I know. I am arguing with academics every week on this subject, as they say language is necessary to be able to produce a thought. I see my dog think and analyze sounds and makes jokes beside playing insulted every day. I think it goes beyond learnt behaviour based on stimuli, yes.

Of course. If morality is relative, why be a christian in the first place. You could do what you wanted. We have a creator who set the world in order. Our morality is driven from his order.

Jesus said the He is the way, the truth and the life. It all goes downhill if stray from that in how you conduct your life. In a secular world there is not really any moral standards, only ethical ones based on human reasoning and conduct.

Yep and animals having coherent thought and action like us is biblical as well, perhaps the only example of this in the bible is baalim's ass keeping him from being slain by one of God's angels each time altering it's path when the angel was nearing with the sword, for the sake of her master.

I believe that it is biblical as there was a talking donkey in the book of Numbers. His conversation and thought process seemed coherent to me. The Geico lizard talks too but I would not call that biblical. :)

No other questions yet......

I try one last one before I go to bed. I can't be the only one with questions here!

Do you think variations in human kind, like color of skin, physical apperance, disabilities etc. are a part of the creation and should celebrated as such?

well I specifically said "her"because the animal was female and loyal to baalim where as if baalim had gone through with going to barak before consulting with God then the angel would have slain him.

Part of creation yes,in my opinion to be celebrated no,unless praise is given only to God for one being made as they are.

Can an animal think or does it just respond to stimuli and rekognition or by instinct?
What is "thinking"? Let us call it "conceptualizing" :) Of course animals conceptualize, as well as being in possession of other cognitive faculties. Some mammals are said to be more intelligent than humans, who tend to fixate on communication and technology as marks of intelligence. Animals do communicate, though :) The fact that they did not develop the internet before we did may also be another sign of superior intelligence

This is the thread where all questions are allowed. And I could fill this thread alone because I have multiple times more questions than answers. I am every lecturer's nightmare with all the questions I have!

It is also a thread for all those that thing they know every answer to every question (do I dare to mention names?)

My first question is:

If you can speak an unknown language in tongues, can you write and read it, too?
はい、私はできる。..................
