'Der Hölle Rache' is the most famous track on this album, probably because it's the first track. The rest of the tracks are all the same (save for I think, either the last one or last two, which are performed by an almost equally terrible baritone), so the whole thing really is 40 minutes of pain.
When I taught the Gen-Ed music history class for non-music majors, I would always throw this one on for the critical writing portion, just to mess with the students. The looks on their faces made my day. That's right, I was the best music history prof EVAR.
