Thanks very much for the word of encouragement.
I have to say though that of course, there are two sides to everything, and I can openly admit to be an equally (and at times, exceedingly) recalcitrant woman.
When I first came to CC, I was like many singles--disappointed, bitter, depressed, and anxiously praying to find THE ONE as soon as humanly possible.
But that, of course, was my whole issue. I was thinking in human terms (my own) rather than God's.
Over the years, God has helped me find a lot more peace, and I'm really grateful for CC and a place for us singles to gather. I think most singles will say the hardest part about being single is feeling alone and not having anyone to share their life with or talk to at the end of the day.
I know that cyberspace can never replace real life, but I truly believe it's a medium that we can all put to God's use. It's not the same as having someone there in person, but I know that for my own life, having a regular place to go with all kinds of discussions, interesting topics, and fascinating people sharing about their lives and experiences has made an enormous difference, and I hope it does for others as well.
This is why I spend so much time writing threads, and I hope others will as well. By giving each other questions and topics to talk about, it helps us to feel not so alone.
