P.S. I did read the post in which it was stated the Filipinos are supposedly not beautiful and was a bit too shocked to even feel enough motivation to make a decent reply.

First of all, ALL people are beautiful to God. We have to be very careful in judging others' appearance. If God made choices based on looks alone, David would have never become king (Samuel felt that surely David's older brother was the candidate... not this puny, ruddy little shepherd boy who was so overlooked that his father didn't even bother calling him in for the lineup.)

Secondly, anyone who thinks Filipinos are ugly should have seen the family I was married into. My ex-mother-in-law looks better than most women in their 20's. My ex-husband (half Filipino) had 8-pack abs and literally looked like a movie star (everywhere we went, people told him he looked like Brandon Lee--Bruce Lee's son). We went to Chicago a few times because a model scout had chosen him as a potential candidate.

His older sister (full Filipino) WAS a model... She was even chosen to do some modeling in Japan, and Japan isn't exactly known for its substandard choices when it comes to interpretations of beauty.

Heh, heh... so maybe I'M the racist one for thinking Filipinos are beautiful!!! :D

Thanks so much, Kim! All this love here is making me not even want to take a break ha! :D But I think maybe I should because I have this feeling that God led me to a certain scripture last night and it calls me to start reorganizing my life, so I think part of that is to re-evaluate my goals and priorities and that to me means that I need to distance myself a bit from CC because I am starting to let things here get to me personally and they shouldn't. This is supposed to be a fun friendly place, not a battleground of beliefs or a debate competition.

Ok, so everyone be good and don't worry I am not leaving yet. Just taking a breather ;)

And to all those of you that I didn't reply to directly...I did read your posts and believe me your words mean a lot to me! Thank you!!

Hi all

Let us all WILL TO WALK IN GOD'S LOVE, and this includes replying forum posts with respect and tolerance for each other. If we as believers can't walk in unity, how can we share the love of God to unbelievers? :)

C'mon, let's challenge one another to love one another as Jesus loves, and with God's guidance, many unbelievers will come to know Him through this website!

We all should stay, someone feeling driven to leave is the ultimate failing of a Christian community.
I know what happened touched a nerve with you, quite understandably so, but in the wider context you have only one reason to leave, and probably hundreds to stay.

Thanks so much you guys! I'm not leaving. All the wonderful caring people here have reminded me why I'm really here. :) I'm just going to take a short break from posting on the forums. Thats why my avatar says "I'll be back" :) Sorry I made you guys worry. God bless.

I totally understand if you need a break for a few days, though I will miss the laughs you bring to us. :) I know that several of us have felt the need to take a break recently and have not been posting as much as we once did.

We DO need to continue to pray against the oppressive spirits that seem to have invaded. The Bible discussion forums can get pretty rowdy sometimes, but I don't know that I've even seen people calling one another names and/or making rude remarks even there simply because of a difference of opinion regarding a thing. Perhaps some of those who are behaving this way are simply spiritually immature and don't understand that we are held accountable when we speak such things.

Hold on and continue to share your heart and humor with us, Gabe! We truly love you!

I will miss you, Zeroturbulence, but I totally understand the need for a break. The Lord knows best, after all! But, do you suppose, could you maybe post us a kitteh picture every now and then, just so we know you're still around? :) Love you, brother! We know you're not a racist! ;)

I haven't seen the thread you are talking about, but am sure there must have been a misunderstanding for anyone to have made such a remark. I just can't imagine. God does not let the Enemy (Satan!) take an individual under his deathly control unless...He (God) knows that person can get through it. Like I said earlier, I decided to stay and not leave. And I'm sorry that I made you guys worry. I didn't realize how much you all cared. Its almost too much :)
