Dramamine works wonders, and not just for motion sickness. Take one and sleep the whole flight.
It's the airport and all the rules I'm not afraid to fly....I don't think they would like me to be sleep walking through the check in process.....lol

I am back on track in my smoking elimination program - only 3 a day. I could increase it slightly but then I would have to lie to my wife and I will not do that. I record each smoke in this little note book listing the date, time, amount and my current thoughts. My current thoughts are that I am a drug addict, nicotine is my drug of choice and that smoking is my disease. I want to live but still practice something that must eventually lesson my quality of life and kill me.

I am in a lot of pain right now but it is all in my head. When it is all in my heart I will no longer be in pain.

My wife is a wonderful woman. She is worth fighting and living for.

It is a struggle but one that can be overcome with the help of God and the love of my wife.

What hurts me the most is to see the look of pain in the eyes of the one that I love and know that I am the cause of it.

I believe that God has placed me on earth to alleviate pain and suffering. Perhaps that includes my own as well and I must mitigate the damage my poor decisions of the past. Today is a new day and God has given to me a clean slate. It is time to start moving forward and to leave the past to where it belongs.

Also time to start saying NO to bad habits they don't go away just because we wish them away... At some point you have to stop doing what it is you are doing. NO you have to start saying NO I won't eat that extra whatever at this moment. I won't smoke that cigarette because I don't need it and it is harming my body and slowly killing me and those around me who love me. Chipping away at their hearts a little at a time. You have to stop picking up the pack of cigarettes, you have to throw away the lighter and you have to stop buying the smokes. You have to put the fork down, You have to not open the frig door.

In order to stop the bad habits YOU HAVE TO PRAY AND ASK FOR HELP!!!!NOW!!! We both have to say NO AND STOP DOING WHAT WE ARE DOING! God is there and He is waiting for us to ask for His Help.... JUST SAY NO!!!!! AND STOP!!!!!

Sometimes it ain't that easy sister. I'm not a smoker but I've had other things to overcome. "Just say no" is easy to do as prevention, but it's not so good as a cure. And it's harder for some to quit than it is for others.

I believe that I am at the cusp of not smoking anymore. I am reading this little pamphlet - it is comical in its approach but serious in its implications and is worthy of consideration.

I am now down to 2 smokes a day. It is better to have cravings for 2 smokes a day than to satisfy cravings for 40 - 50 smokes a day. My pain has been self-induced but God is merciful and compassionate and has mitigated a large measure of what I am experiencing. God has given me the love of a wonderful woman and that is a stronger and more desirable feeling than sucking smoke into my lungs and polluting my body that is suppose to be a temple to the Lord.

I know this has been a hard thing for you to do and I can't imagine the pain and suffering of nicotine addiction, but I do know the pain and suffering of finding my mom dead at 8 because she would not give up the life style she chose even when a doctor advised her to stop that life style or she would not live to see her daughter grow up. I do know the pain of watching my father die from lung cancer because he chose to smoke from the age of 12 and that is the year he left me as an orphan. Both parents gone because of cigarettes, Yes, I do hate smoking with a passion.

Cigarettes leave a trail of pain and suffering for the loved ones left behind. My brother died at 39 leaving three children behind mostly grown but one still in high school and leaving a broken hearted wife.

This is why I love you so much my tourist to not let you continue this horrible habit as I don't want to become that broken hearted wife. I am so very proud of you and the progress you have made. I promise you that God is on your side with getting rid of this habit that costs so much to your own physical self and to those around you who love you. God will give you the victory over this habit continue to rest on Him and lean on me for support as you have it from me until the day I die.

This is where God and prayer come into play because we can't and are unable to do these things on our own we are not capable, but God certainly is so I ask Where is our trust and faith in Him? I believe and am trying to help tourist believe also that God is able to help him overcome this horrible habit. Faith and prayer and saying no work together. Faith without works is dead and in this case saying No to a cigarette is the work that is needed and God will bless and help tourist resist. Tourist just has to believe and hold onto God for the victory of this habit. I believe.

Oh I never said it was impossible... just that it ain't easy.

I'm reminded of a cartoon I saw one time. A man was sitting at his office desk, nervously chewing up a throw rug or a piece of carpet. The caption says, "Mr. Wilson is now on his third day without a single cigarette."

Y'all still being together is a good sign. If you haven't had any major fights yet, with him going through this, you'll probably stick together through anything.

Nothing to fight over we just discuss things and tell each other how we feel. Not saying there will never be a fight just no fights so far. I'd like to think with God's help we can keep it that way. I only nag about the cigarettes because I love him and he might think I stopped if I stopped....lol I keep telling him that he only has to go through nicotine withdraw once and it will get easier over time. The smoking of one or two a day still just prolongs the agony that will ultimately have to be gone through. I am with him all the way and he has come a long way in a short time this is with God's help. I believe the end of the smokes is in sight.

That's what I meant. A man going through nicotine withdrawal, if he hasn't snapped at you yet... he's a keeper!

The struggle continues but I feel much better about myself than I did before I decided to quit smoking. I am still at 2 smokes a day but that is going to change soon. The next step is one a day and then zero. The pain remains but it is less each day.

I am in a lot of pain today, of the usual kind, withdrawal from nicotine. This is a hard way to live and the sad thing is that it is self-inflicted. What does not kill me can only make me stronger. It will be close.

My dad died from cancer... I know very well what cigarettes did for him and, if you search the net, you could find out what addictions are doing against their life: Divorce, if a person is a drug consumer. Gamblers lose their jobs and homes, etc.

You´re going to beat it, bro.

There is chewing gum with nicotine. He needs a loving treatment to overcome it... Just watch he doesn´t get addicted to sugar.

I am having a rough day today with withdrawal pains from nicotine. When will these cravings end? I can only thank God that I was wise in never taking drugs. I quit drinking in 1992 and I don't miss alcohol. One day I hope that I won't be missing cigarettes. I have made some bad choices in my life. I am older now, and with the grace of God I will be wiser. Only time will tell my story.
