4. Grace-Like-Rain. She has such a sweetness about her! Who wouldn't want to sit down and have a cup of coffee with her?
Lil, I can't tell you how much this lifted my spirits. I had a bad day and was feeling sorry for myself when I came in here and saw this. You are a blessing to me. Thanks for making me smile! I would absolutely love having coffee with you! *hugs*

Kim,

Yes, the two CC-get-together that I'm aware of were one in CO before Alayna's wedding and then at Alayna's wedding. There was also one in Canada for Canadian CCers.

Last year, I went to TX to hang-out with Reinitin, a CCer from chat. The original plan was to meet some CCers in TX who have become my friends, but our schedules were off. Bummer!

It's also true that one get-together got cancelled at the last minute because some of the peeps were like, MIA afterwards. Bummer.

I'd be willing to meet up with lots of people on here. I've met 4 or 5 people off of here before, and even had one stay at my house multiple times (though she's not on here anymore).

lil_christian: No no no, the original "Secret life of Walter Mitty" is a short story, not a novel. Follow that link and you can read the whole thing in ten minutes. Maybe fifteen if you're a slow reader.

And it doesn't have any PG13 language. Another thing about the movie that probably has James Thurber spinning like a helicopter rotor.

Of course, mate. You're on many people's CC catch-up for coffee lists. Mine's almost as long as my To Read list! :p

The one get together that Alayna set up here in CO was decent with seven or eight that showed up primarily from here on the Front Range. Unfortunately Alayna's wedding didn't turn out to be much of a CC get together since I was the only CC'er to show up.

From what I've seen over the years the only CC get togethers that work out tend to be small scale (fewer people = fewer schedules to coordinate). There's a couple of threads in the Announcements forum from people who tried to set up large scale meet ups that all flopped.

I know for myself there is a list of CC'ers that I would love to meet if my travels ever take me to their part of the country and a longer list of those I would love to meet if I were able to travel internationally.

Banana and Once, thank you so much for clarifying :).

I have met one CC'er several years ago and we still keep in touch and have been trying to coordinate a visit with another internationally but it's never come through.

Hopefully there will be more meetups in the future... I'm saving my appetite for a couple of multi-day feasts :).

Martin Luther King

and Michael Jackson because I would want to ask him if his nose was real or not.

I see. I remember the photos from the CO CC fellowship, and the video from Alayna's wedding, but I'm now learning that none of the CCers showed up contrary to what they had said in chatroom. :(

There was also Grace, Catlyn, Dutches & Shouryu get-together in TX. :)
...and a few other ants-go-marching-2x2-Hurrah!-Hurrah! Those CCers eventually married.

Fortunately, there's no danger in me marrying anyone I meet because I'm not even allowed to date till I'm 30. :D

...and once upon a time, in a far away land, there lived a Moose who befriended a Banana over a cup of coffee at Panera Bread...

*Reads Banana's story.*

Is hoping there is a nice, single Elk, Bison, or even Water Buffalo out there who might want to meet Seoulsearch over a good cup of coffee... or preferably, a large buffet. :D

A 6'5" Brazilian woman, with a dark, creamy, caramel complexion, thick hazel brown hair, deep, passionate eyes, picturesque smile, killer legs, with velvet pumps.

You said with anyone... Well, I chose to describe her. :p

What on earth are pumps? Besides the plumbing variety. I'm 6'5, but I'm also not a woman. :p
