My dad isn't going to make it, according to the precious little information I've gotten about the situation. I'm just waiting to find out through some family member's STATUS UPDATE that my DAD has died.

Lord God of Israel, my most powerful universal God of all thngs now and forever, please hear my prayer. If it be Your will please see this man through this darkest of hours and make him whole. I pray no matter Your course You guide us with Your understandng and wisdom and shine Your light for us to see. Please be with this Bride of Christ, his daughter, this hour and see her through this season and comfort her. She stands ready to face Your will and Your will be done! She will face it bravely and with faith. In Christ's name Your will be done. In Christ's name Your will be done.

Man, it's TOUGH to lose someone. On the 17th, it was the first year anniversary that my grandpa died. I honestly didn't take it too hard, it's almost like I wasn't meant to grieve. But it's still tough knowing I'm not gonna see him here on this earth again.

Thanks for bringing so many laughs and much-needed sanity to the forum.
I don't know if this will help you but the last time I had some major decisions to make (and I'll be facing them for a second time in the next few months), I was terrified of making the wrong decisions. I would get up early all the time to pray because I was so worried about making the wrong choices (about a job, place to live, etc.)
One day I believe God specifically told me, "Don't be afraid, because I will be with you (no matter what decision you make or job you wind up with.)"
This was a huge comfort to me and while of course, nothing went picture-perfect, I know He's been with me in the way things have worked out. While I'm terrified of making another wrong decision as well... I do feel somewhat comforted in knowing He'll be there no matter what (the Bible story that came to mind was of Jacob--Laban changed his wages unfairly many times, but each time, God worked it out to Jacob's prosperity), and I pray it will be the same for you, Cristen, as well as giving you peace of mind.

New update.
Cristen just had a bit of a breakdown. She's ok, but the fact of her fathers death had sunk in, and her kids went wild and other problems at home all hit her at once. She's got a lot of issues going on surrounding all this that i won't give details about. But she needs a lot of prayer right now. And over the next few days or weeks even.

I just found out, Cristen . I hope you get peace through all of this, and please know that we all feel unlovable sometimes (or at least under-lovable occasionally). It doesn't make you any less loved, though; you were bought with a price, and Someone said you were worth taking the cross for :').
