If you take different versions of the same test on different sites, your margin of error drops significantly. I've taken different versions of the test on at least 4 different sites, all of them with the same results, albeit different percentages. How do you know if the assessment is accurate? Read your personality description. If you're nodding your head and smiling, or possibly crying, I'm sure it's probably accurate.
If I already know the answer, why ask the question?

Crying?

I've taken this before and just took it again; I was given INTP(The Logician) both times lol. It's not totally accurate, but it's pretty accurate. I'll post some of the descriptions.. INTP Personality (“The Logician”) | 16Personalities

- They love patterns, and spotting discrepancies between statements could almost be described as a hobby, making it a bad idea to lie to an INTP.
- Restless and pervasive fear of failure.
- Great analysts, imaginative, honest/straightforward
- Private/withdrawn, insensitive, 2nd guessing/non-committal
- Take relationships seriously, loyal, but social plans/date nights unimportant
- Not easy to become good friends with INTPs, better at solutions than emotional support
- Solitary, eccentric, independent, hard for people-centric types to understand, need freedom

If you know the answer, what is it?
If you know the answer, don't want to share it, and you're in this thread...

Yes, crying. It was an ENFP-related self-deprecating joke about personal dysfunctionality and self-realization.

But you probably guessed that.

:) My best husband and my best friend were both INTPs. I understand this type well.

I would like to say that's because Myers-Briggs is completely unscientific and considered a joke by most academics... but I won't say that because it will probably offend everyone.
: )

But I WILL say this: if God made each you guys infinitely complex, amazing, and unique... why would you want to toss all that uniqueness out the window, and rush to stick a tiny, limiting, label on yourself?

Before the test you were fascinating, wonderful, unique individuals; and after the test you're all alike... you're just a little label, deciding for you what you are and what you aren't.

I'm not trying to be mean.
I'm really not.
I just think people should give these things more consideration.
I think each of you are unique and wonderful... and none of you fit neatly into a box or label.
Try to enjoy just being the unique, and completely original person God made you to be.
Each of you are a lot more than a label.
Really.

Would the test be more scientific if it came with a free ice cream sundae?

I mean, it might be.

Some people feel that way about it, but I personally find the test to be extremely accurate in my case. I was reading out loud the description of an ENFP coping in a hierarchy and my brother, who was standing nearby, exclaimed, "That describes you perfectly!" and I agreed with him strongly. Are the tests 100% accurate? No, and no one ever said they were. But sometimes a personality test draws attention to things about yourself that you hadn't been able to put into words before.

pretty much an INFP here.

Every time I've tested, I have been an IN _ _. The "FP" part isn't that far into the quadrant, but the "IN" part is pretty solid.

To be fair, I don't think that *most* of the people here who took the test take it as anything more than a few minutes of entertainment :)

I think it's perfectly fine as entertainment.
: )

I just know some people who take it very seriously... and then you end up limiting yourself with that label.

I just want everyone to remember they're unique, and that they're more original and complex than a label or a test.

That's all.

This ^. I don't think anyone is taking it too seriously or treating it like a label that totally defines who we are lol. If anything, it's nothing more than just for fun and in some of our cases, even if by accident, has some accuracy to it. It's just a personality test .
