Hi Jilly! I have a question for YOU!

Let's revisit a post you made a few days ago concerning crayons, shall we! Should be fun!

If you recall, Green claimed that the picture below had 120 crayons. But you were too quick for that weren't you?! Yes you were! Here's what you said:

Jilly81 says:

Nah, that's 96, not 120, Green. Do the math (16 crayons per little box, 6 little boxes), and besides, it says so on the big box. Also, do you mind putting them away correctly? It's really agitating me to see that a few boxes have 14 or 15 crayons, while you jammed 17 into some of the others. Also, at least three of the crayons are upside down.
:):):) Great answer! What do you say we do a little experiment?

When you look at this picture here, does anything kinda...

I don't know about her, but I only use mechanical pencils because I don't like the way ^those pencils^ look after they've been sharpened a few times and the erasers are worn down. I like all of my pencils and pens to be identical, so I buy packs at a time. I have always liked colored markers rather than crayons so they would not look as messy as that box. I also like all of my pens/pencils pointing in the same direction in my pen/pencil cup.

And all of my office tools/equipment match. :)

I don't judge people with messy desks, but I can't concentrate if my workspace is not extremely well organized. :)

A house exploded (gas leak...NOT funny, but no one was home at the time) and we had to park our cars far away and set out across a snowy cornfield on foot to get there. The deep snow, drifting and darkness of night hid a VERY deep ditch. Let's just say that when a 5.6 person sinks into a snow filled ditch, it's pretty funny and they need a lil help getting out.:eek: Lesson learned: If you have to cross a snow covered field at night, let someone else take the lead. :)

Oh...and the time another officer hit me in the face with a pie pan full of whipped cream

oh, gosh....so many.

I don't know if it's the funniest, but I was just thinking of this the other day, what with the holidays coming up and all. I was in the Marines, stationed in Guantanamo Bay. We put up a fake Christmas tree in our work site (and it was the 80's, so even the atheists had fun with this and didn't get their panties in a wad over a Christmas tree), and decorated it with paper chains that we made out of or work reports. We also used our magnetic reel tapes as steamers. Reports that made it to the mulching machine was "snow." The tree looked gorgeous! We were going to take a picture, but then we realized, everything we used to decorate it was a top secret material of some sort, so no pictures. We were so bummed!

What kind of music does everyone like?
Recorded music:
Modern Country/Western
Classic Rock
Contemporary Christian: praise/worship, pop/rock/R&B/Hip-hop. JJ Heller, The Afters, Jamie Grace, Toby Mac, and Lecrae, to name a few.
Hits from the 60's, 70's, and 80's, in that order. :p

When it comes to live music, I like all the genres listed above, plus:
Classical/Opera
Jazz/Blues
Bluegrass/Folk

I've listened to all kinds, was DJ in college and played the grunge scene mostly, or, 'alternative' as it's called, up and coming bands, which was neat, I heard songs that became top 40, on the cutting edge, but, that music never did anything for my spiritual life, except bring it down.

I eventually left it and never went back, same for top 40, left it, and, sure, although I do listen, at times, to contemporary secular music, it's not my choice, for the Enemy knows what I've liked--can you imagine having sat in your room 12 hours a day and just recorded every 1988 top 40 station song that came on? which, yes, I did my freshman summer of college-- .

I admire those that can find Christ in gory, macabre sounding sounds of death and suicide and going the wrong way and God makes it right way through the death of your soul's desire, but, it's not me, that sound. As close as I get to that kind of sound is Stryper and that's 'honestly,' not even a good example. I heard way to much Ronny James Dio and Nazareth and Judas Priest, from friends, mostly playing in high school, to EVER want to like acid rock music, or, 'heavy metal' as it's called. But, God bless those who find LIFE! in Him through that type of music, I just don't .

So, what do you listen to green?

Besides mostly financial stuff on my radios now, I listen to the top 40 Christian station , 105.3 Spirit , ONLY as my choice. Again ,that's just me, but, miladies and notmydudes, The Devil is real, he was real when God through him out of heaven and he was real when he duped Eve (and Adam) and he is REAL today. Just is. You have GOT to understand the crazy nature of we humans and putting things, like music, in your life that does NOT bring on the doing of wrong things, does not bring on the thinking of wrong thoughts, even, is NOT a good idea. Ooh, green double-negative, don't do that. :D

But, seriously, may the music of your life be the music of His night for you, this my hope and prayer for all of us :)
For His music, one day, will be the only sounds we hear, you want to GLOM onto that kind of 'sound' in your life now since you are choosing it --eternally-- later , right :)

We decorated a six foot pot plant recovered in a raid once. Took the Sheriff two days to notice what it was (sitting right outside of his office). It was very pretty. :) He said to be sure the lights didn't get too hot. :)

I actually DO have a pic, but it probably wouldn't be a good idea to post it here. :)

Because it was more pot than plant?

Between your posts, mine and Zero's, the DEA has probably staked this thread out.

I have no funny work related stories, just injuries & rude customers. I have funny "on my way to work" stories, that's about it. Sorry.
