly, snakes and ladders etc.

Red Alert 2 was so campy and it's expansion set Yuri's Revenge 😅

Did you ever play Mental Omega which was a massive mod of Yuri's Revenge and a retelling of Red Alert 2 and Yuri's Revenge was a fantastic retelling.

I don't know if this will count, but I have fond memories of my family playing CandyLand.

I believe we had the 1970's version, and as a kid, I wished the board and all its treats would come to life, because I wanted to dig right in!

"Gum Drop Pass" was always my favorite.

But for as cheery and bright as all that candy appeared, I always suspected that the house at the end had a Hansel and Gretel vibe. As much as I wanted to win, I was also convinced a wicked witch was waiting there to gobble me up.
