When I was a kid/teen, I spent far too many hours dreaming what I'd do when I became rich. I wasn't a Christian then, so my interests have changed some....
I'd start by securing my family's housing and financial needs. I'd consider funding some endowments for education and support for people with needs, and see about starting some business enterprises to get people supporting themselves... here and overseas.
And maybe buy a few things for myself. I am looking for a drill press....
I worked for a while in a social-service agency. I saw some need and a lot of mooching/fraud. The support some people need is a kick in the behind, not a handout. I'd be far more inclined to help people with genuine needs and push them to identify the difference between that and "felt needs".
