Some of the guys seemed a bit apprehensive though... I wanted to say, "It's just a rose, not a marriage proposal!" :p Lucky for them, I left my "Just In Case" emergency wedding dress at home that day.
I know I would have been creeped out...just sayin'
That's just because you don't like flowers.

If I would have been standing there with a fancy piece of sound equipment or something shiny that goes VROOM, you would have beaten me to the altar, guaranteed!!

I can't argue with you on that one. What can I say? I am what I am.

I LOVE this! Truly, truly love this. :) <3

My mom and stepdad got a divorce back in late 2012. It was his decision, she didn't want it. Anyways, that first Valentine's Day (2013) after the divorce, my brother and I took her out to dinner and got her flowers. We continued doing this for three years now. So I'm guessing that's what we'll be doing this year too. We don't want her to feel bad on that day because of the divorce.

But she usually has a great time. She's a strong lady! It also helps my brother and I feel better that we at least have family to celebrate it with. My brother has been hurt in the past by exes as have I once. So it's good to spend it with family. ;)

I wanted to add that Vday doesn't have to be just about romantic love. I think it's a celebration of love in general: God's love for us, our love for Him, family love, friendship love...etc. If you don't have a romantic relationship, it's okay. You can celebrate all the other kinds of love this life has to offer!

I was thinking the other night about years past and how I celebrated Valentine's Day. Most often, the day ended up with me getting in a huge fight with whatever gal I was dating or married to. I'm not a romantic man by any stretch of the imagination, so a woman getting flowers from me wasn't seen as a good thing - it was just a way for them to remind me of how I am not romantic the other 364 days of the year. Meh. I'm better off single. Maybe I'll take myself to a movie on the 14th.

How ungrateful when you get flowers.
Flowers lol. My dad told my sister: Don't bother to buy her (me) flowers. She just lets them rot away.
Hahahahahahaha he bought me flowers and I forgot all about it, just had a baby, so he came a few days later and they were still laying outside without water on the trash can. Women are just ungrateful beings hahahahaha.

The big variety boxes of chocolates will be on discount the 15th, so at least I'll be able to stock up on tasty goodies.

I really would like to have a girlfriend this Valentine's day but I don't even know what I'd do with one.

Like what do you do, just kiss her and then leave her alone in a corner?

How often does it eat?

Just feed her a few boxes of chocolate and all will be fine.

Valentines day is lame...just a way for the corporations to make money off merchandise....if you really love somebody you would have Valentines day 24/7 365 and they would know you love them by your actions not material things....just my opinion....Love is real when people stick with you through tough times not just the good....
