Some people just don't like hospitals, some can't afford it, and some are just plain stubborn in their denial. And then there are those that are a mixture of the three.

Its probably the advise he got from his chiropracter, lol.

Put some Silver Nitrate and some coconut oil on it, along with 12 essential oils for detox.

Hey, don't knock natural medicine. Some of it does work. I'm a strong believer that one needs to use both holistic as well as modern day practices. Some things, like allergies or colds, do not necessarily require a doctor's help. Other things, such as a gun shot to the head, well maybe you should highly consider going to the ER.

Yup! Though I haven't been to an actual doctor in years (it hasn't been necessary. It really hasn't), since I was 11.

This is one of the few articles on here that has made me double over with laughter.

"The foundation of the house is cracking... Honey! Where did I put the Elmer's glue?"

There are some aspects that I don't agree with at all. Hence the reason I said both Holistic and Modern medicine.

Holistic medicine has its place, but it's featured much too prominently most of the time. Things like garlic, ginger, sodium bicarbonate, etc have proven to be worth something. But many, MANY holistic cures are just snake oil.

And common western medicine is based off of old apothecary cures. I'm all for fewer chemicals and what not, but what bothers me is people who won't go to the doctor because of their hubris. Or they think some old woman from the congo knows more about medicine and the human body than someone who spent 12 years studying things that are proven to work.

The body is designed to repair itself, and for the most part, it does a wonderful job. However, because of the Fall of man, we're not going to be able to fix everything. Holistic medicine doesn't offer as many answers as western medicine; however, combining the two is acceptable. Well... sometimes. There are things that occur naturally which can't be mixed with western meds.

Which is why you should ALWAYS tell your doctor which vitamins/minerals you're taking.

I have not taken vitamins in years and perhaps I should resume this practice. I drink OJ though so I am on the right track.
