That she can do that in the first video is pretty cool

I want to see what a girl looks like without makeup, because sometimes the difference is like two different people lol, but I have no problem with makeup. Whether it's used to cover up or simply because she likes the way she looks with it, I say go for it. :)

I hardly wear makeup. YES I KNOW you see my eyes done on here, however I really do not do more than mascara on most days and light blush so I do not look to pale. I have friends who cake it on and then ruin my towels when they visit me. I have a cousin who spends 3 hours on just makeup and she gets upset when I say you look just as nice without it.

I believe makeup is to enhance what God gave us.

That being said in the case of people with scars etc., I understand that they want to feel as beautiful as they were before the world scared them up.

Al and all if you are happy with yourself with or without makeup that is all that matters.

I definitely prefer a woman with make-up, especially to accentuate the eyes. I don't like rouge caked all over the face, that's over-kill, but I've never seen a woman who looked better with no make-up.

On a serious note, this is an interesting thread Kim, thank you for sharing those videos. My answer may not be the one most want to hear, but I am just speaking from my heart.

My first girlfriend had a birthmark on her face. Granted it was not a port-wine stain and it was not as big as the woman in the video, but it was still a blemish. Nonetheless, I found her beautiful and I did tell her many times that I preferred her without makeup or concealers (or whatever you use to hide them).

My second girlfriend used to have acne on her face around the time of her periods. Although she complained a lot, she never felt insecure about our relationship. And, I found her attractive even when she had a few acne spots on her spots.

So, my position on women wearing makeup depends on the reason for wearing it. It is fine if it is going to be a work of art or if you are doing it because you like to do it, but if you are using makeup only to cover your facial blemishes, then I'd rather you not do it. You are beautiful the way you are. It may be better to get the birthmark or acne treated rather than use makeup to cover it.

This is just my opinion. :)

Hey Jeni, have you noticed your avatar?
Okay, I did read your post. I just wanted to annoy you before someone else did.
Here you go Chris...my eyes at the present tired state with mascara and a top line of eyeliner, nothing else today. :p 20160322_150837_HDR-1-1.jpg

I just felt compelled, before you know someone asked!!!

i don't wear make up. in high school, i noticed a red blemish under my bottom lip. now, was it there all my life? idk lol. it wasn't until high school that i saw it. i remember wondering if i should use something to cover it up. but now, i'm like nah. it does get a little bad during the cold season (super dry patch), but i just massage lotion on it, and i'm good.

i'm not against make up at all. for me, i'm lazy about it. lol.

I enjoy makeup. It's just a way to be a little creative, no deep rooted meaning behind it. Some days I want winged liner and a red lip, some days I feel like a shimmery nude eye and blush, or maybe just tinted moisturizer, highlight, and lip balm.

Let's all face it, guys have moles, skin discolorations, and sometimes get acne too.

In all honesty, I've always wondered if they ever wished for a socially acceptable way they could cover these things, too.

I never did give a fart in a whirlwind about it. That may be just me though. Other guys may be different.

The first guy I ever dated had some acne scars and he was sooooo self conscious about them...he noticed it way more than anyone else did. But it really messed with his confidence at times.

I don't wear make-up, really. Except a little bit of concealer during a bad breakout/to hide my raccoon eyes if I'm going to an event where I know pictures will be taken (basically I wear concealer once every 5-8 months xD). And I wear a very slightly reddish-pink tinted Carmex every once in a while.

But mostly just Burt's Bees. (I like the original Burt's Bees because the peppermint oil stimulates blood flow to the lips and makes them redder naturally, instead of using fake color.)

I never really liked make-up or perfumes. It always kind of seemed fake to me. I think if a woman is confident in how she looks, she doesn't need that stuff. I'm probably wrong, but makeup just looks funny to me and most perfume or even a lot of stuff like body lotions or body sprays give me a headache.

Now, in this second video, please understand that it also doubles as a commercial for a professional makeup artist.

However, I chose this specific video because this was very much what my skin looked like in high school without makeup. Sometimes it was much worse. My end result wasn't looking like a model, of course, but the end demonstration of the illusion I could create with makeup is very similar.

I had a healthy lifestyle and took good care of my skin and physical well-being. We all know that the cause of acne is different for different people, and for me, it turns out I had an imbalance that the doctors didn't think about testing until I was in my early 30's. Today my skin looks much better, but I still have some spots and marks I like to smooth out. Someone I once met from CC commented on the fact that I "don't wear makeup", but the truth is, I wear it every day if I will be seen by other people.

I know how much skin problems can be painful, both physically and emotionally. My mother was regularly ridiculed in high school, and it makes me angry that people were so quick to judge a condition she couldn't help.

Whenever I see people around me whom I know are suffering with skin problems, it brings out a very soft place in my heart, and I always try to pray for them.

What do you think of the results?

One of the reasons I'm making this post is because I hope that if I should meet a special someone, he'll understand why such things are important to me, and why I'm spending the money on them. (I can't use the things in the drugstore--they just make my skin worse. I found out I have to buy better quality brands, and what I use costs about $100 and will last about 8 months, sometimes up to a year.)

I would NEVER ask him to buy it for me. I would just work and earn the money myself. But, I would greatly appreciate his support as to why I chose to do this for myself.

What are your thoughts, comments, and reactions to seeing these two videos?

I like the one on the left better... just sayin'. I've always been different, though. I like natural beauty. It's been like 1 in a thousand women that I think looks better in make-up than without it... and that may even be on the generous side of guestimationz...

I was actually gonna make a comment on this : p How many women would be okay with their men using make up?

There are things I hate about my face, and in my past life I used it often. I left that behind when I came to Christ though, and I have also stopped caring about my face as much as I used to.

And my opinion, even if a girl has blemishes and all that, I still am not attracted to make up, and would definitely prefer to be with one who didnt use it.

If a guy has blemishes that make him uncomfortable, I would never fault him for wanting to discreetly cover them up.
