I rinse my mouth out with warm-ish water after I brush my teeth.
I wash my hands in water that's almost too hot to touch.
Toilet paper must be OVER or else people start getting killed around here...
Whichever shoe I find first goes on first. I wear flip-flops most of the time, so I don't untie them...but, I only untie tied shoes if I can't get my foot out.

Where do you keep your kitchen/dish towel? On the fridge handle? On the counter? Where?
Mine goes on the fridge handle, and so help anyone who moves it.
Oven handle opener thingy. Fridge handle? Psh... that's in the way. Freaky to think of always touching that thing every time i open the fridge. And not clean. Dirty hands touching the fridge handle way more than the oven. And and and it can't dry properly all bunched up. So more bacteria. Ya fruitcake.

I like the idea of hanging the towel on the oven door handle, but knowing me, I'd shut it in the oven accidentally while baking and set the whole place on fire. So, I hang it on the fridge, because it's just...safer, for the whole world, if I do it that way :p

- Do you rinse your mouth out after you brush your teeth?
Yeppers!
- If yes, do you use hot or cold water?
Cold-ish. Not too cold.
- What temperature water do you use to wash your hands?
When I was younger, cold. I use warm/hot water now.
- Toilet paper roll: Over or under?
OVER. Whoever disagrees is wrong. The end.
- Right shoe or left shoe on first?
Whichever shoe I find first.
- Untie your shoes and then take them off when you get home, or just shove them off while still tied?
I keep them on when I get home until I have to shove 'em off my feet.

Hot. Hot water helps kill bacteria. Why use cold water when hot water has more benefits to clean?
From what I've read, hot water and cold water have no effect on the amount of bacteria killed (example article). *Shrugs*

I use cold water because I like how it feels, so cool and refreshing. I also love soaps, but I hate public restroom soap. 99% of the time it smells gross or too...public-bathroomy.

Its true that washing your hands in hot water does nothing to kill germs or bacteria. I learned that in pharmacy class. In order to kill germs and bacteria you need expose them to about 400 degrees F for several minutes. Got sunscreen?

- Do you rinse your mouth out after you brush your teeth?Yes always, gotta have clean chompers all around.
- If yes, do you use hot or cold water? Hot hot hot
- What temperature water do you use to wash your hands? Hot..then sanitizer
- Toilet paper roll: Over or under? OVEEERRRRR. THE END!
- Right shoe or left shoe on first? Whichever one I stumble on first. Very clumsy lol
- Untie your shoes and then take them off when you get home, or just shove them off while still tied?I leave mine tied. I'm not sure why, maybe subconsciously it is just easier for me. Either way, they get shoved off and left by the door (keeps the carpets cleaner)

Owning playful cats. I'm not a cat person, hence why I can stick with over, but if you have an easily fascinated cat and you don't want all of your TP unrolled and piled next to the commode, going under saves you that trouble.
Thank you Shouryu, that was helpful, now I can see the other side of this debate. I suppose having small children who like to unroll toilet paper would require under rolling of toilet paper.

- Do you rinse your mouth out after you brush your teeth? Yes.
- If yes, do you use hot or cold water? If the toothbrush happens to be in my left hand, I use cold water because my free hand is on the cold side. If the brush is in my right hand, I use hot water. I tend to "switch hit" when shaving too, and like brushing, I don't always start on the same side. I guess I'm kind of weird.
- What temperature water do you use to wash your hands? warm to hot....but not scalding
- Toilet paper roll: Over or under? In the upstairs bathroom, it goes under, because that is the bathroom in which the cats are allowed (their litterbox is in that one). The picture below illustrates what happens when the paper is loaded with the paper loaded "over." The downstairs bathroom, however, has the paper going over. This is the "company" bathroom which needs to be somewhat presentable since I teach piano lessons in my home.
- Right shoe or left shoe on first? It doesn't matter. The second shoe is always left. Think about it.
- Untie your shoes and then take them off when you get home, or just shove them off while still tied? I live in California, where we wear sandals all the time. What are these "shoes" of which you speak?

I think that the human body was actually designed to work with an over-rolling toilet paper method.

I mean, our arms are built so that we can just kind of flop them over there and start the roll spinning in the correct direction. Then, the paper itself is already pointed in your direction and within easy reach. When the roll is under-spinning it is working against gravity and causing us to burn way too many calories, plus throwing off our equilibrium with it's backward ways.

Our human eyes are made so that we don't see well in the dark (at midnight, then at 3am, then at 6am), but with an over-rolling roll, it's no matter, because the paper is just right there. No need to go searching underneath the roll for where ever the end of the paper may have ended up.

Our instincts also support over-rolling. When we swipe at something, we swipe downward. It's natural. Well, a high-five is swiped upward, but that's at chest level, not knee level. No one ever swipes at knee level with an upward motion.

Have you ever had to spin the roll with your foot? Well, neither have I, but can you imagine trying to do it with the roll turned under? Yeah.

I may need to add this to my eHarmony requirements, along with honesty and must-love-tulips. It's just that important.
best. answer. EVAH!!! For a minute or two, I was rethinking my views of "soulmates" and my heart was going pit-a-pat.... Alas, I am too old for you :)

This has nothing to do with being single, nor is it deep or meaningful. But, I'm curious to know.

Here's how it started: My dad and I were watching a sitcom, and the guy was brushing his teeth. When he was done, he just walked out with his wife into another room. I made the comment, "He didn't even rinse his mouth out afterwards!" My dad looked at me and said, "...I don't." "You don't??" I thought that was something everyone did. I also had a roommate who rinsed her mouth out afterwards with hot water, which I thought was strange. I get weird looks when I tell people I always wash my hands in cold water, even in the winter.

So, here are my questions, and feel free to ask some of your own! Yes, I'm in a strange mood.
- Do you rinse your mouth out after you brush your teeth?
Yes, as I'm not a fan of swallowing much left over tooth-paste residue.

- If yes, do you use hot or cold water?
Cool. To say 'hot' or 'cold' would be false, because my teeth are somewhat sensitive, and that sounds about as fun as nails on a chalkboard...

- What temperature water do you use to wash your hands?
Room? I turn the cold water on, usually, but occasionally use warm (or hot or cold if no other option). I'm really not picky...

- Toilet paper roll: Over or under?
Both. I'm a heretic.

- Right shoe or left shoe on first?
You know, I never really thought about it, but...this is one I've also done both for...

- Untie your shoes and then take them off when you get home, or just shove them off while still tied?
Shove them off while still tied. Saves times and effort...

...might answer some other questions or post my own, but it is already after 1am...

I'm not sure if I've ever pit-a-patted a heart before. That made my day!!

You might not want to stick around for the nosehairs/tweezers round of questions then...

- Do you rinse your mouth out after you brush your teeth?
Yes.

- If yes, do you use hot or cold water?
Cold, same used to brush with.

- What temperature water do you use to wash your hands?
Generally cold, as hot water takes too long and is wasteful.

- Toilet paper roll: Over or under?
Over. ALWAYS over. Those who support under should be deported.

- Right shoe or left shoe on first?
Whichever one I grab first.

- Untie your shoes and then take them off when you get home, or just shove them off while still tied?
Untied. I can't stand to try and muscle on a tied shoe.

What's up with everyone having the toilet paper roll the wrong way?!
I'm confused...everyone said 'over', which is the only correct way. You can't possibly mean that 'under' is correct, else you be banished from the kingdom, forced to spend eternity looking on the land of common sense from afar.

That may be one of the most thorough... bizarre.... and awesome responses to that question ever... hahahaha

Miss Grace-Rain is spot on.
Here's scientific proof.

Rinse? - of course, we're not barbarians. We all use the same mouthwash from granny on down. And spit it back in. (Penny saved and all...)

Temp water to wash? Cold - (and oh, come on! The big chunks sink to the bottom)

Over or under? You left out the option 'Or rip?'

Left or right shoe on first? Pretty much dictated by my balance.

What was the last question - oh now I have to scroll up!

Tied or untied when you get home? see pic.

I don't have teeth to brush. I quit brushing decades ago and the problem solved itself.

I do rinse my mouth out occasionally though, I just gum on a loofah sponge. The temperature varies by the season though since I wring it out in a storm gutter.

I rarely put toilet paper in the holder since I generally use an entire roll every time I go.

Tied or untied? I wear moccasins on my feet. Water moccasins. Yes, the species of snake.

Which one first? Left of course. Anything else would just be ridiculous.

I got Ugly confuzzled... cool :D

But seriously, ever wondered why there's a line in front of the women's restrooms, while there's no such line in front of the men's restrooms? It's because we just don't care about stuff like washing our hands... Well, REAL guys don't care about it...
