* What Christmas treats do you look forward to most?

Homemade chex mix
Kolachkis
Pinwheels
Eggnog
Kahlua sours

* What events do you look forward to that involve making/sharing those treats? (Baking cookies with Grandma; a special holiday potluck or family get-together, family members preparing specific dishes, etc.)

Baking tons of cookies, breads, kolachkis for friends and neighbors. Filling those christmas tins is so much fun!!

* What treats do YOU specialize in making? Pictures are always welcome!! :D

I bake all the above mentioned!!

Someone say baking bread? :D :D :D

And chickwithsticks hit the nail on the head. When I give some people a loaf of bread they say "Yay!" or something to that effect. That's what I live for, that yay.

I read the thread. I read bread. But thread in bread is dead, said Fred. Fibre, yes, thread, no.

All this good-sounding food (even cannoli and kolachki sound good... and I have no idea what they are) but I'm too tired to imagine eating it.

As I'm traveling this Christmas, I won't be doing any baking, but I'll be helping the chef(s) make room for more. :)

If you go through west Tennessee let me know bro. I can give you a loaf. Shoot, if it's not too far away I can even meet you en route.

Hey Peeps,

This thread title is a mash-up of Will Smith's "Gettin' Jiggy With It" (which was playing on the radio the other day), and the line, "Now Bring Us Some Figgy Pudding" from "We Wish You a Merry Christmas" (which was playing at the gym today.)

* What Christmas treats do you look forward to most?

* What events do you look forward to that involve making/sharing those treats? (Baking cookies with Grandma; a special holiday potluck or family get-together, family members preparing specific dishes, etc.)

My parents are very health-conscious, so baking "real" cookies was never an option. However, I did look forward to making (and eating) these most every year (no-bake cornflake "cookies"):

About 2 years ago, I got a hankerin' for those bad boys... and made them out of "Total" cereal flakes instead, trying to convince myself that they'd be more "healthy" that way. :D

What about you?

Tell us about all the ways that you and your family "Get Figgy With It!" :p
Whenever our family has major get-togethers we almost always have this dish called Chicken Relleno (pronounced 'relyeno'). They somehow debone the chicken without cutting or breaking the skin. Obviously some kind of high-level witchcraft involved... (it may be evil, but its also delicious!)
