Princess Bride

Laura

any Alfred Hitchcock film - except for Torn Curtain. Julie Andrews in non-singing roles kind of bugs me.

Young Frankenstein

Pleasantville

Fantasia (original)

Prince of Egypt

Incredibles

A Tree Grows in Brooklyn

Avengers

those old Sinbad movies with the cheesy animation

Godfather I & II

Wonderful choices Grace, your diverse appreciation of the arts is second only to the quality of your tasteful selections. I don't know if you knew this, but I sometimes offer my opinion as "cinematic denigration" to the Hollywood elite, producers, directors, et al, and you probably knew I studied at Julliard and I wrote the below piece regarding one of your choices - "the Proposal" for your reading pleasure...

Your way with words borders on "hauntingly poetic" here, Mr. Thomas. :rolleyes:

The Princess Bride

Iron Man 1-3 (Tony Stark as a small piece of my heart)

The Avengers

The LOTR Trilogy

Steel Magnolias

Gone With the Wind

And I'm sure there are others, but my mind is drawing a blank. I love classic movies and pay for TCM so I can catch them.

The Incredibles

Not movie, but I love the pilot of Raising Hope. I've watched it about a dozen times and laughed my head off every time.

I'm really not someone that enjoys rewatching movies, but there are some that I can put on and watch. I think they are just comfort movies because they are for the most part what I grew up with.

* Pride and Prejudice
* Little Women
* Anne of Green Gables
* Leap Year

Pretty much anything Pixar animated: Megamind, The Incredibles, Kung Fu Panda, How to Train Your Dragon, Monsters Inc...the list goes on. They make awesome movies. There's only a few I don't care for.

Hmmm, 3 pages already and no one went on a tirade about how sinful movies are. What is this place coming to? :eek:

Half of those are Dreamworks but yes, they're very good movies.

SHHHH! Not so loud, you'll get the bible discussion screamers in here!

Quote from a Foxtrot cartoon:
"I'm going to make a movie called "Finding Hemo" about a father leech's search for his missing son."
"Wouldn't that be a blatant rip-off of Pixar?"
"Yeah, so?"
"Isn't that Dreamworks' territory?"
"Oh, yeah... don't want to tick them off."

Maths fail! Half of those are Dreamworks? But there are only five movies listed. Okay, three of those are Dreamworks and two of them are Pixar movies.

Oooh, well. Apparently I don't know my movies well. I should never assume! I thought they worked together.

No worries, my dear sister. Still, you have good taste in movies. :)
