I think I read that story in my children's bible as a kid, but I had no clue what a foreskin was at the time so I just read that Saul tried to get David killed but David was super awesome and killed twice as many enemies as required.

And people get offended when there's violence in movies and books, yet here is gorey disturbing stuff in the Bible lol.

Lol. When I read the passage as a child, I knew enough to know it was some sort of skin flap removed from males, but I couldn't understand why something so obnoxious seemed worth so much - 200 to buy a princess?!? I couldn't imagine what king Saul wanted to do with them. I think I ended up imagining that the Israelites must have dried them and used them as currency. :eek:

Come on, man! They're Philistines. Similar to the stormtroopers on Star Wars. You can kill hundreds of them and hardly anyone will even notice. ;-)
