This ^. I don't think anyone is taking it too seriously or treating it like a label that totally defines who we are lol. If anything, it's nothing more than just for fun and in some of our cases, even if by accident, has some accuracy to it. It's just a personality test .
And the celebs list is hysterical...

pretty much an INFP here.

Every time I've tested, I have been an IN _ _. The "FP" part isn't that far into the quadrant, but the "IN" part is pretty solid.
For me the NF is firm, the I/E and P/J but typically INFP

I would like to say that's because Myers-Briggs is completely unscientific and considered a joke by most academics... but I won't say that because it will probably offend everyone.
: )

But I WILL say this: if God made each you guys infinitely complex, amazing, and unique... why would you want to toss all that uniqueness out the window, and rush to stick a tiny, limiting, label on yourself?

Before the test you were fascinating, wonderful, unique individuals; and after the test you're all alike... you're just a little label, deciding for you what you are and what you aren't.

I'm not trying to be mean.
I'm really not.
I just think people should give these things more consideration.
I think each of you are unique and wonderful... and none of you fit neatly into a box or label.
Try to enjoy just being the unique, and completely original person God made you to be.
Each of you are a lot more than a label.
Really.
: )
I definitely think something like this CAN limit our view of ourselves if we let it. Then again, it's also a very useful tool in understanding how we (and others, which is even more useful) think, feel and operate. And since I care a whole lot about how others think, feel and operate (I know cuz Briggs and Myers told me ;) ) this is pretty interesting to me.

The last time I took this test, quite a few years ago, my result was INTJ. The personality description fits me fairly well, although I wouldn't say it's entirely accurate.

My results were, "I'm Sorry, But You Have No Personality."

Just kidding. I took it the last time a CC'er wrote a thread that included a different version of this test and was listed as one of the rarest personality types.

I took it this time and it listed me as one of the most popular personality types, such as something a cheerleader might have.

NO NO NO. That's just NOT me AT ALL. And I'm pretty sure I haven't changed that much, and I'm pretty sure I'm not bipolar.

Therefore, I'm thinking they should just rename the entire shebang... such as, "The Myers-RIGGED Personality Test."

I took this as a class requirement last year and had to find the paper in my file cabinet and I am ISFJ. It was used to find out what type of career was best for us to pursue and my current major is right on top of positions right for my personality type. I will be honest it scared me when it said I was judging because I try so hard not to judge others, but as I read the description it said that I prefer a planned or organized approach to life and it is very true for me.

Hahaha oh the Meyers Briggs test.

Took it the first time and it said I was an ISTJ
Took it a second time in a good mood and I became an ESTJ...

Go figure :p I'll allow God to lead me and show me how to approach things and what to do :)

Some articles in INTERNATIONAL MEDIA about reliability of Meyers-Briggs:
(Many of these are business journals, as many HR departments still use Meyers-Briggs in the hiring process, so this is a significant issue in the business community.)

I think it's fine to use Meyers-Briggs as entertainment, or a fun thing to do, but I just wouldn't get too wrapped up in it. And there's no way I'd use it in the hiring process, or in any serious business process, such as team-building, or leadership training.
